Jeremy P. determined what the problem was with our boiler, found another problem which needed to be fixed and gave several options for making necessary repairs and things that could be done to prevent future problems. My sump pump was not working. I called Mpls. St. Paul Plumbing & Heating for help. Jeremy Peterson was the technician assigned to come out. He said the old pump was no good. Adam and Terry were consummate professionals. I had a complete furnace overhaul done, replacing a '60s forced air unit in my S. Minneapolis bungalow with a high efficiency unit, and the rare indulgence of central air. They asked a few questions about the work I needed done and got down to it. Mike M (plumber) was very professional both in knowledge and appearance (right on down to his booties). He kept us informed on what was going wrong and how he was planning the correct the situation. He also gave us simple tips to help deter some possible future problems ie, vacuum the air filter on the bottom of the water heater and he also mentioned we really didn't need the 'jacket" on our particular unit. I had NO heat...and it was the coldest weekend in January. Terry had a new boiler installed and running by Tuesday. In the interim, MSP supplied me with four heaters to keep us warm. Twenty minutes after Terry left, a water pipe burst!! Brian was at the house within 30 minutes and even gave me his home phone number in case there were any more issues!! 04/14/14 |

Terry M was a great service technician. Answered all my silly questions while installing our new furnace after an emergency replacement was needed. Very prompt, professional and courteous. Sales experience was fine and informative as well, but what secured the choice for Saint Paul Plumbing Heating and Air was the customer service provided by (Chris? Kris?) over the phone the morning after our CO detectors went crazy. She out hustled the other services we called and was considerably more service oriented. One negative here, a few weeks after spending several thousand dollars with them, a different sales tech came out and quoted me 800 to replace a bathroom fan. He didn't acknowledge us as an existing customer, and seemed uninterested in maintaining a long customer relationship. Terry M. 04/13/14 |

I was concerned about the water under my heating boiler and its frequent pressure loss. I was pretty sure my boiler must have a crack and that I was about to shell out big bucks for a new boiler. Jason from St. Paul Plumbing and Heating came and had a look. After checking it out, he agreed that was one possibility. The other was that the expansion tank was full and had no more room for water. He recommended that I drain it and see how it goes for awhile. He rightly suggested I do the draining myself to save a couple hundred dollars, since it only involved a short hose, a bucket, and about 2 1/2 hours, because it only drains in a trickle. My recent experience with Minneapolis St. Paul Plumbing and Heating was outstanding from the beginning of the process to completion of the work. I was very anxious about a plumbing situation two days ago. I submitted an online request for service early yesterday morning, April 9th, before the company's office opened. As soon as they did, I received a phone call from a very helpful, considerate person who noted my specific situation and immediately took care of scheduling a time for a service technician to come to my home. The technician, John Herzog, arrived today, April 10th, right on time. He quickly and competently assessed the situation and provided me with clear, concise options on how the problem could be resolved. We discussed the pros and cons of the presented options so that I could make the best decision for how to have him proceed. Having done so, he quickly and efficiently went to work. John is thoroughly professional, including being totally responsible for leaving the work site as he finds it! That meant no mess for me to contend with after he was gone. I had a great experience with the service technician that came to inspect my plumbing. The technician went beyond simply filling out his checklist and reporting the results; he was he was able to give me a better overall view of what was going on in my house. He was able to tell me what needed to be fixed, why it needed to be fixed, and possible issues that could arise in the future. Additionally, he was very positive and welcoming of any questions that I had. I've had a lot of technicians just be and in and out type of people. Though they did good jobs, there were some definite rushed experiences. Mike Marquart was and is a friendly, kind man (who happens to be a plumber), that I would welcome in my home anytime. In a short time, he inspected my water and waste piping, including my water heater.
If I ever have any problems that I can fix, I will gladly call and ask for Mike Marquart.
I have worked in the plumbing dept. at menards for many years, and I know my way around plumbing stuff, so I know Mike is a valuable asset.
It's about time I see Mike Marquart featured as "Super Hero of The Week"!

Our water heater bit the dust on a Saturday morning and Minneapolis St. Paul Heating and Air came to our rescue with friendly phone service and a call to update us as to when the service person would arrive. The service person, John H. could not have been nicer or more professional. Our floors and stairs were covered and both the old and the new water heater were gently transported through our home without any damage to our property.
