We reached out to get a refund on prepaid services by Tuff Shed that they never delivered. We couldn’t get a response or anyone to work with us to get things set right. After a few months of little response....no calls back. We wrote to the BBB to see if they could help us get some communication going and within a few weeks we had our refund and a leader of the company called us to tell us they apologize and to contact him directly if we needed anything else. So easy working with BBB they do everything!

I pointed out advertising fraud relating to commemorative coins produced in China advertised as gold and silver. I had coins tested with XRF and they were iron and aluminum,, attracted by a magnet , no gold or silver! I received credit after returning the coins, but the the fraud case was closed with no more info offered relating to fraud investigation. I always thought the BBB was here to protect consumers from fraud - guess I was wrong

Home Advisor was giving me the run around until I mentioned I was contacting BBB. As soon as I did, they issued a full refund to me.

I love the BBB and under such challenging times, they were there to talk to and try to help, however, there wasn't a resolution that suited what I wanted. I was promised a refund but they just gave me a credit and that's why I went to BBB. They did reach out to Evolve Vacation Rental, however all I got was an email from evolve saying NOPE you are getting a credit and nothing more. Nothing else was done by BBB and they allowed the fraud to continue.

I had an issue with Sling TV's "no refund" policy. I contacted BBB to see if they might be able to help me with the issue. I spoke about how they were using the Covid-19 quarantine to trick people into "free trials" and then charge their cards the day the trial ended and then not offer refunds of any kind. The BBB contacted them on my behalf and we were able to come to a refund option.

A total waste of my valuable time. The business in question ignored my specific issues and gave canned responses, and even lied. Despite having evidence showing that they were lying, the BBB did nothing. Maybe they cannot do anything. Which, makes them a useless participant in this process.

I contacted the BBB because Century Link kept increasing my bill even though I had registered online on August 16, 2016 for advertisement for online and landline for $61.95 a month with no increase for 5 years. Instead they kept increasing my bill. When it hit around $83.00 I contacted BBB for help. When Century Link said they would apply discount and only charge $61.99 a month plus taxes, fees and surcharges I would not accept that since it was NO BETTER! BBB said it was settled but I knew after all the charges it would have been about the same. Now Century Link changed my account because of this without my authorization and of course now it will go up even more. I called Century Link today telling them I was surprised to get a letter telling me of the change and told "Marco" 3 times I wanted to keep the same account for $61.95 a month for 5 years but he would not do it. I know I am only a small peon (elderly woman) and they are a big company! BBB was certainly no help and seemed to make it worse!

I contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding unwarranted billing and threatened legal action against me by an out-of-state toll road business and their lawyers. The BBB stepped up, relayed my story to them and they had to admit that they were pursuing the wrong person and they dropped the issue and apologized. Thank you BBB persons for being there for me!

I received two messages from the BBB. The first one was that my complaint had been received. The second was that BBB had contacted the Company of the complaint. Until this request for comments I have not received any other messages from the BBB. I thought I would have received info back on whether the Company of the complaint had contacted you (BBB) in any way. I was disappointed about not getting any further info from the BBB. I have great faith in the BBB, and have no complaints except wishing for a comment whether the company I complained about had contacted you back.

It seems to me that the BBB is just an email system where you confirm that the business did in fact respond to me. What we actually said didn't seem to matter at all. The business owner called me a liar. I presented a lot of evidence showing my side, and she presented none - she just said I was crazy and lying. She also focused on an issue that was completely irrelevant. I can't tell if she doesn't understand why I'm upset (she charged me for something without telling me she was doing it, at the request of a different person who has paid her for her work before instead of me), or if she is playing dumb. BBB didn't step in to clarify issues to make sure she understood why I was complaining; they just let her talk back to me without addressing any of my complaints. They decided she had "attempted to resolve the issue" just because she wrote back, without any regard for whether she was even talking about the same events (she was not).

I don't understand why BBB closing my case when it was clearly Ibotta problem and I have asked to escalate the case to Ibotta managent to take corrective action? BBB was more interested in asking me to pay for BBB to help resolving the case.

BBB did an excellent job of mediating as result of bad customer service experience that I received lately from an Auto Body company in CO. The matter was resolved within or less than two weeks of my initial report to BBB. The most interesting was BBB carried me along of every step of their professional contact and actions with the Auto Body company. I sincerely recommend BBB whenever you're at a crossed road with any company.

I didn't feel that a clear enough explanation was given as to how the process works. And apparently the other side was more experienced as to how to respond. I was inadequate as far as my responses went, I was not sure how many times it was to go on and therefore I was frustrated that I did not know the rules and process as well as I could have.

I was ripped off by a popular TV streaming service. For three months after I cancelled their services, they continued taking automatic payments from my bank account. They refused to refund my money, even though I could prove it was their fault. I filed a complaint with the BBB, within a few hours, my rep (BT) let me know he/she had already sent an inquiry to the business. A few minutes later, I received an email from the business letting me know they had decided to refund my money. I have no doubt that their change of heart was caused by the BBB. Over the years, I've filed several complaints with BBB. They've always been prompt, professional, unbiased and I have 100% confidence in them.

Sometimes you just reach your limit with a business with which you are dealing. In this case CenturyLink wouldn't discontinue service even after I made numerous requests, and they kept billing me. I contacted the Better Business Bureau. It was a good experience. BBB was quick, direct, understood the problem, and knew how to correct it. BBB's actions are a great relief to me, and hopefully will force CenturyLink to change their aggressive billing methods which will save other customers of this company the grief that I went through. I'm am very grateful to the BBB.

To date my complaint and my review that I filed (on a terrible acting company- Vail Resorts Management Company - A Company who is terribly rich BTW) has not been published on the BBB website for this unfair company. My complaint was specifically about how Vail Resorts Management Company [VRMC] is not providing refunds to Epic Pass Day holders who have unused days left on their very expensive ski passes and cannot use them due to the Covid-19 shutdown. In addition NO one from the Better Business Bureau Resolution Team reached out to me even though their note to me stated that a so-called 'Community E" person reached out to me and helped me out with my problem with Vail Resorts Management Company. NO one reached out to me at all to get this unfair action resolved! even though there are actually Federal laws prohibiting a company to charge for services not rendered and the BBB has not helped me by encouraging Vail resorts Management Company do the right and lawful thing. Furthermore, there are many many 1 star reviews about VRMC and I find it abhorable that the BBB has them rated as and A company!! Other people on the BBB website sated the same thing! The BBB looks to be BOUGHT and PAID for by the very abhorrent companies we write complaint about not an unbiased company supposedly "trying to help out consumers"!

Can't thank BBB enough for their help with resolving a very bad experience we were having with Dish TV. This was the first time I had been caught up in such a bad experience with a company that was so rude to the point of actually feeling helpless to their threats and it was a very stressful experience until I contacted BBB with my complaint. Thank goodness they were there to help resolve this issue and I would highly recommend contacting them with any questions or problems you may be having with any retailer.
