Shawn Solum is an excellent, hard working plumber whom I have used more than once. He efficiently completed several difficult tasks which I requested. In reviewing my home, he identified appropriate items which needed to be done and gave me good advice in prioritizing them.. I had him return to complete many of these items. I was extremely pleased with the results. Shawn is friendly and has a very pleasant personality. He efficiently sticks with challenging tasks until they are completed properly. had a pin size leak in a joint of galvanized pipe and copper. I was aware that he might not be able to repair without replacing the galvanized pipe. He carefully explained the process of using heat to remove the bad connection.
John was successful in replacing the connection for me. I realize at some point I will need to do this, but unable to fund that project now. Will call them for service in the future.

My husband and I are so happy that we called Minneapolis St. Paul Plumbing for a second opinion on having to have our water main replaced. Mike was so full of information and walked us through each step on what was going to happen. He was able to get it set up in a few days and if it wasn't for the longer lead times on the concrete contractor would have been done in just a few days. I know I can depend on the people from Mpls. St. Paul Plumbing and Heating whenever I have a problem. Brian came to check on a failing air conditioner to see if it could last another season but decided it was time to change the old one out for a more efficient system. He explained the different levels of taking care of the problem- from putting a 'bandaide' on the problem or fixing it the right way to start with. the initial investment is more up front now but, hopefully, will save me in the future. Bruce stopped out for a toilet tune up. Did a great job, gave great advice/opinions/facts and did not give me that ugly feeling most of us experience when you know they are just pushing for additional sales. I felt he was honest, gave me great suggestions on what he thinks I should probably watch out for and think about replacing soon. Prior to him stopping out, I had already considered replacing exactly what he was suggesting to me. I would not hesitate to have him come back out to my house. In an odd way that I cannot explain, he almost felt like family when he sat with me at the table so he could update my file and finish up his paperwork. He's a very nice man and knows his stuff! Great job Bruce! Although, the estimate he gave me for replacement of my water heater made me gulp a little bit. But I do NOT know what other professional companies charge so I cannot compare yet. We purchased a new HVAC system from Mpls St Paul Heating and Air. Our installation technician was Adam M. and he did a phenomenal job. Adam was very diligent in making sure that everything was installed correctly and he spent as much time as I needed making sure that I new how everything operates and how to maintain the system. He made sure that he had carpet covers on his path through our house and he was very diligent in cleaning up afterwards. He ran the vacuum cleaner in the attic to make sure that it was left in the same clean condition as when he started. I would highly recommend this company for your future HVAC needs and, if you purchase a system, while my guess is that all the technicians are good, you should ask to see if Adam is available for your job. I should also say that Mitch sold us our system and spent a lot of time going through our house to ensure that he was selling us a solution to solve our problem and not just selling us an AC and Heating unit. I've been a customer for years, and I'm always really happy with the quality of the service provided by this company. From the first call until the project is completed, the experience is always pleasant and professional. Today's work by Bruce A. to diagnose a water heater problem, install a new water heater, and repair a leaking pipe was no exception. He was skilled, knowledgeable, thorough, neat, and friendly, and I'm thrilled to have been able to resolve both of these problems so quickly. Hot shower, here I come! Great company overall. Very thorough and helpful. Answered any an all questions. Installation was quit quick and painless on my part. Adam even showed me how to set up a schedule on my thermostat and told me how to clean and take care of my air conditioner, as I am a new home owner. I also very much enjoyed the fact that he took time to problem solve an issue with my air returns so we didn't have to cut another hole in my wood floors. Very clean, even when putting in a new register in my floor.
