George from Allen's Plumbing is very professional. I felt that he gave me options to fix my plumbing problem with a reasonable price quote. Giovanni was instrumental in improving our water volume to our 3 houses. He came to do our annual maintenance check and checked the water pressure for the houses. He found it to be 35psi and informed us that it was not correct. He had to check the main meter where he found the problem. We scheduled another day for him to correct the problems. He was very thorough in explaining the problem and what needed to be done. I believe he saved us money when he identified the low water pressure and was able to fix it.

Billy B. was my service technician this morning and he not only cleared the clog in my drain but he educated me on how the pipes at my condo are connected and he even showed me the clean out and explained how clogs happen and what they have to do to unclog the pipes. He was very friendly and professional and I will highly recommend Billy B to all my friends and family and Allens plumbing for all their plumbing needs. Billy is a hard worker and Allens plumbing is really fortunate to have a genuine worker and great person as a valued employee. I had a clogged drain (too much stuff going down the disposal), and I heard Allens Plumbing mentioned on Hawaii Public Radio, so I called them. They were very professional, and always called ahead of time to let me know they were coming. I thought Brandon was very helpful in explaining what was going on. I have had wonderful experiences with Allen's Plumbing. The dispatcher, ******* ** is people friendly, a great communicator, and follows each project through. My first experience with Allen's plumbing was when I noticed that a bathroom water valve had a slow leak. I also wanted to change the toilet. I called Allen's Plumbing. They could provide the toilet and provided me with a very reasonable estimate. My son who volunteered to be present while I was at work had so much praise for the ability and professionalism of the technician that he nagged me to write a review. I later had a leaking pipe in the kitchen. Hoping to save money, I called a plumber who did side jobs. He also recommended changing the faucet and gave some recommendations. In a few months, the pipe was again leaking. I called Allen's on Christmas eve and had a technician repair the problem on 12/26/2013. I shared with him my desire to change the counters and he immediately took measurements and relayed the information. Recently, March 17, 2014, I had the kitchen counter, sink ,and faucet replaced. The job was done very professionally with high end products.. The dispatcher, salesperson, and technicians that I worked with were very honest, professional, and qualified. Allen's Plumbing has and will be my first choice for plumbing needs. I called Allen's the day after Christmas 2013 and a very cheerful and professional technician arrived. The first time I called Allen's Plumbing was such a good experience that I have been back ever since. Well, honestly, I once strayed - tried to save money by calling a plumbing who did side jobs. It was a costly experience.
This last job required the collaborative effort of plumbing and contracting.
Daniel J. , the project salesperson, provided a detailed estimate for replacing the kitchen counter, sink, and faucet. He then coordinated and organized the various specialists and ordered the supplies. The project involved three to four people working individually during the various phases of the job, and with the multiple steps, it is quite impressive that the project was completed in a single day. Daniel J did an incredible job and selected high quality products. I also give kudos to the counter-person, Darren, who did a fantastic job of measuring and seeing the project through.
Brandon A, the technician, made plumbing look easy. He readily answered questions and after removing the faucet shared with me some problems he had experienced with that particular model. He suggested that I replace it. As I had personally purchased the faucet less than 6 mos. earlier(and had it installed with another plumber who had made the recommendation), I was grateful for this new perspective, and I was grateful that Daniel J. had the foresight to order another faucet in advance. I particularly appreciate Brandon's candid honesty tempered with his sensitivity to the customer. And I better understood why changing the faucet would be in my best interest.
Richard J., the dispatcher, is truly professional. He keeps the customer informed, checks on progress, and works with the customer from beginning to completion.
With every project I have had with Allen's, Richard has called to make sure that
scheduling worked, that I had been contacted, and that I was pleased. He was apprised of what was going on, what needed to be done, and listened to any concerns or changes as they arose. He is a great communicator and even called as the "kitchen project" was in progress. He ensured that Brandon, the technician, would be available once installation has been completed. And voila! Richard makes sure that things happen.
I have and will continue to recommend Allen's Plumbing .

