Frank with Sunshine Plumbing was great. He was very pleasant and courteous. He was here for boiler inspection and maintenance. This was done quietly and efficiently. Before starting he took the time to show/tell us the process. After the initial inspection he throughly explained what should be done now and what could wait but needed to be watched. All without pressure. After the agreed upon work he showed us everything he had done and what to watch for. All questions were answered without feeling rushed and resultant services/products were presented again without pressure just suggestions. Sunshine is terrific, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a technician in their covered areas. Today was to fix a non-working garbage disposal and James looked at it, saw that it was just disconnected [from the dishwasher installation a month ago], but still checked out any clogs and other possibilities, then letting it run for a few minutes to make sure it was okay before declaring mission accomplished. And because I have a yearly membership [very inexpensive], there was no charge at all. Sunshine was also here last month to clean the furnace and did a great job at a reasonable cost. William Frew the owner of Sunshine Plumbing came to our home to provide an estimate for plumbing the house for gas to accommodate a new cooktop, gas dryer and a gas source out to the backyard for a grill. He was professional and confident. He was the only technician who suggested plumbing straight from the gas meter outside the house, rather than coming in from existing gas lines within the house. He clarified that this would assure us of not maxing out the BTU's needed. We just purchased our home and learned that we have a small boiler-type heating unit called a "Munchkin" that heats the basement. He let us know that this unit is no longer being made and stressed the importance of caring for it well! He said the parts are expensive and the replacement cost is quite significant! He offered a reasonable club membership to Sunshine Plumbing which will reduce the cost of the gas line installation as well as a cost effective service to maintenance not only the Munchkin, but also the other plumbing, heating and air needs of our new home. Roberto was our service tech and he put in exceptional effort to address a furnace issue after it was installed improperly by another company. I was in panic mode after getting an very high quote to replace my boiler and called Sunshine after being recommended to them. William came right out and took the time to talk with me like a person in terms that I could understand :) They scheduled the job around my timeframe and Frank/Brett were very clean and fun to have around! They even loved on my dogs and didn't mind if they supervised. The job took over a week which was expected and the communication from Frank and Dani at the office was clear and timely. They take a lot of pride in their work and they really should because the work is very meticulous.

I purchased a furnace tune-up for the winter, and he told me about a couple things that would either eventually need replacing, or the addition or which would improve comfort in my home. Paul was trustworthy, has been in the business a long time and really knew his stuff. I wasn’t ready to make the repairs to the furnace because nothing was urgent, but I trusted his assessment and hope that when the time to repair comes, he will be the one to do it!! Jeff did a thorough search under the sink, the dishwasher and then checked the water pressure. None of these things were done by King Rooter before. He explained that they don't do any work on appliances but he recommended I remove the dishwasher and have it replaced as it is still under warranty. He took photos showing that nothing was leaking at that time. Jeff was professional, punctual, and clean. He put booties on upon entering my house. He answered all my questions. Jeff came to install a new frost free outdoor faucet for us, but after the initial examination, he determined that the bolt on the faucet only needed to be tightened. Wonderful. I called the business at around 2:30 in the afternoon and had two servicemen at the house by 4. They explained the likely problem and were accurate about the two possible price points. The pipes were "snaked" and when it was clear that the blockage required removal of a faulty disposal, they replaced it. I neglected to ask for the Angies List discount before the service tech ran my payment, but he told me to call the office in the morning to request a credit and the office manager agreed to apply the 5% discount after the fact.
