We had great service with Genz-Ryan! We needed service on our furnace and water heater. Dave B and Noah F arrived on time and were very polite. They fixed the appliances quickly and got everything working back to normal! I will definitely use them again in the future!

Very friendly, courteous and professional service. Lots of service options from a band-aid fix to full replacement and all are fully explained. No pressure to upsell. Quality work all around. Only non-positive comment is they maybe cost a little bit higher than average, but the quality and service is also higher.

Mike ****** did a wonderful job during my furnace inspection. He fully inspected my furnace and gave me a few options to ensure it's longevity. I really appreciated him not pushing any services on me, but giving me a few options to help my HVAC system and home maintenance.

Everything was great but I was really put off by the packages. I want to be charged a fair price to fix the problem. I don't want general packages that leave me trying to figure out what is appropriate.

Everything was professional and courteous. Joel was great. I was just shocked at how much you charge and I feel like you are completely trying to take advantage of customers when your least expensive option to replace a water heater is $3000 and one option was high as $7000. Absolutely ridiculous and purely overselling options that people simply don't need. I ended up working with Home Depot and spent $1600 total.

The technicians are very knowledgeable and takes their time to explain the issues. I got the service plan partner and it's obviously worth it.

We had our annual furnace check-up and some things were found to be starting to fail. We were able to have the work done in the same day! This was great with our crazy schedule, since we didn't have to schedule another appointment. Chris came out to our house and did an awesome job, and ran through everything with me before he left.

I had my hot water heater serviced by Tom R., and I couldn't be any happier. He pointed out some things that were not functioning properly with my water softener, and noticed that my commode was leaking into the basement. I will be changing my maintenance program from another company to Genz-Ryan because of his thoroughness and observation. Who wouldn't like to head off problems before they occur? He is helping me avoid expensive problems in the future.

OK lets be patient and read the full story. The problem: After troubleshooting for leaks causing new water softener to indicate water flow from .1 gpm to 1 gpm with some 0 gpm (Gallons/Minute) lasting over 2 minutes; I could not identify any at all. Instead, I found that the city water meter was showing flow then reversing water flow. This would fool the digital meter on the water softer affecting demand recharge. Having been a plumber long ago with really good mentors I new that the expansion tank must be causing the fluctuating of pressure and we needed a back flow preventer. Plumbing business has changed since my time. Up-selling new. Bill H. performed his job according to plan after I said no to the upgrades and installed the device solving the issue. Being a VIP member or whatever they call the service contract, Bill H. performed a plumbing inspection per agreement. Now the bad news... about 2 days after plumbing services I needed to get spring decorations out of storage in basement (unfinished) and heard a drip... yep a drip. Think of a plastic baby pool with a 1 foot slide... well that was how much water was accumulated on black tarp. Both Bill and I missed the leak under the bar sink which had also lots of towels and paper products that soaked up about a months worth of water. The drip was on the isolation valve (90 degree) on cold water side. Mistakes happen and even I wasn't perfect (hard to believe right?). I thin the 4.6 is fair even with this story outcome. We had our hot water heater flushed and inspected this morning. We were very pleased with the service. The young man that did the service was very good at explaining what he was going to do, and what he did. I had some questions and he answered them for me. He was courteous and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Genz Ryan for any service work.

Mike is a top professional and a great representative of this company. He offered many suggestions for how I could keep my furnace running better, thoroughly explained the issue concerning my furnace, and was in and out of my house, leaving it as clean as it was to begin with. He offered to and explained a service plan that was appropriate for me, which was affordable (my concern) and which will keep my heating and cooling reliable. If Mike isn't a trainer, he should be! You couldn't have a better representation!

The scheduling process was time consuming and not convenient. The service person showed up 2 hours after the end of the scheduled time window. We do not plan on using Genz-Ryan for the work or would recommend in the future.

Mike B was very good at explaining what he was doing with my furnace check up. He didn't mind that I stayed to asked questions as he did the maintenance check on the furnace and air exchange. He was nice and friendly and knowledgeable - offering good advice. Mike B. didn't pressure me to add additional services to the inspection. This was a good thing as we used Genz-Ryan to replace a water heater and softener and found out they never pulled the permit with the city. They never got back to me about it, so it meant I had to follow-up numerous times They still have a ways to go to win me back as a loyal customer after that incident and their "package deals" way of doing business. I used them for this service as I had signed up for their maintenance package when I got the water heater.

Matt responded to a call regarding my reverse osmosis system. He quickly diagnosed the problem, installed the faulty part, and got the system running - perfectly. Matt has responded to my plumbing issues in past years. He is very personable, highly professional, and very knowledgable. A total pleasure to deal with! It was also a pleasure to work with Cherie at Customer Service. She kept me advised of the Matt's arrival time, carefully explained my options, and was very upbeat throughout. My thanks to them both!

Do not let these people in your house. We paid them to flush our hot water heater. They left it leaking, and tried to charge us to fix their mistake. Everything about this feels like a scam. We will never use Genz-Ryan again, and highly suggest that you do not either.

Did not speak in terms that I could understand. Made it more complicated than necessary. Wanted to make work more expensive than I thought it should have been. Will not have work done with this company again. Too expensive.
