Mike S. visit performed a furnace tuneup - inspected and cleaned parts on the furnace and provided a performance report. He is confident that his work has eliminated the furnace gas smell that my neighbor and noticed outside the furnace exhaust the prior weekend. Mike S. also looked at the insulation wrapped around the gas dryer vent tube. Only the top portion of the tube is now insulated because the bottom portion was removed by Genz Ryan employees when they cleaned the duct two weeks prior. As the utility room is very cold in the winter, I thought the insulation should run the total length of the tube. Mike S. says the drawback is that the temperature gets very hot where the tube connects to the dryer. As the cement block walls are cold, he suggested installing rigid insulation board instead...so, I will look into that option. Mike S. is congenial and has a pleasant personality. I thank him and Colleen, the person I discussed my situation with over the phone. Colleen was pleasant to speak with and she setup the appointment that was needed for the two services. Excellent service rom scheduling to technical support. Specially the installer Jeff Plasch who arrived ahead of time and worked without stopping until 6:30 pm when the installation was complete. He was always attentive and willing to answer any questions I had.

I responded to a Genz-Ryan duct cleaning special emailed to me. I called and spoke with Shelby. Shelby provided excellent service. She setup three appointments for me...the one for the duct cleaning, one for the annual furnace tuneup, and one for the annual plumbing checkup. Joe and Glenn were at my home this morning to clean the house and dryer ducts. They were very thorough in providing a most comprehensive duct cleaning. As a result, my furnace and clothes dryer are sure to perform more efficiently. Gone are the residuals of pet hair, every day dust, and remodeling dust built up through the years. I am so grateful for their excellent service. While other companies may advertise less cost for duct cleaning, I doubt that their results will be as effective as Joe and Glenn provided. What I learned in googling and reading to educate myself about duct cleaning is that a low cost duct cleaning done in a short amount of time does not produce optimum results. Joe L. 10/19/18 |

Great service from Noah F. It was very cold and I had reached the end of my rope with trying to get my boiler type furnace fixed. He was at my house from 8 to midnight and did an excellent job. I had heat and still have heat this morning. I was very pleased with his professionalism and most importantly the work he did. Very knowledge and personable. Would highly recommend Noah and Genz-Ryan.

When does something go wrong with a vital appliance in your home? That's right, late Friday afternoon of course. I had read good things about Genz-Ryan so I called and was impressed with the knowledge and patience I received from the person who took my call. I wish I knew his name to thank him because it certainly helped my anxiety. In less than two hours, David arrived and fixed the problem while giving me a full explanation of the problem. David also pointed out some potential problems that I should be aware of, but there was no hard sell. I requested Matt M. to do my annual water inspection because I appreciate having such a friendly and knowledgeable professional who I can trust. I am especially grateful to Matt for his patience to always thoroughly explain both the problems and possible options for fixing them so that I can make an informed decision that works best for me and my budget. He even went out of his way to make sure that my old water softener was replaced and new one installed & running before all of my out of state guests arrived.
