Scott English has been handling our plumbing issues for our condo for a few years and we have nothing but good things to say about them. The HOA is responsible for walls in, and they work for the HOA also so they can handle those issues as well. I was happy to learn that the HOA will be responsible this time! This review is specifically in reference to Jimi. We have a slab leak and were fortunate enough to have Jimi come out for service. He was not only friendly and polite, but was clearly knowledgeable and efficient. Jimi explained the problem and was very good about filling us in on who was responsible for the different situation-as in, the homeowner vs. the association. This phase of the job had him working until 8:00 p.m., but he was still very thorough and careful. (He even swept the leaves out of our garage before leaving and made extra sure that we would keep our dog out of the garage/harm's way until the job is done!) I gave permission for the plumber to enter my garage, scheduling on the phone said the plumber would call 45 minutes before arrival. I never receive a call before or after, he left a hole in my ceiling, I don't even know when he showed up, what work was done, or if the work is completed or not. There is zero communication after initial scheduling, until this survey was emailed, presuming the work is finished? Still no explanation of work done and there is a hole in my ceiling. 08/08/17 |

I own a condo in Huntington Beach that has a recurring plumbing issue, requiring the main condo association plumbing line to be flushed out every 6 to 9 months. As the owner of the ground level end unit, when the main plumbing line begins to back up due to food, hair, etc going down our drains and causing clogs after the pipes merge just past my unit, my condos kitchen sink is the closest outlet to see the water backing up. Despite the association approving and paying for the plumbing services, previous plumbing companies have required that I be physically present to meet them at the condo unit and they always inspect my pipes to make sure I am not causing the clog. Scott English Plumbing promptly came out and assessed the plumbing needs, and agreed that what I said is correct and the service was necessary. Best of all, they acknowledged that there was no need to access my unit in the future in order to flush the main plumbing line which is located on the exterior of my condo wall. I thoroughly appreciate their exceptional service, for understanding the recurring need of this condo building and for saving me time by understanding that there is no need to access my unit to flush the main pipe. Satisfied with the work the Scott English service tech performed in locating the source of a water leak in my townhouse. Technician was professional and courteous while performing the repair. My only recommendation which would apply to any plumbing company providing emergency service is to continually strive to reduce the response time. This is the second time we have called Scott English Plumbing, and again, we were extremely impressed with the service, interest in our problems, and getting the job done. In our second case, the problem was easily resolved by having Kevin having us run water throughout the house plumbing, which one bathroom we had not been using for almost a year. We were not charged for this service call, which impressed us immensely, and we will recommend them highly on our NextDoor Neighborhood email as just the Best! Mikey did a great job considering it took a few hours to just find we're the slab leak was. When he figured out that we would have to cut into a wall mirror,he went ahead and cut a 1 by 2 foot square in the mirror with minimal damage. Then rerouted with pex to the kitchen sink and was finished by the end of the day.
We had another company out and they told us it was a leak in the garage 20 feet from the actual leak.

I noticed my water heater leaking and called Scott English Plumbing. On the date of my appointment I got a call that the service tech would be at my house in 45 minutes to an hour. And guess what, he was on time! My experience with SEP was off to a great start. Kevin was the name of the service tech and my initial reaction was that he was polite, friendly and clean. I showed him the water heater and after he inspected it he recommended that it be replaced. I asked him a myriad of questions and he answered all of them with confidence and communicated the issues very well. He showed me where the leaks were occurring and the parts that had failed. He presented me with the options to remedy my problem and we moved forward with replacing the water heater. I really appreciated the fact that he wasn't trying to sell me any BS.
The next phase was getting the new water heater to my house, along with another person to help with the install ( I needed a 75 gallon water heater), which to my surprise, was going to happen the same day. Another plus! The timelines he gave me for all of the work were accurate for every step of the process. Another tech Diego showed up to help, he was also friendly and clean. They worked fast but were never rushing. I had a more complex install because I have a recirculation pump, which Kevin immediately identified. After they finished the install the to great effort to clean up their work space. They left it cleaner than they found it. I was so impressed that I called and spoke with Scott about my positive experience. After detecting a gas leak and having the Gas Co. turn off our gas, Scott English plumbing was called in by our HOA. Kelly was very prompt in calling us, and Josh M. showed up at the appointed time. Josh was polite, efficient, very knowledgable, and, in short, very professional. He did the job, and kept us informed as to what was happening.
