Kou continues to live up to his on line reputation. He came out on Presidents Day to solve my furnace problems. He talked to me. He listened to me. He spent time with my furnace and came up with three different options to solve my furnace issues. He took the time to explain how each option would help me and for how long. although these folks are very overpriced, they do good work. Jeremy P was the man that did our work, he has no real say in what they charge. But you must understand that you only get what you pay for. He not only fixed the leaks, he showed up with a bunch of Ratt lps, made us some killer omelets, shoveled our walk and apparently shops at that duluth place, cause there were absolutely no bare cracks. Special thanks to Jason who helped solve our problems resulting from a frozen and burst pipe. After repairing the pipe all zones were filled with air. Jason did a great job in getting everything back to working order and restoring heat to our home. He was pleasant and professional. If I need help in the future I will ask for Jason again. A big thank you to Karl D. at Minneapolis st.Paul Plumbing and Heating. We woke up to water leaking from a ceiling. Long story short, someone left one of the basement storage room doors open on one of the coldest nights of the year!!! Ten burst pipes in a freezing room with LOTS of stored deck furniture, bikes ect. in the way. Karl arrived, friendly, competent, fast and almost gymnastic like in his ability to get to those pipes. He worked for hours in that cold and never complained and did a great job. We will call again, hopefully not with frozen pipes. Bad situation but great service. My experience started with courtesy from my first call with Lucia. She set up the appointment quickly and within 30 minutes Jeremy was at my front door. After spending a whole day trying to clear a clogged drain and getting nowhere, I called MplsStPaul Plumbing and Heating. It was a weekend and a human being picked up the phone. I forget her name but she was polite, understood my problem and set up an appointment for the next morning. Nick arrived right on time, assessed the situation and went to work fixing it. Overpriced! While Kou was very helpful, courteous and prompt, the fact that we paid $882 for a new induction motor (that retails for between $150-$175) and less than an hour of work is absurd. Best for scheduling appointments - able to get an appointment for the next day when calling late afternoon. Bruce came out to fix a fairly severe plumbing problem. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, provided options, explained pricing and provided an estimate. Once given the approval, he worked very quickly and cleanly....which is difficult to do when fixing waste pipe issues! This was not an easy repair but he handled it all with courtesy and good humor and took the time to explain things to me whenever asked. I had a free Furnace tune up from purchasing a central AC unit from Mpsl/St. Paul Plumbing and Heating. I decided to get it done now since winter is here. Kou Yang, the technician, came and did an excellent job! He really thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and tested everything. He was in no rush and didn't leave any detail out. Kou has been very helpful and diligent by solving 2 heating problems for me. We had a no heat situation resolved by replacing a deficient vent damper. I enrolled in the service partner with his help. His subsequent boiler tune up service fixed an air in the water line problem which was causing popping sounds in boiler when heat came on. This was the first time I ve used this company for a furnace tune-up. They were extremely courteous and I received a call from the office when the technician was on his way. Chad did the work: he was very customer friendly, thorough, on time, efficient. I was a little surprised when I saw that he didn't clean up, really. Maybe that isn't part of the job. Also, I noticed a small hole poked in the basement door as well as a threshold strip torn out at the top of the stairs which Chad and I looked at and thought would be easy glue back, but wasn't and isn't. Very happy with the quality of the technicians and their work top notch. The appointment scheduling and fulfillment process seems prone to carelessness and confusion, so I lower my rating due to the difficulties we had getting techs out to our house at the scheduled times and the lack of follow thru when they called us on the wrong numbers. My experience was different than the reviewers above. The technician that came to my home (Kou) did a great job servicing my furnace and helping me to understand other areas of maintenance that I needed to attend to.
