I had a clogged drain in the upstairs bathroom sink which required repair and replacement of necessary parts which is now working like a new drain which in reality it is. I have Brother's come out annually for a furnace inspection. Zach was on time, clean, polite & courteous and knowledgeable about my older unit. He pointed out some issues to watch for and also gave me an estimate for a replacement, if and when the time comes for a new unit. I really appreciate Zach's professionalism and expertise! Jeff was extremely professional and went above and beyond. I was working through my home warranty company, which is a total nightmare, and Jeff spent a lot of time on the phone with the company trying to make sure I didn't have to pay out of pocket for the repairs. Unfortunately, my home warranty company could not get out of their own way so Jeff was unable to perform the service that I needed on my swamp cooler. I had originally called Brothers to just do a furnace tune up, but it ended up being time to replace both the furnace and water heater (which I had been predicting). The scheduling of the tune up appointment and the replacement appointment were within 24 hours for both cases. I was very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of the technicians that came to replace my furnace and water heater. Jacob, Jose, and David were respectful of my home during the whole time they were here. They removed all the old equipment and installed the new equipment efficiently and in a timely manner. Do not call these guys. I am very disappointed. I called same company twice for telling me absolutely wrong diagnostics, got charged for both visits. They get One star, only for professionalism, being on time, being clean and polite, and trying to answer all question.
However, some answers did not make quite sense, and contradicted technitian’s Chris second visit and Zachary comments from first visit both from Brothers Plumbing, heating, electric. Both technicians knowledge of furnace was medium to low, not very convincing and it turned out to be terrible wrong advices.
The reason for lowest score is due to completely wrong diagnostics and advise. The Brothers plumbing advertise for multi point check of furnace. Some was performed, but when asked if they did all of them, I did not get straight answer, basically, that they identified that I need replace capacitor and pressure switch, which I did and it still did not work. So I called Brothers again mentioning that issue is still ongoing after changing what they recommended. Second technician diagnosed that I need new inducer motor with new pressure switch(I just put new pressure switch in), their quite price $1350 for this repair. If technicians would do all multi check points, and understood how furnace works, they would probably find out the real issue.
Few small leafs in outlet pipe!!! Furnace is now running just like before without an issue. This could be identified by Brothers plumbing, heating, electric at their first visit for $79.
Luckily my coworker former Hvac technician resolved simple issue, with zero new parts to be replace. CUSTOMERS, watch out for rookies, seems like Brothers Plumbing have a lot of them, NOT GOOD company to call out for diagnostics. I made that mistake twice. We had Brothers Plumbing come out to replace a tub valve stem. Buddy Herron was the tech that came and he was very polite and assured us that he was able to resolve our problem. Connor was neat, professional and thorough. During the furnace checkup, He foundmy thermostat was not responding properly and recommended replacing it. Since service was at a rental property under renovation, I agreed to have him do it as my husband is busy and wouldn’t have time to do it soon. My only complaint is the cost of the thermostat itself, as $339 which I’m presuming also includes installation, is a bit rich. Connor said it’s the only digital thermostat they offered. I had Brothers come to give me a quote and fix a leaking toilet. I was shocked with the answer. I was told $465.00 to replace the insides of the tank OR $465.00 to install a new toilet in addition to---- I had to buy the toilet. I paid the service fee of $49.00 and told them no. They are way out of line on the pricing after several calls I made when they left. We have a technician who is coming today for a fraction of the price.
