I've been dealing with Columbus Worthington Air for several years, and I'll certainly stay with them. Over the last decade or so, it's gotten hard to find businesses that do what they should, show up when they say they will, and are trustworthy, but these folks do it right! They come when they're expected, give you a time range to expect them, and call when they're on the way.
Earlier this week, I called to schedule the visit to check the system for summer. They were able to come out that same day (due to some cancellations), and Jamie T. showed up on time (just like they always do). The office called to let me know when he was on the way. He did a great job, explained to me what he was doing and why, and even told me where to find filters on half-price sale!
Over the years, these folks have proven their honesty, too. There have been at least two times when they had the chance to "repair" something that appeared to be the problem, but these guys did it the honest way, every time.

Jamie was polite, professional and very knowledgeable. He could not have been more helpful in explaining about how to run the fan and how little electricity it really uses. Columbus Worthington Air has been a very reliable company to work with. Installed both our Bryant air conditioner and furnace and do the annual inspection and any needed maintenance. Always on schedule. In one emergency we had, they responded immediately by phone and had a tech here in two hours.
Jamie Thompson has been doing the inspections and has proven to be very knowledgeable and when he leaves I know things are in good working order. Jamie takes the time to explain operational issues to give me a better understanding of the heating or cooling system. He works effeciently and is very neat.

We recently had our HVAC system replaced. The team that Columbus Worthington Air sent out was outstanding. Dan and his team completed the work on schedule, cleaned up, and explained the new system to my wife and I. I was impressed how well thought out the installation was compared to the original builder install. Because of Dan and his team. I plan on continuing to use Columbus Worthington Air for maintenance on the system and would recommend anyone get a bid from them if you are considering significant work on your HVAC system. It had been probably a year or two since he had last been at our house, but he remembered being there and was very friendly to us and our dogs. The first service call on March 9 did not resolve the problem(s). The newly installed system continued to fail to respond to thermostat control and the fan failed to ramp down and was running continuously for the remainder of the weekend, with and without burners ignited.
The second technician on March 11 did identify and correct multiple faulty electrical connections including one wire that was disconnected completely. I believe these had to do with the furnace-to-thermostat interface box. Photos and notes were made identifying the connections involved by Jamie T. who was here for about three hours.
Everything has been running perfectly since then. I have to listen really hard to hear any fan sound at all and the house is comfortable at all times. Jamie T. also did an excellent job explaining what the problems were, how they were corrected, and even how to use our electronic thermostat and high efficency Bryant furnace more effectively.
I'm sold on Columbus-Worthington Air and expect to be a long term customer.

Only thing: for the cost of the yearly service plan, you might consider throwing in a new humidifier filter. They are cheap, at least for my system, to get at Lowe's, and your price is pretty high compared to the actual cost. Jamie C. 03/12/13 |
