It is the worse service I have ever encounter in my 45 years of construction services in both public and private domain. The technician came and gave a quote for repair without even looking at the electrical junction box where the problem is in the attic. Sight unseen he gave a quote of almost $500. and with further indication that additional money will be charged after reviewing or diagnosing the electrical problem besides the $39 service charge that is due. On the company's employees listed website, the name of the technician is not listed. This is nothing but a rip-off by the service provider. Consumers are entitle to quality diagnosis before a quote is given. The quote must be and should be commensurate to the repair needed to be done. My Customer Review of A#1 Air, Inc today 08/30/2021 is terrible service provision and zero delivery with the intention never to call for their service again. Poor customer experience with rude condescending remarks from the attending technician asking me to call someone else to do the job wishing me luck. Terrible service and absurd price gouging. Called at 9:30pm spoke with a great customer service rep she said she would call me with the info on who would be serving our account.
Within 10 minutes she told me the service technician would be to my location within the hour. The door bell rang at 11pm he immediately went to the thermostat then the attic. Corrected a switch issue on the door, checked the drainage and had us with AC in less than 20 minute.

My 4 year old AC stopped blowing cold air... I called and told them I am a disabled, elderly person with health issues and limited budget needing help. Yes, they came and spent almost 15 minutes looking in my ac, seeing a frog or gecko tripped the breaker, so I reset my breaker and it was fixed... to the tune of $230.00!!! I was unable to get necessary meds, and anything else for nearly 3 weeks... but my AC is working. My opinion is poor value and lack of compassion, especially in these days, for amount of money spent. I am very impressed with Chris and Melvin and their service today. They are very professional, polite, and explain everything they do. And they clean up perfect when they are through. I would highly recommend them and the company to everyone.

I have used A #1 Air for a decade for all my HVAC, Electrical & Plumbing needs. Over the years they have replaced a water heater, a toilet, installed a whole house surge protector & maintained & made small repairs on my heat pump. This time around, Chase, my HVAC Tech said a repair on my old heat pump probably would not last very long. He presented several options with corresponding prices & I chose one that best suited my needs. He did NOT try to sell me a bigger or more expensive heat pump than I needed to cool/heat a house with my square footage. The next morning, Installation Techs Hector, Frank & Arturo showed up at 8:45 with my new units. They laid tarps down on my floor and started taking out my old indoor & outdoor units and began installing the new ones. Despite the extreme heat of a Texas summer, they worked diligently and professionally and by 2:00ish, I was getting cool air in my house once again. Hector showed me where/how to change the air filter & how to use the new thermostat. Everything was cleaned up & hailed away, leaving me with my brand new Trane heat pump humming away cooling my house. I have never failed to be impressed by the knowledge, kindness and professionalism of each & every A #1 Air Tech that I’ve dealt with. I have never been disappointed with the jobs they’ve done.

This guy Sam came with the intention to make me have to get a new Air Conditioning Unit regardless of my old unit condition. He gave me the impression early on & kept elaborating on the fact that my AC Unit It was too old even before he got on my roof to look at it where it was placed on a slab of concrete. Point blank, he didn't try to replace anything or add any Freon & kept saying he couldn't get a signal from his testing. I told him exactly where it was located, but He started going jacking around with things he had no business touching & didn't respond when I was calling his name asking his whereabouts up there. To add insult to my intelligence he looked all around my place & asked how long Have I been living there? Then once outside, he started asking me about my Jeep payments & BMW & telling me what I can afford? I will keep it professional on this write-up, but it was all about the 8- 15k company AC Unit he was trying to get me to purchase & undermine my thinking. I am 54 years old & I worked hard all my life. I don't need some technician coming out to evaluate my living conditions. All I wanted was good Honest service whether my cooling system could be fixed or not. It would save me time which is money, from calling another company for a second opinion which I'm doing. If this system has to be replaced, I'll look at my buying options & do it with a more professional company who has the customer best interest like it was his their family member. Sam A. 08/06/21 |

Starting with the sales rep Victoria and Juan the installer to date I would say the service has been excellent. We had AC on the downstairs unit this past evening. Juan is to install in upstairs unit this Monday (7/26/21) and I expect the same excellent results. Tom
The install team consisting of Juan and Canyon finished the job yesterday the 26th and we are very pleased. These two work as a great TEAM. As noted previously excellent quality. A1 Air was easy to do business with. They did what they said they were going to do (take out my old HVAC system and install a complete new system) and the install team arrived on time. The team, lead by Paul Ortega and his assistant Ron, were professional, polite and courteous. I was away on vacation, so my wife was the only one home during the entire install. Marcus our technician was very helpful and courteous with handling our electrical box. Marcus was also very knowledgable and helpful in explaining what the problem was. Everyone in the house including myself liked him and he is very neat for he even swept up the debris leftover from installing electrical box and surge protector. Josh was very personable. He made sure to wear a covering on his shoes to avoid soiling my carpet. He thoroughly checked my a/c unit to determine if there were any issued with the unit. Air Masters installed two new AC units in my house at the end of Feb., 2021. They provided excellent service, were so professional and courteous. The installers were very prompt, courteous and efficient. They installed both units the same day. They cleaned up so well, you would never know they had been here. Both Lennox units are running well. I would NOT recommend this company. They use hard sell tactics, were unprofessional and the work was not satisfactory at all. It also took a month to get an appt. which they canceled the day of and pushed out another week. Had to find another company to come out and check the AC system. To have your Memorial Day Weekend start off with a dead A/C unit is not a great start. After finding out that my 10 yr old unit needed a new compressor, the choice had to be made just replace the unit or change out the system. Seeing that I had already replaced the fan motor, put freon in it, now the compressor, I made the decision to just replace the system. I called several dealers, and a couple came out and said it would be Tuesday before they could get me any information. I did research and got an idea on what I would be looking at. I called A#1 Air on Saturday, and they scheduled Kurt Kellum to come out. Kurt was very knowledgeable and was very helpful in answering questions about the different systems. It was a big purchase decision but in the end, I felt I received a great unit for a fair price, and it will be installed on Monday, Memorial Day......It been a long humid weekend and I can't wait for Monday to get here....but I want to thank A#1 Air and Kurt for taking care of my A/C problem, and I look forward to working with the A#1 Air for years to come............Thank You Charles R. Unfortunately they did not even attempt to contact Oncor for our rebate and we did not receive the (up to) $2800 that we could have benefited from on our purchase.
