I had a technician here today to do maintenance service on my furnace.His name is Habte, and I found him to be very easy to talk to, he did a thorough job, and answered all my questions - making sure I understood his answers. Very courteous and was making sure I was completely satisfied with the service call - before he left. I hope to have him do the furnace checked again next year. Thank-you. The service technician was on time, felt like it went down hill from there. My wife Judy mentioned that every DIY video recommends you clean or change the thermocouple. After a 25 min diagnostic test. She enquired about the thermocouple, the technician replied it checks out fine. So she asked him to physically check it and it needed a corrosion cleaning which takes 5 min. Then we did a theory check comparing our 1 month old furnace filter to the new one we purchased yesterday and diagnosed that for 10 min! Wasting more time we were being charged for end of call note taking as well which should be done on the tech’s time, not ours. Judy was with the Tech the whole time. No parts needed and was charged for1 hour for a job that should have been completed in 30min. Told by Administration that you pay quarterly so I asked for 15 min to be taken off my bill which we feel was generous on our part, and she replied sorry you feel that way but the bill stands as is. In March 2019 our furnace needed to be replaced. From our initial service call to the finished product the Arpi's team was professional, helpful and courteous to us and their coworkers. Craig gave us a very competitive price and supplied us with space heaters until the work could be done. John and his team worked a long day to ensure we had heat. They took the time to explain what replacing furnaces entailed and what had to be done to meet updated code requirements. We were impressed how smoothly the furnace replacement went and how neat the job site was left. We wanted to upgrade our two furnaces at our Evergreen house and based on a positive experience from a previous furnace replacement at another Calgary property we contacted Craig for an estimate. Craig was very informative and knowledgeable and within a week Arpi's started the replacement.
Alex Fillipow was the lead Arpi's technician and he and his team exceeded our expectations with their professionalism, clean up and knowledge. The installation went without any issues and the quality of work was excellent. Obviously we made an great decision by choosing Arpi's for this second replacement and would recommend them to anyone looking to have similar work completed.

We requested a quote for a new furnace and hot water tank from Apri's and one other company. From quote stage to installation, and service from the front office staff, we could not have been happier. They were fast, the quote was the lowest, installation was done within a few days. The installers were very good, cleaned everything up and there were no problems, at all. The office submitted the requirements for the energy rebate, helped solve problems and answer questions quickly and professionally. Would highly recommend this firm and will continue to call them for any service and annual checks. Thanks so very much.

Kevin the service manager came to our house to confirm the scope of the job and to discuss alternative furnace configurations. I was impressed how well he scoped the work. A few days later John and Cale came to do the install. They left me with a working furnace after one day of work and completed the install of the air conditioner the following day. Hi, I recently had a new furnace installed. All the work was done well and the installers were pleasant to deal with.
I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get an explanation of the unit or how it operates (stage 1, stage 2, fan, etc.).
However, one of the bigger issues that I've noticed is that the furnace emits a very annoying humming or buzzing sound. Kind of like a tuning fork. I hope that is something that can be fixed as this new furnace is currently louder than my previous 30 year old furnace. Julie B. 03/10/19 |

We just had Arpi's install a new high efficiency furnace and water heater in late February. We got quotes from two other companies as well. All three companies were highly professional but the team from Arpi's came out the clear winner in the process. Their price was lower for the supply and install of the furnace and their install crew offered to work on Saturday to get the furnace in. We initially had Ray Fan, their service tech, come out to investigate our furnace failure. He was quick to diagnose the problem and in the case of our 25+ year old mid efficiency Whisper Quiet furnace give advice to replace rather than do an expensive repair on our furnace. Ray then contacted his office to have an estimator come and give us a quote and also concurred with our decision to at the same time to replace our 21+ year old water heater. Kirk Turnbull then came a couple of hours later measured the house, sat down with us and explained thoroughly all our options and the different advantages for each of four furnaces and what the technical differences were. His warm and friendly demeanor along with his no nonsense analysis allowed us to make an informed decision that left us very comfortable with our choice. Kirk had checked to see if he had a crew that could do an earlier install than what they had said they could do. He left three space heaters to carry us over and two days later the furnace was in and our house warm on perhaps the coldest week of February. Our installer Brock McDonald and his assistant were on time, laid down floor protection and did the whole job cleanly, quietly for the most part and were finished within the time frame they had talked of. Brock sat down with us and walked us thru the work he had done, gave us our documentation and took final payment. Shauna then followed up with a phone call to make sure all was right and reminded us of the process to get a city inspector out to complete the process.
Every one, from Arpi's, impressed us with their approach, knowledge, helpfulness and patience working us thru the entire process. They were efficient and highly knowledgeable as well as being nice people. Arpi's has installed every furnace that has gone into our house since the building of it in 1965. The business is fortunate to have the people working for it as they are the face of Arpi's and do the company proud. Their price was lower for exactly the same product and install. My install went very smoothly. The 2 installers were very professional and were finished in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Arpis to anyone considering replacement equipment. I had my first bath in old shallow tub and ran out of hot water. Not good. The old 40 gallon worked and had no lack of hot water. No explaination after install about settings. Not happy as we have new soaker tub being installed in 3 days.

