I had a wonderful experience with Blue Dot Services of Maryland. All of the employees I interacted with were wonderful - the service technician who came out for the first consultation, the gentleman who discussed the new unit with us and payment options, and the intall technician who did the work of removing our old unit and replacing it with the new unit. They were all very professional, helpful, and skilled at their jobs. The ONLY reason I am awarding the company a 4 instead of a 5 is because we had to reschedule the intial consultation because the first technician was running so far behind. Our appointment was for between 10am-2pm, but at 2pm, the company called to tell me that he wouldn't get to my house until after 6pm. When I said I'd like to reschedule, the next available appointment was four days later. My entire experience with the company AFTER that initial failed first consultation was wonderful!

My air conditioning started to fail, and my old installer was gone, so I searched anew. Blue Dot did so many things right. They came promptly, were respectful of my home and of me, did not make me feel like I didn't know anything, and had the right prices. Dave Strazzire, the "comfort advisor, looked over everything carefully and gave me a thorough estimate. The Service Pro "Dave S." was also very helpful and the installers, Kevin and Will, were professional and finished about 90 minutes sooner than they estimated.

Don and Ty worked tirelessly to complete the installation of a new heat pump. They were very professional and respectful of our home. I don't even think they even got a lunch break that day!b Thank you again....we always call Blue Dot they are honest and dependable!

This is a review of a service call received from "Jason Miller". We called Blue Dot to come service our Air Conditioner, because it was not blowing cold air. When Jason arrived at our house, he inspected our A/C unit, and make all the necessary repairs and inspections. My husband and I would like to thank Jason and Blue Dot for your excellent and professional service; you came through for us just in time, because our house was so hot and humid inside. Lastly, Jason informed us of contacting someone at BlueDot about replacing our cooling unit since it has been over 10 years since we have had the same cooling unit. Keep up the good work and Thank You!!

My air condition went out unexpectedly, and I didn't need a salesperson pressuring me to go beyond my budget in purchasing a new one. I was blessed to get Glenn, an understanding and thoughtful Comfort Adviser. He gave me three options for my A/C purchase. Once I made my selection that I was most comfortable with, Glenn wrote up the sale--without any pressure to buy more. As he was leaving, he said if the heat in the house get to be too much, let him know. He would bring me a window unit until my new air condition is installed. Glenn is a great employee for your business!

Bryant was a considerate, dependable and well-informed Installation Technician. He was committed in getting his job done in timely manner and accurately. It was amazing to see how he worked alone for hours upgrading my existence pipes/structures and installing my new air condition. Bryant finished the installation in the time that was estimated by the Salesperson. He cleaned up, (extremely neat in working) aired the furnace room, shut and locked all doors that were in his working area, and tested the air condition –which it rapidly cooled my house. Bryant went over the installation process with me—giving details on what and how he completed the installation. I was able to clearly understand the work he did and how to care for my new air condition. He is a valued employee to your company and customers.

I was in the market for a new HVAC system, and used Yelp to help me narrow down my list of companies in the Baltimore area. I'm new to the city, so Yelp was vital to my search process. Blue Dot had consistent high ratings. I selected 4 companies to come out and give me an estimate. I live in a 4 story historical condo so there were some challenges: the A/C unit has to go on the roof, the access to the inside Condo furnace room was pull-down stairs, the Heater unit space was limited, etc. etc. Not your normal easy job. Bill, the customer service/sales rep came out and literally spent 2 hours and climbed everywhere - roof, attic, and as a former installer he knew everything and patiently walked me through what they would do, what they needed to do, and where I had some non-code compliance issues that needed to be addressed. He outlined 3 options in terms of A/C and Heater combinations and discussed the features of each very clearly. He talked about the install process and timeline. I've purchased HVAC systems in the past, and I was very impressed. He told me that due to existing wiring to the roof I'd be limited to a single stage/speed unit (i.e. the fan runs at only one speed - high). He did say that he thought they might be able to run a second line - but needed his electrician to take a look. Of my other three contractors, one never showed, one was in and out in 30 minutes and told me only one brand (Airtemp - not a highly rated brand) would fit. The third company rep also was in and out in 30 minutes and his comparable price for a Lennox unit (same brand Blue Dot was proposing) was higher and he missed all of the non-compliance issues that needed to be fixed. I went with Blue Dot and am very happy I did. The install went very well. Ramon and Tony came out and did the install. Ramon was perfect - very knowledgeable, courteous, and even brought in portable AC units so we would be comfortable while they had the AC off during the install. They wore 'booties' and put tarps down to cover the entire work area, and when finished they did a complete cleanup and Ramon patiently walked me through every part of the install- showing me the work that was done, why they did it, what I needed to do under any abnormal circumstances (i.e. water intrusion), and walked me through how to operate the "Edge" thermostat (very impressive thermostat). And - their electrician came out and found a way to run a second wired to the roof so I could utilize the 2-speed feature of our system. We couldn't believe how much quieter the new unit is vs. our old unit, and it works great. And the higher efficiency will save on our utility bills. In summary, the process from start to finish was highly professional, thorough, and their price, while not the lowest, was the best for the high quality Lennox system we selected. I can highly recommend Blue Dot.

After a severe storm, my central ac was out. I should tell you that I have been a customer of Blue Dot for 30 years. I have an unusual system, and Richard H.. is an expert on it - very few of these are around in residential areas. Jamison (the wonderful dispatch manager) dispatched him even though it was 8 p.m. and the roads were flooded. They know of my health issues and really accommodate my needs. Richard is knowledgable and experienced, and I hope he teaches this kind of system o future hires - I will never forget how Blue Dot went above and beyond to help me.

We had Dwayne T come by and he was both very professional and knowledgeable. He had been busy all day and got here at 6:30 pm. But he was very sincere and honest in his assessments. We have a new unit and there were issues with cooling. WE would also like to advise Blue Dot that it would be very considerate if they would monitor and call its clients to advise when the services team will be late. WE had been scheduled for 10 am- 2pm.

Carlos was polite and professional. However, he was a little pushy and "salesy." We became skeptical when he told us that Trane (brand of system we have) was not a good brand in general. We were offended by that comment, as we believe it to be a great brand. We opted to get a second opinon when he told us we would need to replace our system and it would be thousands of dollars. Thankfully we did, because we are able to get our system fixed for less than three times that with another provider. Also, Carlos really pushed us to give this review and it was annoying to find out that you would need to create an account just to do so, which made us stop altogether. What a hassle! Dissapointing, as we have been loyal blue dot customers for a LONG time and have opted to take our business elsewhere.

Zach and his partner (Ryan? sorry not to be sure) also did a good job installing our second unit. My only criticism is that they did not do a thorough clean-up after they finished the installation. Overall I'm quite happy with the job they did, but the clean-up left room for improvement.

6/18/2015 - Shawn and Kyle installed my air conditioning system and replaced the furnace. Their professionalism, from discussing options throughout the day, to being so neat and tidy in my home and outdoors. Upon completion, they identified a problem with one of my copper pipes, they spent an extra hour ensuring the problem was properly fixed. This was after an 8 hour day. Thanks Shawn and Kyle, this morning waking up to a perfectly cool home was amazing!
