Mr. D**** arrived about 15 minutes after I was notified that he was on his way. He remembered me from previous work on my furnace. He started work immediately and was finished his work with no problems at all. He was very friendly and congenial. I would recommend him and Holbrook Heating anytime. Getting used to fine work by the Holbrook folks. Tim came out today, did routine maintenance on the main house furnace and replaced an old thermostat. I have been using Joe B. from Holbrook for about 5 years except for one I use a local. I must say Joe has always been a five star technician when servicing my home furnaces. I have two systems and I will always have Joe do my work. I have watched him perform compared to the local guy and I must say there is no comparison as far as quality of work. Joe will get down into the weeks of service and not just look and say all is fine. Joe will dismantle and clean and check out all required components of the system. I have physical watched him perform. I will always use Joe as long as he is available. I would also love to have him on the job if I ever had a new system put in. Scott and crew spent a lot of time getting the right system to replace my 50 year old boiler in my 130 year old home. The installers worked diligently the entire time they were here. I recently had, what I considered to be, a rather unique and baffling failure with my oil fired, hot water home heating system. One of my heating zones was sending heat to my master bedroom when the thermostat was shut off and the circulation pump was not operating. I am an engineer and helped install my heating system so I have some knowledge of how it operates. I was convinced that the problem was a failed relay in the furnace master controller panel. Holbrook technician, Eric L. , responded to my phone call for assistance. Together Eric and I discussed and rejected several different possible causes for the system failure. Ultimately, Eric identified and replaced a relatively inexpensive failed 26 year old backflow preventer. A lesser trained and conscientious tech might have replaced parts by trial and error until my problem was corrected at very significant cost to me. From start to end of a new furnace install in my 130 year old house, every Holbrook staff was professional, courteous, and helpful. The estimate and install was on target. Workers were timely and helpful. They all listened and responded to any question I had before, during and after the install. I had to change the configuration of heat in the kitchen, and a new contract was immediately drawn up, with a reduction in my bill that immediately went on my account. I find their technicians to be knowledgeable and thorough in the work they perform. I will continue to use Holbrook Heating for the maintenance of my furnace as well as my air conditioning system. Our hot water tank blew and Holbook was there the next day with a new one. During the process of moving the old water tank, Jason found a few cracks in the furnace and gave us a great deal on a new one before winter set in.
