Wow!! What can I say but a 5 STAR business!! Our Plumbing Technician Joel P. was a super-professional. At first I was disappointed at how long it was taking them to arrive from another job, BUT now I understood why. They leave NO stone unturned. They are so thorough in their job they make sure they leave with everything working the way its supposed to. I was a nervous wreck with water pooling up from behind my wall in the basement, BUT Joel P. knew exactly what to do (25 years experience!). He had all the necessary tools at his disposal and anything that came up, he was prepared for. My large water leak was fixed, and I had peace of mind. He even examined every point of water distribution in my house and had a list of recommendations with various price options, but never pushed anything beyond my immediate emergency. He wasn't out to juice me for everything I had. He was there to rescue my family and I from disaster, and did so AMAZINGLY. I will always call Genz-Ryan from now on! Thank you so much! A toilet quit functioning and we were experiencing a loss of water pressure in two bathrooms and our water was brown in color. Bill ******* was the service technician who came to our house. He discovered that the water softener had malfunctioned and sediment that was coming out of the water softener was causing the loss of water pressure. He offered some options for fixing the system. We decided to replace the water softener. Bill replaced the flushing mechanism in the toilet and flushed out the pipes and the water heater. Matt M. did a great job installing our new hot water heater. He was very professional and gave me several options. I chose what I wanted and it was installed within a few hours. We had hot water before he left the house! We are having some serious issues. And we were told by many, that it's too bad you paid for all your work done. Because they are not going to care or heop you anymore. You might have to settle this in court! Well I am on here to tell everyone TRUST this company!!! They will stay with you until the problem is solved!!! AMAZING!!! Are we happy we found Genz-Ryan? YES we are!!! Especially that young man that came to our door the first day of our problems. That was Matt M. he has been a God sent! We have no doubt this will all end well !!!

We purchased our furnace from Genz-Ryan in 2007 and have had little to no issues. When we turned it on this fall, it wasn't working properly. Loren from Genz-Ryan came out on a Friday afternoon to take a look. It was an unusual code and he spent a good amount of time testing and diagnosing, including calling the manufacturer. It was determined that either the mother board went bad, or there was an outside electrical issue happening with our house. He helped us schedule an appointment with an electrician for Monday. Not even 30 minutes after he left our house on Friday, he called me and said that they had the part and "let's try this first and see if it works before we do the expense of an electrician." Loren truly went "above and beyond" as he then asked if it was OK if he came out on Saturday to do the repair (his day off). Ta da...it worked!

Chris and Joe installed my new high efficiency furnace yesterday and did an amazing job. They swapped out an 80 efficiency furnace for a 96.1 efficiency. Their professionalism with working through and solving how to properly vent the new furnace since they could not use the old exhaust and rebuilding some of the duct work that just did not look as clean as they wanted it to look. I know it is a utility room but I very much appreciate the fact they were willing to take the time to installed all the pipes and duct work in a very organized way to make it just look very clean. They could have taken the easy direct line to the intake and exhaust of the furnace to speed up the job but took their time to clean up what was already a very busy intersection of pipes. When my A/C unit needs to be replace I would have no problem having these guys comeback and install that system as well. Chris R. 11/08/16 |

We ended up choosing a new furnace and he was very helpful in showing all the options from top of the line to bottom of the barrel. I had a broken shower faucet and could not shut off the water. I called Genz-Ryan and they were able to get a technician to my house within 2 hours. Once the technician, Dave, arrived, he quickly reviewed the situation and gave me some options to fix the shower. Dave cleaned out our water heater. He took time to check out the fan and components. There was a problem which he explained clearly showing us on his camera. We were told we did not have to make the repair; it was up to us. We figured out the math and decided to go ahead with the repair which included taking the heater out of a closet. Dave never rushed us, he was willing to stay and make the repairs, the area was clean when he finished and the bill was what we expected. I'd leave zero stars if I could. I made a mistake. I agreed to have Genz Ryan install a water heater and some venting in my home. I signed a contract to have them install a water heater and some venting for a couple of sinks. The estimate was over $7,600 which seemed high to me. (There estimate for a Rinnai Tankless Water Heater was over $14,500). When I thought about it over the weekend, I decided it was too much money.
I called over the weekend and talked with the sales person and told him I didn't want to do the venting. In the awkward conversation the guy giving the estimate kept saying they are not a "time and materials" plumber and said he wouldn't give me a detailed estimate. The next Monday, a plumber came and installed the water heater for $3,800. They were supposed to install an outlet which I told them not to do and was assured there would be a credit for the fact that their electrician would not have to come out.
I found the exact same water heater on line for $800 from Home Depot which means they charged $3,000 for half of a day of installation for the water heater. The water heater was installed in the exact same space. No new venting or piping was needed. The water heater works fine. They did a great job installing it but the pricing from Genz Ryan is sketchy. I'm not sure if it was the person who priced out my job or if it was the organization as a whole but they refused to give an itemized invoice for the service. I never received an paid invoice or a credit for the electrician that never came.
It seems like they need to gouge customers to pay for all the "cute" advertising they are doing. Again, I agreed to this for which I take responsibility but I'm hoping this review might protect others from using them.

Richie was very polite and professional when entering. He ask the appropriate questions that I understood and proceeded to check my furnace and then did a complete check of system. With the questions I asked and seeing him at work, he sure knew his stuff. He was very knowledgeable of what he was doing and I felt I can and will trust in his work. Being disabled and needing someone like Richie made me feel safe knowing my furnace was well checked over. I just hope I can have Richie back for further check-ups. It started with a 1st time call to GenzRyan . Phone was answere by Wendy, she was so cheerful and ready to help ! A great first impression!!! She got a message out and within 30mins, I received a call confirming a plumber named Matt M. Would be here shortly!!! And he was indeed!!! Matt came in and introduced himself and proceeded to say... I know what caused your problems!! Matt was absolutely amazing!!! He was able to deliver the worse devastating news to us, as to what took place in our home caused by a faulty Water Softener... Everyone should be made aware of the aftermath of the catastrophic mess and damage it does!!! However, Matt walked us through it, piece by piece, and with the patience of Job! No pressure at anytime!! Sweetest Man ever, You can't pay him enough!! He is amazing, and at his job as well! He came to our house around 4PM and left around 9:45 PM . He said he would not leave, until we had running water and at least one toilet before he left!! Actually he got 2 toilets working and running water before he left! Not only did we find a awesome Plumber and Plumbing Company but, also a wonderful friend!! Many Thanks Matt you are the best!!! After unexpectedly losing my husband last year I signed up for a quarterly service check of my heating, plumbing, A/C. I called since I hadn't been contacted for my heating check and was having some trouble with the temperatures. They were able to get me scheduled within a few days. He showed me how to operate my complex thermostat and unfortunately also found an electrical issue with my fairly new furnace.
