Waited for 1st person, couldn’t give a quote. Said he would send a 2nd person who did the work. He came the next day with notice arriving as he got to door. Wanted 1500.00 to remove a 4” thick by 6”x12” piece of concrete, plus cost to remove and replace pipe was unknown till they did the work. Guess they did show up, roto rutor we called 4 days in a row. The entire team was very professional and efficient. They installed the new drain line for my sump pump in one day. They let me know when they were coming with a picture of the tech on the email. Although the work had taken a little longer, they stayed late until it was done. They cleaned up and made the yard look good when they left. Jun 9, 2020: 2nd time using Mr. Rooter. Way later than the scheduled appointment time but to be fair, they did call to say they were behind. That being said, my water leak was a simple fix but one beyond my ability. Aaron arrived and crushed it! I will always call Mr. Rooter first.
Keep in mind, this is New Years Day 2018. No hot water because of suspected bad element and I couldn't drain the tank. Was given an appointment time of 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Adam arrived at 4:45. He had no magic trick to drain the tank but with a minimum of water loss he quickly took out the bad element and inserted the new one. Not exactly what I expected or wanted but Adam did what he could based on my circumstances. He was personable, professional and very knowledgeable. I have one bathroom in my old farmhouse and it was hopelessly clogged on Sunday. 6/7/20. I called and someone was sent out within 45 minutes.
A nice young man named Chris Byers was our tech. He was polite and was full of confidence that he could fix the problem quickly. He did!!!! He had the toilet unclogged in less than ten minutes.

I had a drain cleaning for exterior down spout to curb drain. The guy with the camera should have been first, but after two days was a no show. The plumber cleared the drains but nothing came out. The problem remained after a $623 bill to wait for the camera guy to inspect for any other issues. After two days of phone calls telling me he’s been delayed, they gave up. At this point, I give up as well. The plumber was also several hours late after a 3 hour window. I feel swindled since no care was given to a diagnosis to the issue and the no show follow up. Even the survey I received had a different plumber’s name on it that didn’t match the plumber or the name I was given for the camera guy. I will not use this company again nor would I recommend anyone use them. The $623 was a “special” and was told its normally over $900. I feel the $623 was high considering what was done or rather not done. But that didn’t stop the plumber from offering an up sell to replace the pipes for $4000. Recently we had a water issue in our basement. When we contacted Mr. Rooter, after 5pm, the representative realized the urgency of our situation and advised she would try to get a tech to us that evening. By 8pm she returned our call apologizing all techs were tied up on jobs and would not be able to come that night however we were listed as a priority reschedule the next day. By 7 am the next morning we had a call from Mr. Rooter letting us know a tech would be with us within the hour. Dustin arrived within the hour as promised and had our house up to working order within an hour. He explained in detail what he was doing every step of the way, showed the tools he was using and explained how they worked and also had me view the camera as it was making it's way down the drain. Dustin made recommendations to items/services we may need to consider in the future as well as contacted another individual (Jim) to stop by that day for an estimate for the additional services that may be needed. Everyone we had contact with were professional and courteous, kept us informed of every step along the way and arrived when they said they would. After a basement flood causing no hot water and calling several companies, with extremely long wait times. No hot water for more than 3 days, not being able to get the hot water heater pilot lit as it had been under water. I called Mr. Rooter late in the evening, I told them my situation, and that another company had me on a 3 week wait to get hot water! The receptionist was empathetic and polite she assured me they would get someone out if not that night the next morning for sure. As promised the tech arrived and quickly inspected the problem, ran cameras through my drainage systems and replaced my hot water heater in no time!

Calling Mr. Rooter I was greeted with the best customer service agent - during a continuous daily rain, I had expected to be waiting for a few days to get service - however the customer service professional was able to get someone out to the site in a manner of hours - at the job site (rental property) the service technician was prompt, professional and maintained proper quarantine procedures while interacting with my tenants - the work was completed to my satisfaction and especially to the tenants who had water coming from the basement sump pump - I most ardently recommend Mr. Rooter for all your plumbing needs. With all of the rain my sump pump stopped working. They were able to send someone out the day of even with the high demand of people calling.
