Phil C and Marlon came from Meyer and Depew to replace our AC Unit. It was definitely one of the hottest days of the year. The guys came EXACTLY when they said they would, and we're very careful not to damage anything covering EVERYTHING with drop cloths. From the moment I scheduled my appointment to the moment when Frank and Frank left my condo I found Meyer and Depew Co. to be the pinnacle of professionalism. The technicans - Frank and Frank --were excellent, very professional, and easy going, problem-solvers and fast! They installed a new Heat Pump system for my condo unit and did it with skill and careful craftsmanship. They answered my questions clearly and were patient as well. Lou P. was a huge help when our central air kept freezing up on us during a heat wave. We called, and Lou was able to come out that same afternoon. I had two minor issues after having Meyer & Depew install a new HVAC system in my home. They responded immediately after I called them and sent Mike F. to my home to fix the problem. Mike took care of both issues. He is an experienced professional and a gentleman. I was very happy with his service and I will request Mike when I call for my regularly scheduled service next fall. Based on Yelp reviews, and a recommendation from a neighbor, I chose Meyer & Depew to replace my central air unit and furnace in my condo, and they did a perfect job. Excellent service. The original appointment was for between 12pm-5pm but I got a call at 11am asking if it was okay for someone to show up early, which worked well for me. They earn points for good communication. I needed a diagnostic on my central AC because the airflow was really weak. The tech who showed up (James P.) was great. He listened to everything I had to say and took his time looking at all components of my system. He concluded that a simple setting needed to be adjusted on the circuit board on the air handler. However the necessary wire was hard to get to. He patiently removed the components he needed to in order to access the wire. After the adjustment my system worked much better. I ended up having a ton of questions for him about how to best maintain my system, thermostat upgrades, and several other miscellaneous HVAC questions. He patiently answered all of my questions with thoughtful answers. There are a lot of less ethical techs out there who would have tried to upsell me on services that I may not have needed knowing that the solution was actually very simple. Or they would have nickled and dimed me for any service that was an inch beyond a diagnostic. James came across as an honest and competent professional. Great customer experience. James P. 06/02/16 |

My elderly neighbor (Ilse G*****) had been without air conditioning for the past 3, very warm, days (memorial day week-end!). Juraj (George) was sent by Meyer & Depew to evaluate and repair her unit. Juraj was very patient with a sweet but very distraught senior as he tried to explain what needed to be done to repair her unit. Her whole AC system had been replaced just two years ago. The service technician (Vinny) was professional, courteous, thorough and answered all my dumb questions with full explanations. He explained the options that I could choose from to resolve the problem and then he proceeded to carry out my choice. Tom B. recommended installation of a power surge protector when my new a/c unit was installed. When the annual maintenance on my a/c was performed this year, it was determined that possibly lightning had struck my unit. However, the power surge protector saved my unit from damage. I finally got lucky. Meyer and Depew in Kenilworth sent a furnace/ac technician that was absolutely fantastic and thoroughly knew what he was doing. He changed out a defective thermostat, took the time to explain how to use it, completely checked out the whole system and all the while extremely courteous and wanting to make sure there was nothing else I thought needed to be done. This man, while entering had the storm door **** come off in his hand, turned around, got a tool out of his van and fixed it free of charge while he was here. No charge. I had a very good experience with Juraj K. today. He called 1/2 hr before the scheduled appt to let me know that he was on his way. Once here, Juraj serviced my air conditioner and got me ready for the summer. I am very please with the maintenance call this season. Hopefully, the summer season will be uneventful as pertain to my unit. I am confident to call Meyer & Depew and request for Juraj for help if it's needed... (fingers crossed)
