Michael Sweeney can service my HVAC system any time. We had one of those problems (a coolant leak) that can be difficult to repair. But Michael was relentless and unstoppable in his pursuit of a solution. He always kept us informed about options he was choosing and why. That is a great comfort to the customer.
Once the leak was found and fixed, he also replaced a wire near the compressor unit that had melted insulation and would have caused a problem in the future. when Michael got through tuning and balancing the pressure, our heat pump was putting out more heat than it did when it was new. Michael was very professional and very personable. You should be glad to have him. He is a definite asset to A1 Air.

A/C works fine. Heat pump works fine. Issue is the heating coil stinks to high heaven every time it comes on. They have sent 3 different techs to look at it but none have done anything to fix the problem. This comapny sures talks the talk but they fail horribly when it come to walking the walk. So glad winter is over so I don't have t o smell the stinking heater for several months. Sure will not be going back to them when it comes time to repalce this unit. 03/10/21 |

Best service ever! I feel like I now have a new unit that will last. We were suppose to get our 99 dollar service call back after we purchased a new unit but have not yet. One other thing that the company could do is make sure that the writing on the forms actually goes through the carbon, that way we know what's actually written on them. Thank you all very much for helping us meet our needs.

I've been a customer of A#1 since replacing my HVAC 5 years ago and have faithfully had routine maintenance twice per year since. My fall service was done in December (hard to get it scheduled with my crazy work schedule). After a very thorough evaluation, the technician had suggestions that would improve the comfort of the house, and improve air quality. One of the work items that I had done was to replace my attic insulation. It was not cheap and my hope was to see a difference in heating cost. After an extended power outage (40 hours with an exterior temperature as low as 8 degrees), I can vouch for a more valuable benefit. When the power came back, my house was 45 degrees. Many of my neighbors said their homes were in the 30s. I think the improved insulation kept my house, my pipes safer. The process for all the work done involved multiple crews over several days but they were all professional, cleaned up after the work and make sure I knew when they'd be back to finish. Whats going on? I'll be upfront with you and let you know my plumbers are booked up until mid to late march due to all the calls we're recieving with busted water lines and such. This is the busiest I've seen them!

They come to see why my heater wasn’t working! Told me it would cost $2000 to get it back working. My family has been in the cold using space heaters since 12/31. I purchased a new unit in 2020. it took the first 6 months to get the system running like it is supposed to. been running great after everything was adjusted correctly with a different person every time. today 1/29/2021 I get my maintenance check. low a behold the outside unit will not turn on to heat my house. The switch outside was turned off and the fan motor is hot. I call the number to get someone out here and of course it will take 24 hours for them to send someone to fix a problem which they have caused. I was told, the service fee will be waved because I can tell you are frustrated. What fee waved? there should be no fee. your people caused it to fail! it took so many different technicians at different times that found something to fix every time so my system would work correctly. this has been the worst experience I have ever had with a company in my live. Duct connected to package unit needed replacing right away as the duct had separated from unit and broke apart.

But he is not the problem, the issue I have is the cost to fix my heater, a $10.00 flame sensor, and was charged $250.00 for it plus $39.00 dispatch fee.

I called A1 Air on Christmas Eve because my system wouldn’t heat. They got me on the schedule for a repair the same day because I’m a member of their service plan. The Tech, Logan, worked on my system for an hour and then said it was working. There was no charge either for the work or the service call. I called A#1 to correct a DYI installation of a smart thermostat issue. My heating system is ancient and did not have a common wire. The technician, Chase, arrived by the predicted time wearing his mask and booties. After a thorough inspection of the system, he informed me that my dinosaur of a heater might not work with the wifi thermostat.
After trying on his own for a little bit, he phoned a friend. Dane cam by and helped get us up and going!
Chase and Dane's professionalism and effort to solve my issue created a superior customer service experience. I have A#1's number saved for my future AC/Heating & electrical needs.

Sam A and Jamal came to my house and serviced my A/C unit on 11-24-2020. I personally requested hi to do my maintenance because he's been doing an excellent job on my system on precious visits. He also installed the Green Air UV Light as we previously discussed when he did the Spring maintenance.. He completed his job efficiently and professionally. I certainly would want Sam A to continue doing my service. A#1 Air staff also were kind enough to keep me informed on Sam's and Jamal's schedule of arrival. While chatting, I had never thought to professionally clean out my dryer vent and I am glad Jamal educated me on the importance of doing so. Short: They are professional, relatable, and understanding of what I was going through and what I needed.
Long: I am a new home owner and in the second year of being in our house, the HVAC system stopped working. We called another company first, but my wife and I felt uncomfortable with the approach and answers we were being given. I didn't know what we wanted. I didn't know what the terms meant. I certainly didn't want to be overcharged or cut corners. I had a crisis of confidence. Not after I called A#1 Air. Nick and Paul put me at ease by carefully explaining the process, the parts, and the value. By the time we agreed on the next steps, I felt better informed and that these two men were on my side making sure my family and I were set up – not just by the end of the project but for the future in our home.