The 2 days went as planned, we are happy with the products and the team that took care of us. The problem was after...week after the roof stack that they said they insulated and sealed was leaking into our basement. A week ago I called Rob and advised. He said he would advise the installers to call us. We are still waiting, with bucket under pipe to catch leaking when weather/sun heats roof. We just need to know what they did so we can fix it. I called Arpi's on a urgent basis to come look at my furnace and within 3 days I had a new furnace installed. The gentlemen that came to install were very efficient and I was very impressed at the care they took cleaning up. We were very satisfied with the quality of the original quote and the detailed explanations provided. The interaction with the installation crew was excellent - they were true professionals. My only concerns were as follows: 1. The replacement of our two furnaces was based on an inspection that apparently showed some cracking in the heat exchanger but when the furnaces were removed, no one seemed interested in actually validating those observations. 2. At a number of points in the planning and install phases I had questions but did not get answers, at least in a timely fashion. I was dealing with the person who gave us the quote so perhaps there was some confusion over who had the ball at Arpi's during the work itself. It is not obvious if the sales person is the project manager. 3. There was some confusion over one aspect of the permitting - the City website seemed to suggest that a specific permit was needed regarding the placement of the AC but it turned out that this was actually part of the electrical inspection. 4. There are rebates for energy efficient furnaces but Arpi's did not advise us that an energy assessment was required prior to installation so that we ended up without this (grantedly modest) source of a refund. Having said all of that, there has been a problem with condensation freezing at the outlet pipes and Arpi's has been prompt in trying to rectify that issue. Arpi's Industries Ltd Team. 02/24/19 |

Thank you to all who came to my home for furnace repair and eventually new furnace.
Leon , the technician who first came to my home, was knowledgeable , skilled and very agile,( climbed right inside the bottom part of the furnace!) in his attempt to diagnose and repair. It was clear that he was going the extra mile to get the heat back on in the house.And he did! He noticed that my humidifier was not on and got it back up and running too- no extra charge. He answered all my questions and didn't try to sway me in my decision to buy a new furnace. I appreciated his honesty.
Seth , a technician and Cale , his helper, came 2 days later, with a new furnace and Carbon monoxide detectors. They were very efficient and friendly.
Kirk , the project manager, went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with the whole process. He noticed that we were missing 2 C02 detectors , and supplied and had them installed for free. He was clear in his explanation of how and when the city inspection needed to happen, post instalment and even sent in the new furnace information to 2 different places , so I could get rebates. He noticed some things that needed to be changed in the ventilation system and included those changes in the price of the new furnace. He was readily available to answer any questions I had. Great installers
I had experienced furnace trouble over the Christmas season which ended with the requirement to purchase a new one. I would begin by saying the estimator, Robert Forseth, presented a great package for our home. The following day, right on time, two installers, Giwan and Eric, arrived and began the day. Giwan did excellent work on the tin smithing and Eric complimented his work with the required piping For installing high efficiency furnaces in older homes. Great job gentlemen and thank you again. David and William called to say they were on their way and arrived promptly. They worked hard until about 5:30 at night with only a short break for lunch. 2 Service people showed up to install the 3 new items, they were very professional, they were always concerned not to make a mess, at the end of 2 days the job was completed above the standard I had expected....they cleaned and vacuumed the areas and I was completely satisfied with the equipment, the service, the install and especially with the installer and his helper....Great Job folks....please let your service people that did the job see this review.
