You know, we had our air conditioner go out about 7 months ago, and I shopped around quite a few places to figure out who to call. Genz Ryan was a great mix between technician and consultant - their sales process was polished, and they definitely covered all the options I'd have from basic to full replace. The pricing isn't hte cheapest, nor was it the most expsensive. We ended up replacing our AC and they did it excellently. Everything was on time, finished cleanly and I wouldn't change anything about it. I highly recommend these guys. We were out in Elko Mn.

First of all let me tell you that I will never use your company again. If you train your plumbers to treat customers the way this guy did I do not understand why you are still in business. I called because I had a toilet in my recently finished basement that had a washer that would come loose and would not allow the tank to refill after flushing. Your man took a look at it and the first words out of his mouth were "are you willing to pay over $200 for the repair because if not we will be wasting our time here." At that point I thought that perhaps I was wrong that that some serious repairs were needed. In retrospect, I know that he already knew that all that was needed was a new rubber washer. He then spent the next 15 minutes typing in options on his ipad that were totally unnecessary and a waste of time. This toilet is only 3 years old and hardly used because we have 3 bathrooms upstairs. Option 1 - buy a new toilet. I suppose you have your plumbers push that so that some unsuspecting customer will spend hundreds of dollars for new even when your plumber knows that all that is needed is a new rubber washer. Option 2 - replace the guts of the toilet at approximately $500. Again he knew this was not needed. Option 3 - The so called band aide with no warranty at a cost of $260. I chose the band aide. He went to his truck and returned only with a washer. I went upstairs and started to peel a orange. Before I finished peeling that orange he came upstairs with only his Ipad in his hand an said he was done. I was a little unnerved at that point and he said are you satisfied with my work. Unwittingly I signed the invoice and paid. He then said you must be quite a golfer. The only way he would have known that is if he was walking around my basement and saw a hole in one display on the wall not anywhere near that bathroom which I do no believe is part of his job. So I paid $260 for a $5 washer that was installed in about 3 minutes. Absolutely disgraceful. I have register a complaint with your office and am told that management will call back in 48 hours because it takes that long for them to see a copy of the invoice which I do not for a second believe. I do believe I am owed a full refund. At the very least I should not have to pay more than the $99 service charge and even that would be a rip off. Please let me know ASAP what you are going to do about this. Don Spangler 612-735-2254

Had a furnace inspection on a 12 year old home we recently purchased. Some electrical issues discovered, which was not unexpected, given the age of the unit. Offered a variety of repair or replacement solutions, all of which are quite pricey. Chose to repair at this time, with potential replacement in coming years. Explanation of the problems was very thorough, and jived with information on same I'd found online. Just wish their pricing was more transparent and itemized! Also I forgot to give them $25 off coupon they'd sent me. Maybe I'll get the additional discount for writing this review!

Every experience we have had with Genz Ryan has been outstanding. Their customer service personnel are friendly and polite. Technicians are knowledgeable, efficient and ON TIME. They clearly explain issues, present options and pricing and clean up after themselves. They are highly professional and committed to providing outstanding service.

Genz-Ryan just finished installing a new Amana furnace. Everything went like clockwork: the removal of our furnace & hauling it away-- assembling the new one and an electrician to bring it to code. All the techs were excellent and easy to work with. Always on time.

Chad did a great job of explaining what I needed when he came to do a water heater flush. However the Genz-Ryan policy of their package deals does not let you know exactly what you are paying for as far as parts and labor. You cannot compare apples to apples and see if you are getting a fair price. Both Chad and the installer (who's name I didn't catch) were very friend and open to questions. The installer found a better place to install the softener in my laundry room to create more space. We'll see how it goes in the future when they come for the maintenance contract.

Joe came out to install a new furnace for us during the middle of an awful snowstorm and terrible road conditions. He was on time, even called ahead to let me know he was on his way. Due to the weather conditions, we were having a very hectic morning but Joe was right on top of things! Very aware and caring about how he worked in our home (we have little ones), making sure when he put the cloth down to protect the floors that it wasn't in the way, as well as replacing the baby gate on the stairs in order to keep the little guy from crawling upstairs behind him. Joe was friendly, thorough in explaining things, courteous of our time, very professional, and went above and beyond his job expectations. He let us know about a leaking gas line, due to improper original installation, and he took cake of it right then and there. We were very happy with Joe and our Genz Ryan experience as a whole. As first time customers, we weren't sure exactly what to expect, but we will most definitely be using Genz Ryan for all applicable future needs!

Noah called and let me know when he was on his way to my house. He spent over 2 hours fixing my furnace and programming it. He would explain to me about the programming as he did it. He told me about their filter delivery service. Everything was great except I could smell cigarette smoke.

My furnace went wonky in the middle of the coldest night of the year. My interactions with Genz-Ryan were positive and helpful throughout. I got a service call at 2 AM and by 8 AM that same morning Joe Beckel was at the house taking out the old furnace and installing new. They brought heaters to help keep the house warm. Joe is a professional who knows his business and he kept me informed of his progress throughout the day. I highly recommend this company and the team of professionals that they employ.

Great customer service, they kept me informed throughout the very cold, backlogged day. They were swamped with furnace calls all day due to the bitter cold weather, but they came as promised on a Friday evening. Billy's work was very thorough and complete and he took the time to explain everything he found and everything he did, despite the fact that he knew he had another service call waiting. His fix was solid and the repair prices were very reasonable. I would not hesitate to call them for service again. They have a very professional team.

There were no appointments available on Saturday, so they scheduled it for first thing on Monday morning. Since it was leaking, they couldn't turn it back on for safety reasons. They provided us with space heaters to keep our home warm throughout the weekend (the temps got down below 0 over the weekend) which was really nice! Tom Murray and Chris Rimer came out to install the furnace and were great. I work from home and they were quiet and respectful while in the basement. Once finished, they ran through everything with me.

Once we decided what option we would take, he simplified our decision by setting up a schedule that worked for us. Shawn came as scheduled, reviewed our expectations and went directly to work removing, repairing and replacing our purchases. We have used Genz-Ryan for several projects in our home. The service technicians were polite, and professional. However, I was charged $700 for the installation of a new thermostat. When I went and looked for this new thermostat on line I found it sells for retail at about $200. I now feel Genz Ryan was not transparent with their fees. I do not understand how the 45 minutes of labor to diagnose the issue and install the new unit would incur an extra $500 in charges. I feel taken advantage of in this situation. I would appreciate be contacted about this issue.