Giovanni came 2 times:the first time was to do our annual maintenance check. At that time he checked our water meter pressure and found that we had 35psi. he checked the other 2 houses and found the psi was low. The second time he came he corrected the problem which included changing the pipe connected to the meter and replacing the pressure regulators to the other 2 houses. He was very patient and considerate in explaining the problem and giving us cost estimates before we approved the work. Due to his hard work and explaining to us what he was doing, we have better water pressure in all three houses which is greatly appreciated by the people taking their showers. Giovanni came 1st to do our annual maintenance check. His thorough inspection showed that our water pressure regulator were too low. He found the problem and came back a 2nd time to repair the water line from the meter and replace and install 2 new water regulators for our other cottages. His thoroughness and follow through on what needed to be done will save us money in the future for problems he identified and fixed. Plumbing is Frustration. On two previous occasions expensive plumber's work failed to solve my Waikiki bathroom problem. On 3-6-2014 a kind, caring young lady, at Allens Plumbing compensated for my defective hearing and dispatched the personable plumber, George Manguba who arrived unencumbered by stereotypical mindsets. We received service from the Oahu team and as usual they offered excellent work at reasonable rates. Kainani, Richard, and of course Nick, our star plumber were professional as always. We have called on them for three other service trips: new shower head replacement, leaky toilet, leaking dishwasher, and this last time, upgrading our laundry room faucets. Keoki was great. I can't imagine a more friendly, cheerful, and competent plumber. He explained everything clearly, gave me numerous options, and delivered more than promised with the option I chose. My water heater suddenly stopped working-as it was old. Allen's Plumbing customer service reps were able to guide me through choosing a new water heater. Andrew came up the same day to take out the old one and replace it with an electric, tankless water heater (that should save me $ on my electric bill). This is a very professional organization! After having a relative come to snake our sewer line 3 times in a month, we called Allen's Plumbing to come in to scope the line to determine what was going on. I want to say thank you again to Brandon Ryder for helping our family through a difficult situation. Our building had a main line clog which backed up into our unit. Brandon was here two days in a row and did not leave until the problem was fixed. It turns out that it will be a HUGE project which the building owners will have to resolve. Lucky for us we will be moving out in a few weeks. Brandon was very professional, courteous, and made a horrible situation good again. Plumber came into my home like a gangbuster, overly confident in himself. Asked the customer what had happened and without even looking at the problem told me that it was a problem that involved three other apartments and that I was looking at an at least 1500.00 dollar job. He suggested that I contact my resident manager so that he could arrange the meeting between the 4 condo owners and that our solution was to snake from the rooftop of the apartment building down vertically through my plumbing lines and that we would all share the bill equally. When I told him there was no resident manager on site he then told me there was nothing more he could do and kept reiterating that I needed to get in touch with the other involved condo owners, make them aware of the problem, then proceeded to write up the invoice, told me that they had my credit card on file, asked for my signature, gave me my copy of the invoice then turned around and exited my apartment. Not once did he look at my toilet, even try to age rout the obstruction, or even give me advice as far as letting my upstairs neighbors know not to use the toilet or their showers!!!! He showed no concern for me that I was sweating, trying to scoop water out of the toilet to keep it from overflowing, or to offer any means of encouragement during this highly stressful time I was going thru! I'm a single woman who has no one to turn to when times of crisis arise, so when I call the appropriate agency I expect to at least get some sort of support from them...especially when they're charging me money!!! And that was the least of his concern. He came in wearing a clean, crisp red, white and black shirt and almost blatantly seemed like he was not looking to get his designer shirt dirty! He had a very arrogant attitude! Maybe because I'm a local girl I realize that us locals operate with a sense of Aloha and I could tell right off the bat that he was not from here. I just think that when you move to a part of the country where there is a definite culture difference, you have to make some effort to try to learn their ways and try to fit in... I did not get that from this individual
Believe I've been a nurse at Castle for more than 25 years and I've been confronted with a lot of local families that are very clannish and headstrong...and Im local!!! But I've always been taught that the customer is always right and you just try to meet their needs.
This fellow was so abrupt and so to the point, with no leeway for even trying to help this customer that was in an overwhelming situation, I wax shocked....speechless!!! Then to top it off, for root rooter to come in and fix my problem without involving any other apartments just verifies for me that your worker didn't know what the heck he was talking about!!!....full of hot air!! So the 80.00 charge is unwarranted!! Not only did he not do anything to rectify my problem, his whole assessment was totally off base! Very disappointing!!!
So all in all I think this employee needs to learn a little about how to deal with the local population, learn how to extend himself in his job duties and apply himself to his job duties rather than trying to convince people of his expertise..because that's the way he came across, sorry to say.
My main concern is that my credit card not be charged this fee and if it has been, that I get my money refunded. I would appreciate that you contact me by either phone or e-mail and let me know what your company has decided to do.
Sorry that it had to come to this but I guess it's all a learning process and only growth to come from it

Giovanni DiCosta was fantastic. One call, service in 30 minutes. He was great, and very professional and courteous. He solved the problem quickly ( clogged toilet) and went the extra mile for us. When he found out we had repeated issues with the toilet, he ran a camera and found out the problem was one in the line, not us, and gave great advice on how to prevent the problem in the future.
