A dispute with Macys Department Store caused me to seek help from the Better Business Bureau in trying to get my issue resolved, since I was not successful in communicating with Macys by phone nor correspondence. After contacting BBB I was connected with their BBB Representative. Immediately Tina contacted me, where upon I gave her all the details in this matter, she then contacted Macys. Tina contacted Macys and communicated my concerns. After a period of ten days Tina responded with Macys reply that met my approval. I am truly grateful to BBB speaking on my behalf and helping to bring about a resolution, after I couldn't get anyone to actually hear me. Thanks BBB.

After working with banks for over 60 years, my dealings with a local bank were very unsatisfactory. The bank's activities were downright scandalous. Unable to reach satisfactory resolution of issues, we contacted BBB. The website was easy to follow and after multiple back-and-forth posts to BBB, which forwarded them to the disreputable bank, the bank capitulated and resolved the issues 100% in my favor. The BBB helped me pursue this and the recognition of the status of BBB's reputation, I am sure helped, too. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to BBB.

I had silcox concrete construction do some work for me and Johnny the guy that poured my concrete had my slab out of level and a 3/4 inch higher than the existing slab plus my doors was hung in the air instead of what we discussed two days prior now he is not willing to fix the problem so I’m left with a very shady job

The BBB Cincinnati helped me resolve a dispute with Macy's Inc when we continued to go in circles without resolution. I was linked up with a customer service rep who was able to untangle the mess that often leads consumers frustrated and disillusioned. Thank you BBB Cincinnati!

I’m happy that we have this kind of organization to help consumers have a voice and get the customer service that they deserve. I don't think that they investigated it very thoroughly. I wish that they would have actually tried to order the glasses online and then they would have experienced what I did. But they were very fast and that was good.

I would reccommend BBB they are extremely helpful. My problem is that I do not have access to a computer readily. So my daughter helps me file the complaint. But the answers need to be quicker. I just wish there was a phone number that I would be able to use. They were very helpful with macys They were able to make Macy's understand what my furniture issue was. BBB gets answers for you and they don't leave anything unturned

Good service - prompt and professional. One critique - in the complaint process there is no obvious way for me to update any information, other than sending email directly to the agent handling the case. I did this, and it worked, but maybe this should be feasible through the complaint portal?

I unfortunately had to contact the BBB for help regarding an eBay sale where the vendor was refusing to resolve a problem. Tammy B's response was immediate, and she then straight away elicited a response from the vendor. That response did not resolve the problem, being founded on a falsehood, but that's not the BBB's fault. In parallel I had contacted the CEO of the vending company, and this prompted immediate resolution, but I strongly suspect the result would have been the same through the BBB. The impression I received was that this BBB is an organisation which cares and which operates in a very professional manner.

I was surprised to learn that BBB does not work to identify poor actors in the marketplace, or support consumers. They are, instead, apologists for companies, making it literally impossible (in my case) to have an impossibly poor experience be reflected on a company's profile or in their rating. The BBB is set up only to support businesses, and the more they prey on consumers the less you'll know about it by checking BBB.

I notified BBB in October 2020 about a problem I was having with in Miamisburg, Ohio. I was treated with no respect by a Gerneral Manager of Roto Rooter, Alan Sheplak. I had to put half of the estimated charge down in order for them to start the work. The job involved digging a hole with a backhoe, finding the broken pipe, fixing the pipe, and filling the hole back in with the dirt. Not going into great detail, when they dug the hole they immediately found the problem which stemmed from a previous company using a Boring Machine. Roto Rooter immediately stopped the work and left the hole open and told me it was up to me to resolve it with the previous company. Fortunately for me I had put the deposit on a credit card. When Roto Rooter left after finding the problem I called my credit card and put a StopPay thinking it would not cost the amount charged for only digging a hole. Wrong!! I was contacted by Alan Sheplak who was so rude. He would not listen to me and threaten me with filing a lean on my property. When I ash to speak with his boss, he said he was his boss. My daughter called him and she was treated by the same disrespect. My other daughter said we needed to report this to the BBB of Cincinnati, since that’s where RotoRooters home office is, and also to the Ohio Attorney Generals office, which is what we did. Almost immediately the problem was resolved.. I do not recommend RotoRooter to anyone. I have since been told by another company that they are not an honest company and are known for pice gouging.

BBB is the standard organization we have come to trust when it comes to monitoring interactions between consumers and businesses. I am more than pleased with my results, my claim was handled quickly and efficiently and the communication between parties was excellent. I always received updates on what to do and of the status of my claim, even in the midst of the current pandemic. I placed my trust on BBB to help me solve my problem and they delivered. I absolutely recommend BBB.
