Service agent tried to sell me equipment that I did not need. He left w/out getting my heater working and told me to get an electrician to fix it. My system was installed by ARS and is less than 1 1/2 years old and has broken down twice. The last service person was here less than one month ago I was charged $337.55 and here I am again w/out heat in sub freezing temperatures with a service rep telling me I need to buy a new thermostat and that I need to call an electrician to get my heat on. VERY disappointed! Earl Chesson

I called ARS/Durham after the company I used last year didn’t provide any options to get rid of the occasional bad smell from our HVAC. Alfredo offered up some solutions (although not cheap!) in a very professional and comprehensive manner. He genuinely seems to care about a job well done - and I will continue to request Alfredo for future HVAC work.

Before I retired, I had several men working under me. I am thankful they were all like the last of your men that did some work at my house this week. I always told my men if they did a good job, and if they did a poor job I also told them about that. I, as you,had a good group of men. with this HVAC yearly contract I have switched from Yellow Dot to ARS Rescue Rooter -- with Yellow Dot I felt pressured into continually adding features to my HVAC/heat pump system -- I find that ARS Rescue Rooter does the same, but after many questions & 30 minutes or so of discussion was able to figure out which of the features Alfredo Olivo was selling were urgent -- as far as the actual service Alfredo was great -- to begin with he fixed a GFI curcuit that had tripped off -- he also was very good at educating me about several items broken that required repair, as well as the future of my HVAC (my HVAC uses R-22 refrigerant due to come off the market soon which will mean an entirely new HVAC system in the next few years -- I do wish HVAC repair people these days didn't feel pressured into selling extra features so hard however

Gilberto quickly figured out what was wrong with my new Carrier heating and AC unit. Unfortunately it had not been connected correctly by the installers from ARS and as soon as the weather turned cold would not get above 63 degrees in the house. Gilberto (who was not the installer) fixed it immediately and so far so good.

Our furnace unexpectedly decided not to work on one of the colder nights in Durham NC. Josh was at our property within 30 minutes and was able to alleviate the problem. In addition, Josh gave us advice on the current state of our furnace and recommended we replace it. Josh was very professional and personable.

We have used ARS for 10 years of annual inspections and service, and have had excellent service over that period of time. The last time was 10/30/2017. In particular I would like to acknowledge Josh Baker as a very experienced technician that provides expert advice and service, and that clearly states what repairs you can safely delay, and what really needs to be done immediately. Thank you Josh!

Christian was very polite and efficient in performing our Fall HVAC service. my only comment is that with every ARS service visit, there is another "needed device" to kill the mold, usually costing several hundred dollars. I think ARS does a fine job of keeping our HVAC units running well but I don't want to have the technician try to sell me something at every visit. I have mentioned this several times without success in stopping it.

Service technician was very polite, but seemed more focused on selling me peripheral accessories for my heating system than making sure it was in good shape for the winter. I am a long-time customer of ARS, but feel that their service has deteriorated in recent years. I am considering finding a new HVAC company.

Worst company ever! It has been 6 days since we requested the equipment they installed 3 yrs ago be repaired. The equipment has failed already and is leaking into my master bedroom, ruining the ceiling. It is literally dripping from the ceiling. They said the E-Coil failed causing condensation to drip. Condensation??? So much condensation it leaks through the ceiling? The manager said he would email me their “fair” repair estimate since the 10 yr warranty will only cover the parts, that was 2 days ago. ARS was referred by Home Depot, I will be speaking with Home Depot about the inferior company they have recommended. DO NOT USE.

Company installed in unit approximately three years ago. The E-Coil went out an The company has so far refused to honor their ten year warranty. They state that since we did not have maintenance done that they would not honor the 10 year agreement. They never informed us about the maintenance agreement requirement for the day allow us to opt in to the maintenance agreement. Communication is horrible. I was supposed to receive a call from the manager yesterday by close of business I'm still waiting. I was supposed to receive an answer to two questions from Jackie Love this morning and I'm still waiting. The question was simply show us in the agreement where we were presented the maintenance agreement option and we declined and show us where in the agreement it states what happens if we elect to decline the maintenance agreement.

Richard was amazing - thorough, professional, detailed. He explained many options to me to help my understand the several different heating systems in my home, was very clear about repair and replacements options, was not pushy trying to just sell me products. He offered to come back to do the additional servicing with no service charge so that we would have time to think about the options and carefully consider our decisions. Outstanding HVAC expert. Highly recommend him!

ARS has been providing maintenance service for my HVAC unit for the past 8 years, and I have had at least 6-8 different service technicians come to inspect and maintain the unit; each one has shown to be technically competent and personable, offering clear explanations when certain parts needed to be replaced
