Minneapolis St. Paul Plumbing, Heating & Air is fantastic. We called on a Monday for a plumbing and Hvac remodeling job we wanted to do - both Nick T and John were at the house the next morning! Fantastic customer service - both Nick and John were thorough in their prep work, both answered all our questions with honesty and knowledge and both gave us a fair and reasonable price for the work. We had Brian A. Come to do our first iyearly inspection on our furnace. I found out several things were very bad and needed replacement.
Brian explained our options and we decided to replace our furnace.

Jeremy Peterson was a skilled, helpful, dedicated heating technician and master plumber who came into our house with frozen pipes and broken radiators, staying late and even working until 8 PM on a Friday night to restore heat and radiators! He explained everything in detail, was honest and was able to fix heating pipes in a 100 year old house with complicated pipes and many ceiling layers. Courteous helpful and kind are other words I would use to describe this master plumber. He was honest and trustworthy and did an excellent job fixing the pipes. The whole company was really efficient and did a great job healing our broken home. John H. also was a plumber who came and fixed our broken plumbing pipes and bathroom fixtures that froze up when the heat went out. He was fast efficient, hard working thourough and did an awesome job cleaning up when he had to tear out layers of ceilings in the kitchen to get to broken pipes. My only criticism of this experience is that every transaction (options and final invoice for the visit) were done electronically on the technician's iPad. So when he left, I had no paper printout (for parts and labor) to document the repair and no record that I had paid in full. And despite my two e-mails to Customer Service asking for a PDF of the 3-4-13 invoice, I still have not received anything. Ultimately, then, the technician (Kenneth H.) and service were excellent, but follow-through from Customer Service somewhat lacking. 03/09/14 |

Hatfield and Mostad were professional. Hatfield did no work. Mostad was clean, worked hard and explained what he was doing. Upon completion he told us what to watch for. We are disappointed that we received no itemization of charges: no labor rate, no prices of parts, pump etc. When I asked how much a pump cast he replied " a lot." Jeremy B. provided excellent HVAC service to me on 3/6/14. He was honest and up front with his findings and recommendations, and explained everything in detail. He is very knowledgeable about every aspect of furnaces and central air, has a great attitude about his work, and took the time to answer all of my questions in a courteous, respectful and friendly way and NEVER made me feel like I was wasting his time with dumb questions. A friend recommended Mpls St Paul Plumbing Heating and Air long before I needed a plumber. She said they were easy to have in her home, were efficient and effective and stood behind their work. She was right. John dealt with a number of problems I had with the kitchen and bathroom plumbing and in no time, all was well again. He asked how I would score him on a 10 point scale. Last year I had a both my furnace and AC replaced by Minneapolis St Paul and they did a great job. I would recommend them Part of the cost of the replacement included an annual checkup. Nick T came out and I was very impressed even more than with the install which was also great. He quickly checked the furnace and it was all I was expecting. He then spent the time to further guide me on the use of the system, all which I thought I knew most everything about. He made sure the controller software was up to date and when he found out it was not he completed the updates showing me how to do everything step by step. Well-trained, skilled, efficient. Thorough, careful, tidy. And best of all: Clear and precise with explaining what was wrong with my furnace and how best to repair it. Ken Hatfield called to say he would be late. He conducted his inspection professionally. He had to call others to ask questions. He did not check baseboard lines or thermostat Todd Mostad was late but the company called. he was fully informed and went to work right away. He was clean and efficient and explained clearly what he was doing. He told us what to watch for in the operation of the furnace. THERE WAS NO ITEMIZATION OR EXPLANATION OF CHARGES OR HOURLY RATES. When asked how much a boiler pump casts, Todd. replied - a lot. He talked to us about new heat exchangers and boilers, but not about hoe the system was delivering heat to the house. Todd Mostad was late but the company called to say he would still be there. he was fully informed about the situation and went right to work. He was clean and efficient and explained clearly what he was doing. After completing his work he thoroughly explained his work and told us what to watch for in the operation of the furnace. John H. is a very knowledgable, hardworking plummer that saw our issue of no hot water and ensured that a new water heater was installed and running that day. He worked well into the evening to make sure we would not go another day without it. He was down to earth and could relate to our situation. He paid particular attention to our family's safety, and updated what he could to bring our house up to code. Jeremy B responded the day we called to check our furnace for a chirping sound we heard when the fan ran at high speed. All the settings checked out perfectly. The fan noise occurs only at the highest rpm and is caused by a vibration that poses no problem. We will monitor this event through the remainder of the winter and check it again in the summer. Jason was my sales person did a great job in explaining everything to me and set up installation of the new energy efficient furnace and hot water tank for the next morning.
Terry and Adam were the Techs that were on a deadline to work around my appointment. They showed up exactly on time and they finished before 2pm which was their time line. They were both outstanding in their customer service (even cleaning up) and knowledgeable professionals who knew exactly what to do. They explained to me how everything works and what to expect and answered all my questions (very nice people). I felt that they were reasonable in price but the best thing is that I know my new energy efficient furnace and water heater were professionally installed by licensed professionals. The last furnace wasn’t done by someone with a license just bonded and I had problems with that furnace within the first year and they did not help me. They even made my furnace acceptable to central air if or when I decide to put that in (going one step beyond). Absolutely, I would recommend them to others! They both made my part easy.
