He and his partner ***** made sure that every inch of floor space was protected from the front door all the way up to the attic. Upon completion they cleaned the entire area and it was as if they had never been lugging tools and air conditioner parts through my house. **** explained the new unit and demonstrated the filter change. Meyer & Depew is a wonderful and responsive company. We have had some problems with our HVAC system, and each time they came out in a timely manner. When the problem wasn't fixed the first time and they had to come back, they didn't charge for service on subsequent visits related to the initial issue. The technicians are always friendly and willing to explain the HVAC system to me. Our most recent technician, James P., was absolutely terrific - friendly, knowledgeable, and persistent! He spent a long time trying to get us heat temporarily while we waited for a part to come in. He also made sure we got the best deal for the part we needed. When he came back to install the part a few days later, he encountered a few problems with it. But he made sure to get it working as it should. James is a friendly, wonderful person and technician working for a great company. I'd highly recommend Meyer & Depew to anyone. James P. 10/27/15 |

I had a problem with the furnace last night and they came today.

Excellent service from Meyer and Depew. They called the night before to confirm my appointment and again the next morning when the service person was on his way. Had my annual heating maintenance done by them and Mike the technician was thorough and professional. He cleaned the entire system and checked to make sure everything was in good working order. My experience with Meyer & Depew was excellent from the start. I found them on Angie's List and bought one of their maintenance specials... Their response was quick and very flexible to "my" schedule! I just moved into this home and Michael the technician couldn't have been more helpful, he was very knowledgeable with my HVAC system, which happens to be complex, radiant floor heat, connected to my hot water line, connected to my insta-hot water supply, connected to my hot water tank! Then there is the forced hot air, connected to the A/C, 3 zones,.. I needed help understanding everything. He was down to earth professional! Meyer and Depew installed my central air conditioning 2 years ago when I thought I could not have central air. They did a fantastic job and continue to service the air conditioning unit along with my heating unit every year. They are cordial, understanding of emergency situations. George (Juraj) helped us. He was excellent, friendly and very professional. He made sure that our heat, furnace, humidifier, air filters, humidifier filters and all the settings were good. He went beyond to make sure everything was ok & to answer all of my questions. He explained concepts to help me better understand why we were having issues with our humidifier as he was fixing it. He was giving good advice and he was not trying to hard sell anything which is very important for me. He explained to me the life expectancy of furnaces (15 yrs) and mentioned to me that our furnace (16 years) is still good for at least one more season but to have a plan maybe next year just to be safe. He could have easily pushed for us to get a new furnace with them but did not because it was not necessary yet. He also made sure not to leave any dirt in our house before and after the service. I am very, very satisfied with Lauren (receptionist) and Mike the technician.
My only complaint - and it is a very small one - is that I immediately sent in my money for a service contract (furnace/air conditioner) and that day I called to arrange my fall furnace examination and I was told that I could not schedule anything until the money was received. Everybody, up until that point, was so very nice that I was a bit hurt that when I said the contract and money was in the mail, I was not believed. Worst case scenario - I lied about the money being sent in - would it have not been obvious (after all, the fall scheduling does not start for another month)? However, this in no way alters my opinion of M&D and perhaps the receptionist was just "following orders." I look forward to my interactions with these folks - they are very nice and super competent. 09/04/15 |

The experience was wonderful. Michael was a paradigm of patience with my many questions and comments. He was very knowledgeable and courteous and I was very satisfied with the service received. I was not thrilled with his assessment of my dehumidifier - it has to be replaced (not his fault) - but at least I have an honest answer and that is all I wanted. He was also prompt (7:30 am) which is great - I hate waiting around all day for technicians who never come. I am also very pleased with the young lady (Lauren) who took my calls - she was also great. Joe Olson was the tech that came to check out the AC issues I had. First of all, the company sent someone within a day or so despite me not using them before and this was in the busy season. That was great. Second, Joe contacted me when he was close by, was on time and was very courteous during the entire visit. He also gave me an education on the AC system I had and what to look for in the future since I have a pretty old system. While he gave me some options including maybe looking into replacement, he didn't try a hard sell on a new system which I very much appreciated. Answered my questions. Bottom line was he assessed the problem, tested the system for the most reasonable option at that point, and fixed the problem. Very impressed. I'll use these guys again! Joe O. 09/01/15 |
