Our AC stopped working on a Friday afternoon. Another company came out and told us the parts and labor would be nearly $6,000. And those would be non-warrantied. And it would take two weeks to get the parts and come back out. Two weeks in June/July! We called Air Comfort Service (because we hear them advertised on Dave Glover) and they say we can come give you a second opinion tonight (this is 8pm at night, and I’m speaking to the manager of the company!). He comes out and confirms the same parts need replacement. Also informs us that at this point it’s recommended to buy a system instead because it will be warrantied for 10 years. Sells us a system at 9pm that same night. Tells us install is in 1 week (still better than the other company, but a long way away in 90 degree weather). We get a call Monday morning at 9am telling us they bumped us up to Wednesday for install! Yay! We are overly thrilled and appreciative! By 3pm I get ANOTHER call telling us they bumped us up to Tuesday (TOMORROW) for install! Amazing! Within 5 days (including a weekend) from start to finish we were done with the process. They sent 3 men (Jason, Pete, Scott) and the entire system was installed in less than 8 hours. They kept our house clean, put down blankets everywhere so they didn’t track in dirt to our home, were quiet, and efficient. Our new AC has us back up and cool in less than 3 business days and I am VERY VERY thankful to Air Comfort Service for making us feel like our business was a top priority! They will be our exclusive provider for all cleanings and checks going forward because of their top notch customer service and care and communication! Highly recommend!!! Mike was great during my service. He didn’t try to sell me on things I didn’t need and was very professional. I've had the misfortune in the past 5 years of reaching end of life for HVAC in the two homes I've owned during that period. I went with a friend's recommendation the first time without a lot of research. This time, I did quite a bit research on Google, Angie's List and inquired on the Next Door app. After narrowing it down to and getting bids, I chose these guys. Why? They weren't quite the cheapest, but the difference was nominal and when comparing different brands the apples-to-apples is hard. What set them apart is the customer service and the time they took in answering all my questions and explaining what would help and wouldn't help for our home. That was two years ago and their ongoing service during these past two years has been phenomenal. They have great knowledgeable professionals and the customer service is great. I had my entire heating/cooling system replaced in April. I had been dissatisfied for 15 yrs with the old AC unit. I have spent thousands of $$ on repairs, freon (leak), new air return etc over the years to try to improve it. I have been dissatisfied every time.
Scott was the first heating/cooling associate I met who laid it out in detail with confidence. Why I had the issues, how to resolve it, what my options were, how much it would cost etc. All very professional. He listened to my needs. He understood I was looking for value/quality. He didn't just try to sell me on price. He answered countless questions over a week's period.
I have had the system for 1.5 mo now. It's like living in a new home. It's significantly more quiet (both in- and outside), efficient, and most importantly it cools the house effortlessly even as the temp reaches 90+.
Sure, it was a premium Carrier system. A few thousand more then a generic installation. But the service was great, and I'm confident I purchased quality for years to come. Scott M. 06/03/20 |
