This was my first time working with A#1. My first impression was that they are very respectful of your time when scheduling, arrived on time for appointments, and communicated well in letting you know they were on the way. I worked first with Quincy who came and inspected our old system and he really spent time with me explaining what needed updating and changing. After taking a few days with discuss with my husband, I was able to call Quincy directly and he was able to come out out that morning, take measurements, and walk me thru the installation phase. Later that same day, Frank P. and Robert came out to do my installation. They were clean, respectful, efficient, and walked me thru all their work. Samantha was very knowledgeable, professional and eager to keep us informed about her findings during her most recent inspection of our A/C system. Very low sales pressure but high on explaining the couple of minor issues we had so we felt Very comfortable having her address them. So many times with other companies one gets the feeling these annual check ups are nothing more than a sales call opportunity for add ones one does not necessarily need. This was the second time I tried use your services. The first time you had a lazy salesman that wanted to sell me something to replace my a/c system and now today after waiting for over 4 hours I had to call to find out status to be informed it would be another 4 hours. Got 4 bids from various AC companies. Ended up going with A#1 Air. They provided fast efficient service and their techs were awesome. Our job was not easy as it was a very small space, but A#1 Air was sure to double and triple check everything to make sure we had no hassles from the initial estimate, permit pulling and city approval to the actual cost. Be sure to request Tito and Julio if you need a new system installed. Overall, if you are wondering which company is right for your HVAC job, choose A#1 and you’ll be happy you did. This review is not about Frank, he was wonderful. I needed a city inspection after the work was completed. It was scheduled & the inspector showed up but his order did not have my name, phone number or condo number or gate code so he left. I took off an entire day without pay waiting for the inspection. The next day it was scheduled directly with the inspector, he had ALL my information because I contacted the city and gave it to them. The inspector told me he would be out before 10am. I called him at 10am when he was not here and he said he never heard from the mechanical engineer to get it scheduled. I called A1 Air back to schedule it again and was offered another week to wait AND I would need to take off a 3rd day without pay to wait all day for the inspector AGAIN. I am so dissatisfied with A1 Air post installation process. The installers were great and I definitely recommend them. All staff on the phone were polite but the process is very very inconvenient. Not only did I have to pay several thousand dollars for my new unit but I am still losing money because of all the days I am missing from work because of the inspection. 06/11/20 |

From the first contact using their website through the cleanup and removal of everything from our full two-system replacement, A#1Air delivered as promised. Sales Estimator Steve B. was professional, educated, and sincere when helping us to determine the best systems for our needs. Steve was not pushy, didn’t seem to be driven to lead us to the most expensive system and even encouraged us to consider not outspending for our estimated remaining time of owning this house. We did have a previous quote from another company in-hand and we reviewed that with Steve as well. We decided to go with A#1 based on the quote and professionalism shown throughout.
The next day was install day and after the courtesy call notifying us that they were on their way, Miguel E. and Wilbur J. were at the house promptly by 8:30 AM.
They worked through a difficult spot to ensure our downstairs air handler got to its destination safely and even had to disassemble and reassemble it just to get it in there (previous owners installed some cabinets that slightly impeded ability to take it up there in one piece).
They worked to ensure everything was just right and cleaned up everything like they were never there!

A big thank you to Lucas for getting a technician to our house today when our AC went out last night. We were so happy to see Clint S. this afternoon. He diagnosed the problem and had our AC working in no time. Clint is very professional and we enjoyed our conversation with him and learning about our AC system. And finally a shout out to the gentleman who came out to our house two years ago at 12am when our old system froze over. A#1 replaced our a/c furnace in July 2010 and up to now great service. Called them June 6 for A/C problem no cooling and still no one called or came out. This is lousy customer service when you call and they put you on a list and no one calls and comes out. I resorted to my Repair service E/M Home Repair and they were out in less than an hour.
