We had a A/C problem on 05/26/2018. We called the answering service and received a call back within 5 mins.from a Meyer & Depew personal. We were advised we would have to wait for an available Tech.This was at 7:30 AM and was understandable due to the weekend and time. The Tech., Kyle *******, called us at 10:00 AM and was at our house within a half hour. He was professional in his greeting, diagnosed the problem, fixed it and ran the system to make sure all was well. I called Meyer and Depew because are forced air system was no longer operational. They came saw that there was no way to repair, and told us we need a new system, they installed everything in one day, Charles, Frank B, Mike and Mike were great, cleaned up after they were done, showed me how to work the new thermostat, and showed me new system. We've been using Meyer and Depew for a few years. We have a service contract includes a spring servicing of our air conditioning unit and fall servicing of our furnace. If we need any work done, the contract includes a discount. It's well worth the money. The technicians are highly professional, on time, and very thorough. One time we had a problem with our furnace, the technician fixed it, and another problem occurred a few weeks later. We were pleasantly surprised when we were not changed for the second service call. Planned on getting a few estimates to replace our old AC unit. Was so impressed with Meyer & Depew that we decided to go with them without getting additional estimates. Was equally impressed with tech Phil C. and his co-worker Mike M. who were excellent in every way. They went beyond our expectations with their excellent degree of professionalism. They left our home clean and neat to the point where you would have never known they were there working for five hours! They explained all the work they did, pointed out certain things they thought we should know about the installation, thorough explanation of about the features on our newly installed Carrier AC unit, our service contract, normal but important maintenance tips, and answering any/all questions we had. Kyle B was a wonderful young gentleman. On time, courteous, smart, and able to diagnose the problem with my air fan quickly. The last time I had a problem I called another company. They sent a guy with crazy tattoos and long hair. I was so scared. Where did they get this guy? I'm not surprised that I had another problem this year. Not so with Kyle. April 9, 2018: Time for maintenance of two air conditioning units installed by M&D. Juraj (George) inspected both units, changed the air filters, checked the condenser refrigerant levels and amperage, and ensured they were ready for another year's service. As I've come to expect, he was efficient and competent. I'm still very pleased with M&D's customer service.
I chose Meyer & Depew not because they were the cheapest, but because they were the most forthright, and because they offered service contracts on what they installed as well as the equipment that was already installed. M&D just serviced my A/C unit for the upcoming season. Michael F. came in, cleaned the condensation pump and trap, and checked the outside unit for proper refrigerant levels and amperage. Acting on a friend's recommendation, we hired Meyer & Depew to install a new hot water heater and furnace. When the building inspector came, he was extremely complimentary and said he had never seen a more perfect installation. Since then, they have installed a whole house generator and we have service agreements for both heating and air-conditioning. They always respond quickly to our questions or if we need a service call. When Lou came for our Spring service, he was very respectful of my home, removing his shoes. Our furnace died during a the snow storm last week. Meyer and Depew came immediately when we suspected a problem. We decided after considering the age of the unit and it's condition that it was better to replace it. Andre our Meyer and Depew salesman came that night in the dark from power outages to discuss our options. John W, Mike L, Victor and Charles spent two full days at our home replacing our furnace and AC units. All were very professional, knowledgable, courteous and very hard workers. John W also spent a lot of time explaining both units and their operations to me and staying until all my questions were answered. John W from Meyer & Depew installed a new furnance and new central AC unit over the course of two days. He and his partner (Mike M) were great. They were on-time, friendly and courteous the entire time they were there. They kept me apprised of their process, answering questions in detail along the way and never making it seem like I should understand everything about HVAC units. Upon completion, they took time to explain everything to us and fully cleaned up every work area (where other contractors may leave a mess).
