Jeff has been a pleasure to work with, I feel very lucky that we found Hays and that he has been helping us! We've had bad luck with companies in the past, but have only good things to say about Hays.
Jeff is always on time, I trust his review of our a/c system, and feel that we're in good hands, based on his recommendations. We have a three month old son and (of course! murphy's law) the a/c only ever goes out in July in Phoenix. Jeff was able to help cool down the house quickly even though it was pretty late when we finally called, and then followed up some days later to test for leaks. We purchased a new heat pump/air handler from Hays Cooling & Heating. We would highly recommend Hays Cooling & Heating to any one who is looking for a company that is honest and professional with excellent customer service to look no further than Hays Cooling & Heating. Extremely pleased with the purchase from start to finish!! **** *. works for Hays Cooling & Heating and he came out to give us a quote on a new cooling system. He checked our current system and then gave us quotes based on our needs and financial status. There is no high pressure sales here at all. **** was extremely nice and helpful. As a matter of fact, the original air handler in the attic was never installed properly. The unit was too small and not set up for efficient and proper air flow. We bought our home brand new 15 years ago and we never really understood why you could not feel the air flow from the vents more than it was. **** measured for a proper air handler and we signed the contract. It was the best decision we have ever made regarding our home. Once installed our home is so cool and you can feel the air flow from every vent in our home! After the installation **** came back to check on everything and to make sure we were happy with the purchase and installation. Thank you so very much **** *. I am a Canadian and have a home in Arizona that recently had an issue with the air conditioning unit. When I got word from my house watch lady that my air conditioner was not working I sent an email to Hays service department Monday after work and received a call back from Kara the very next day. I was supper happy that she jumped on the issue so quickly. Kara had even contacted by house watch lady in advance of calling me to confirm a date and time for someone to come and service the unit so everything was arranged and looked after before I got the call. I had to call Hays again because my air condition unit was not working properly. I had them out 2 months ago for a routine check before air conditioning was needed. There was no repair done. I was just told that the unit was old and sounded loud, but all was OK for now. Yesterday I called again and Elliot came to my home about 4:00 and was here until about 7:00. He completely took the outside unit apart and analyzed everything. I needed 3 new parts and he replaced all of them and very carefully checked everything. Mike arrived earlier than planned to troubleshoot why my AC was not cooling. As part of Hay's All -Star Team he diagnosed the problem quickly, replaced the faulty part and had me up and running in about 50 minutes. Mike came to our home, listened to my concerns, went to work on the problem and came to talk about it with me before he even starting fixing the problem. I really appreciate the fact that he explained the problem to me before he started working. He was quick, complete and even made sure he installed a small fix that I would never have known would make all the difference. He mentioned that they have a yearly service plan and what it included which I will be doing. I will be recommending Hays to all my friends and family. We reviewed numerous HVAC companies and chose HAYES. Having been a remodeling contractor in northern Indiana I am familiar with dealing with heating and cooling companies. I am not, however, familiar with cooling systems to deal with Phoenix summers! I was impressed with Hayes and particularly liked Bill the design engineer. We were dealing with a 15 year old system that still worked but was very inefficient and did not cool a couple of rooms on the south side of the house. Bill is very knowledgeable and did a thorough job checking ou the entire house, attic and existing system. He gave us a quote with several options that varied in price and SEER rating. We went with the higher efficiency TRANE unit because we are here year round and operate an internet business out of our home.
Every meeting with Bill and then the installation crew was on time. The installation crew was very skilled and worked like dogs. They started the job at 8:00AM and finished about 3:30PM. They worked straight through without a break or lunch. Luckily it was still reasonably cool when they were here. Being the curious guy that I am I pestered them with comments and questions during the installation. They responded with helpful answers and advice.
We have had the system operating over a month now and it is amazingly quiet both inside and outside the house. We have had neighbors walking up to the outside unit to see if it was operating because it is so quiet. Today the temperature is about 102 and the system control panel (impresive Trane computerized color control panel) shows that the compressor is operating at 31%. and the fan is operating at 40%.

Bill from Hays came by the house to provide a bid on a new heating and cooling system. He spent more than hour taking measurements, examining our current system, doing a load test, etc. He was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough, and his quote was very competitive. If you decide to go with anyone else you are making a big mistake. Hays is totally customer service driven and they can add another satisfied customer !!! The whole team from the owner Chris down to the awesome install team with Rich,Ray,Boom and Bob and organized by Kristi they did a phenomenal job today. However the before the deal and before the install they proved how dedicated they are at making sure the customer is satisfied. Before we signed the contract Bill came out and got one of our 16 year old units back up and running to hold us over till we were ready to purchase and the company did that for free just on our word that we were purchasing two new Trane units. When great customer service is so few and far between these days Hays Cooling and Heating have gone above and beyond to earn our business. They have earned our business for life. Personal References: Rich, Ray, Bob and Boom have been spectacular on the install of our new units. When they found a water leak they fixed it. Very professional, polite and thorough. Coudn't have asked for a better crew :-) :-) :-) Bill, the service man came out and spent a couple of hours finding the problem with our upstairs unit. They fixed it at no charge while we awaited the financing on our new units. Let me say we had signed no papers yet on new units so they trusted that we would be honoring our word on purchasing new units through them. The day our upstairs unit went out, Chris the owner made the call himself as no one else was available. He guided us through the process of picking the right units for us. Again let me state there was two-three weeks between this initial visit before we committed to the purchase. Chris was a hoot, and I appreciate all that he did to earn our business.
