Yesterday, 9/5/17, my air conditioner was not working and when I called M&D explaining I have breathing problems, they bumped me higher on the list. When George came, he found out part was not available but would get it by today. Few hours later I rcd. call they located the part & George came back last night & replaced it and it is working perfectly. Positive Experience: I was expecting our technician to arrive between 12-5pm, but received a call from their service department that they could arrive earlier. I agreed to the earlier call. The Technician, Joe P. was very professional and checked and replaced everything that needed to be dealt with. Our report/invoice went to an old email, so I called the service department and they corrected our account information, then quickly sent us an email with the requested report. Wonderful experience. Phil, the technician from Meyer & Depew and his associate Mike Ruivo were over the top courteous, efficient, thorough - the compressor installed on an exterior balcony is well positioned and marked to distinguish it from other units on the same utility balcony in our condo complex - the air handler installed in our small laundry room is quite beautifully done - Phil and Mike are artists - their ability to make an obtrusive object "fit in," while conserving on the space required is devoutly to be desired by anyone with a small, multi-use space. Lauren L. in business was my first encounter with the company and right away I felt at ease--Lauren has such a genuine and kind disposition and carefully explains everything--she's excellent. We have been a customer of Meyer and Depew for the past 17 years. Recently we had a problem with a newly installed A/C system. Steve L. promptly came to our home, and within an hour the system was up and running. I have only praise for Meyer and Depew and highly recommend them to anyone contemplating an HVAC system. Steve was very courteous, knowledgeable and patient with my many questions. Thank you Steve and thank you Meyer and Depew for great service. They even delivered and installed a window A/C to get us through a heat wave when our A/C died (we didn't even have a current A/C service plan at the time). I believe they are family run company. Frank and his colleagues did a great job installing a new compressor and coil for me when my last system failed after 10 years. The work was done VERY neatly and with great care and consideration for our convenience and comfort. After 30 years, decided to replace HVAC system. At the recommendation of a neighbor, called Meyer and Depew. Andre, the salesman couldn't have been more informative. Rob and Frank arrived on the scheduled date and time. Went right to work. I also needed a new circuit breaker box and Rich from ARC Electric arrived and did the job. They were all very polite and professional. Since it was a 2 day job, they made sure that the air conditioning was working properly. The second day they arrived at the scheduled time and went right to work. Once the job was completed, Rob reviewed the system with me along with the day to day operation of the unit. Patrick was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, and answered all questions in a way that made sense to non-technical people. He explained to us what was needed seasonally which we feel should have been told to us when the service people came in April. Meyer and Depew is a very good company that aims to please customers and makes good when there is a problem. My experience with this company was a positive one right from the start. My AC unit broke on a very hot, humid day (isn't that always the case:-). Meyer and Depew were recommended to me by a neighbor. I called them at 8:00AM and James P, a technician, was at my home by 1:15PM. He was friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to educate me on what was wrong. He had the parts in his truck and by 2:00PM my AC was working without breaking my bank account! On Tuesday May 30, 2017 we had our Air Conditioning system replaced by technician Frank B. and Nate his assistant. We were very happy with the work they performed. Both were professional, and customer friendly. Frank B. took his time to explain to us the instructions on how to use the new high-tech system, cleaned up after they finished. My AC unit broke down after a routine maintenance visit by another M&D tech. After several (4 to be exact) visits from other techs with no solution and still a broken AC unit, Joe Olsen was dispatched to my home for yet another repair appointment. Joe knew almost immediately what needed to be done, alerted the office as to the repair needed, and stressed the importance to the office of getting the repair done quickly due to impending extremely hot weather and my having two small children in the home. Joe came out with another tech the very next day and took care of the problem quickly and efficiently. It wasn't an easy feat and required some time in my (hot) attic rewiring power to my compressor. I wish Joe had been sent out to begin with! Joe was nothing but a consummate professional. He is friendly, hard working, respectful, and just an all-around great guy. I have used M&D for two years and wish that I knew of them sooner. The responsiveness starts with your call into the office, where everyone is courteous and attentive to your problem. On Thursday, I noticed a problem with our hot water heater. An excellent technician, Joe (who had fixed an unusual problem with our furnace in the past), was onsite later that day. He took the time to correctly diagnose the problem, get the part ordered, explain the situation to me and make sure I knew the work-around until the part could be replaced the next day. The following day, Joe returned (with Ian) to replace the part; they also made sure to run the hot water in our sinks and shower until the air was out of the pipes.
