Peter P. showed up on time, was very informative and talked me through all of the options. Everything is working great now. On a more personal note, he was great with my three year old daughter who desperately wanted to play and show off all of her possessions. I could not believe how quickly and smoothly everything went! Kevin and Justin came to install our new heat pump. They were professional and had a kind demeanor. Dwayne T was our service provider and he trouble-spotted things that I would have been oblivious to. He also went ahead and changed our air filters, and checked then double checked if everything was running well. He didnt smell of smoke when he came, which I noticed others sometimes do. As an owner of an Energy Company (H.E.L.P.), I Called Blue Dot Services for an Oil Furnace Clean, for a customer. All other companies, but Blue Dot wanted HELP to jump through too many hoops for a clean (Ferrel's, etc...). Blue Dot was very reasonable and next day. Matt arrived promptly and began work. I was a little fearful @ first for no vacuum, but he brought this in later. He worked on this old furnace for over 2 hours. It had not been cleaned in 10 years and he did not complain. He even filled one vacuum cleaner with soot and showed me any worn parts. He was more worried about safety then a sale too. I cleaned Oil furnace's for 10 years and I know an excellent tech... From the moment I contacted Blue Dot due to a leaking air conditioner, through to having a technician examine it, having a salesman come out to price out new units, and finally having the new unit installed only 2 days later, my entire experience with Blue Dot has been overwhelmingly positive. The technicians that installed my new unit, Jeff E. and Ryan W., were extremely patient and willing to work late into the night to fix issues and wouldn't leave until both they and I were satisfied that everything was running properly. They informed me that the original unit they were given to install wasn't 100% perfect, so without question, they returned it and got a new one. I can quote them as saying "I wouldn't want that done to me, so I wouldn't do that to you". Kendall R. worked until the problem was resolved. I contacted Blue Dot because I wanted to change my heating/cooling system from oil to a heat pump, and a friend had recommended this company. Their representative, Dan K., assessed the work needed on Sept. 2nd, and arranged for all aspects of the job to be completed, including electric and removal of the old oil tank... all for a great price! Work started the very next day, and was completed the following day. The crew included Jeff E. and Ryan W., and Kevin G. and Justin. They were all polite and friendly, and worked hard both days to get the job done. Because my system was older, I know it wasn't an easy job, but my husband and I were impressed and very pleased with the work done. Before leaving, Jeff took the time to show us how to use the new thermostat and explain the maintenance of the heat pump. Based on my experience, I also now recommend Blue Dot! Thank you all! I couldn't be happier with my experience with Blue Dot. From the first contact with S L.I knew Blue Dot was the outfit I wanted to replace my HVAC equipment. I had talked to 4 other companies.. I was presented with multiple options and ultimately committed to a premium Carrier system. Blue Dot & Kevin found more rebate money for me than any other company. The install started promptly on Friday morning with Don, Ty, and Tom. They were very respectful of my home, laying down drop cloths and wearing shoe booties. Throughout the day, they worked in a fairly well planned orchestrated fashion, each man doing a task and moving to the next. Very professional. I was consulted as to how I wanted a number of details to be done. I appreciate that. They worked a long day and came back Saturday morning, finished the install, showed us how to use the new stat and left us with clean, high quality workmanship. BlueDot Services is the best. I schedule for routine services for my furnace and heat pump. Found out my fairly new and quite expensive units were not surge protected. I verified this information and could not believe this protective device is not code. I am happy that the electronics of this home equipment is now updated and protected for a reasonable cost. My a/c stopped working on a very hot and humid day. The first thng the next morning, Peter P. was at my door and after much checking and head scratching, he finally found the culprit of my troubles.
A small connector outside had corroded on the inside but looked and felt as though it was well connected. Once the situation was identified and fixed, everything was back to normal.

I've been using Blue Dot of Maryland for over 10 years. They have always been helpful and professional. I've had visits from Rich H. who was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Today for my routine service I had the pleasure of having technician Dwayne T. who was also very professional and performed every task thoroughly. What held me back from giving 5 stars was that I got up before 8 for our 8-12 window appointment but due to paperwork issues (it being the first of the month) the technician couldn't get to my house until past 10. I have had to push some plans that I made earlier in order to be here beyond 12 to see him out. Otherwise everything was as good as the company has always been. Recommended. Dwayne T. 09/01/15 |
