Josh Baker did an exceptional job in inspecting and servicing our HVAC system, identifying critical problems, providing viable options, and clearly explaining how and why the problems were occurring in our Energy Star home. He gave us sufficient time to decide which options we elected to pursue, returned the next day, and installed new subsystems quickly and efficiently. He really earned our trust!

Original appt was disappointing because we were given one choice to fix our problem. Follow up phone call, appointment, and work done very well. They provided a much more inexpensive option to see if it fixed our problem.

We have been customers of ARS for a very long time. I must say that Josh Baker is the very best service oriented person we have ever know, bar none. No matter how large or small the problem, he is very efficient in correcting it and most of all, very honest about what is really needed and what can wait a bit. We feel very fortunate to have had him for our technician and will continue to deal with ARS as long as Josh is there.

Was referred by Home Depot to your company scheduled you for August 17 at 6 PM The receptionist called said they overbooked so we scheduled for Friday 18 at 6 PM then received a phone call on Friday morning having to cancel the appointment due to an emergency just didn't get warm fuzzies not gonna use the company

First, tech never showed up. I called and was told he just left. Turned out that was a lie. Noone was sent and noone ever showed up so I had to call; we scheduled for next day. Tech lied to me and said I had a broken valve. It turned out valve was fine. Problem was his equipment didn't fit on mine since ARS is not equipped to fix LG brand ductless AC's. They should never have sent someone out in the 1st place since I specified LG on my call! He never even opened the cover to check the AC, but yet he said I had a leak. When I complained to manager, she was attentive and said she would do research and promised to call back that same day. She never called! I called her the next day and she didn't remember me or my problem at all. I was happy to get my check back. It was the most pathetic service I have ever gotten!! I think I will get in touch with Home Depot and let me know.

When the appointment was scheduled, I was under the impression that I had paid for a service appt on my heat system. I was informed that he was here to inspect the system, not clean or do anything else. I guess I will take my business somewhere that gives me better service for my money.

A/C went out over night Fri/Sat. I called first thing in the morning and our technician was at our house by 11:30am. Jose was professional and efficient. We discussed the system, he diagnosed and repaired the unit. Ended up being a simple fix but that doesn't take away from the service. One complaint and suggestion for ARS: We had routine service within two weeks of this event. During that service, the technician (don't know name) performed the basic service but was not familiar with our account or history of service. This unit was installed by ARS in 2012, we had the under house filter installed (and later the air scrubber). With the under house filter, we are supposed to use only the cheap filters in the registers so we don't over stress the blower. This tech recommended the filters be changed and found left over high filtration filters in the garage (my wife didn't know) and installed those. Don't know if that directly resulted in the unit failing but we think ARS and the technician should be familiar with the account that they are making the call to, especially when it is PM call for a long time customer. I suggest that the technician be provided with the account history for the calls they go on so they will already know the make/model/unit type, any installed add-ons, and the service history. In this case, the tech should have known that we have the big filter under the house and should have checked it (Jose checked and replaced on the Saturday call). He should have also known that they were the wrong register filters. All in all we are happy with ARS A/C service and have been service plan customers for more than 10 years.

I have been quite frustrated with your work re my AC,. Promises made were never kept. I do appreciate the effort by the supervisor to speed up the process, but I cannot say that the technicians were upfront about what needed to be done and how their temporary fixes would work. I have been quite inconvenienced by this shoddy treatment/work. I have had to endure a very hot house even when techs have assured me that the fix would work. This has been a very trying situation for me. I am not sure that I want to continue with this company and I cannot say that I will recommend them.

ARS / Rescue Rooter of Durham has taken care of my HVAC system for years. They do a great job and take the time to explain the repairs that are needed. Mike Anderson from ARS recently replaced my old thermostat that was no longer keeping accurate temperature. He recommended the Nest thermostat, and it has been fabulous! I have always been happy with the service from ARS and have recommended ARS to friends and neighbors.
