I was ripped off by a popular TV streaming service. For three months after I cancelled their services, they continued taking automatic payments from my bank account. They refused to refund my money, even though I could prove it was their fault. I filed a complaint with the BBB, within a few hours, my rep (BT) let me know he/she had already sent an inquiry to the business. A few minutes later, I received an email from the business letting me know they had decided to refund my money. I have no doubt that their change of heart was caused by the BBB. Over the years, I've filed several complaints with BBB. They've always been prompt, professional, unbiased and I have 100% confidence in them.

I received two emails saying BBB contacted the vendor and received a response. Both responses from the vendor were exactly the same--at this time we are not giving refunds. 1. I paid for a lift ticket- 2. the resort closed- 3. as a result, I was not able to use my lift ticket. Straight forward--money paid-No service given. BBB sends me an email saying the vendor made a good faith effort to arbitrate. WHAT? I feel, b/c Vail resorts is such a big company operating in Colorado, BBB is afraid of alienating them! TO HECK WITH THE CONSUMER. Filling out the BBB forms was a WASTE OF TIME!!!

I am so thankful I contacted the BBB on my issue with Frontier. After trying to call and sending messages to Frontier for over a week, Frontier contacted me with two days of my BBB complaint. The Frontier agent helped me to determine the problem and it was resolved fairly quickly. BBB is a very valuable resource and I am very thankful for their service.

I received a message for more information and sent all my records ,at a further cost,and they decided I was correct a mistake was made on their part. Then it decided no restitution was due. No records for me to see . They just kept the over payments. Very poor customer service. I would advise any consumer to review their billing practices carefully. This was a joke. Businesses are just following the strategy of lengthening communication and not resolving issues (clearly stated) in the first request. So, after the second reply they are done but nothing gets resolved.

Sling TV activated my Sling account 6 months after a "Free" trial. (I had to leave a credit card number.) Sling TV has done this to tens of thousands of people but since they have not been sued they continue to do it. Never leave a credit card number for a free trial with Sling TV. The BBB quickly had my account credited. I noticed that Sling had the BBB logo on their site. I reported this to the BBB and the logo has been removed. Sometimes things can work. Thanks BBB.

After reaching out to the BBB, they were able to notify the owner of the company. The owner then reached out to me and resolved my issues. BBB then followed up with me to ensure it was resolved to my satisfaction.

It's basically a joke and they don't even follow their own timelines. The business was late to respond, didn't provide any documentation and lied multiple times. BBB didn't even bother to try and get my documentation and proof and just closed the complaint. All a business has to do do be highly rated by BBB is pay their dues for a long time. I'd trust Google reviews or Yelp before using them.

Better Business Bureau stop the promotional mail that I've been getting for a solid year. The promotions came by the US Postal Service and the emails. Despite the multiple phone calls I made to the company requesting them to stop despite unsubscribing from their emails despite calling their parent company I could not stop the promotion data until I contact Better Business Bureau.

BBB fell into the trap believing that SLS was 100% in the right and the customer had no issues. Far from the truth unfortunately. SLS has over 600 complaints and many unresolved. As for my complaint I had very good documented proof that this company was in the wrong and now I have to live with a credit rating far below where it was originally. That's not right. According to them it will be corrected within ninety days and yet it only took one minute to destroy it. Very,very unfair and wrong. Im sure BBB did what they said they would do but they allowed SLS to get away with it. I will now have to explore other remedies to correct this wrong doing. Businesses like SLS shouldn't be allowed to get away with wrong doing.

I would have given the Denver BBB a 5 star rating but they closed my case before I was satisfied. SLING was supposed to refund me and never did. I was waiting to see the refund show up. Instead the BBB closed my case. Therefore, when I don't get it and I suspect I will since they told me 2 times before that I would and didn't, I will have to open another case. What a pain that is. Otherwise, it was good.

The BBB is an excellent resource for consumers. I have felt that, as a consumer, I am at the mercy of some businesses and their practices. The BBB has helped me resolve issues that are not fair and should be corrected. Thank you !!!

The BBB was of no value in resolving my issue. The Company did not offer any solution, and the BBB's response was to say "The Company answered, but the customer still disagrees." So if you cannot actually solve anything, what is the BBB's purpose?

I had an excellent experience. The BBB staff was very professional and prompt. The issue ended up being resolved to my satisfaction. This wouldn't have happened without help from BBB. I highly recommend using BBB.

I had requested that the Reed Group, LLC (who has kept my leave status in hiatus for 9 months) contact me to resolve this issue--with BBB acting as a third party mediator. BBB closed my issue without any resolution. I STILL have not heard from Reed Group, LLC regarding my issue.

Nonetheless, I am so impressed that you actually took my case and assisted me to an excellent resolution. Was impressed with Cyndel in customer service. She explained why my complaint was not published (I submitted it handwritten and your system cannot transfer it to a posting) so that solved the mystery. A suggestion.......put that info on your dispute form so that fact is made clear. Thank you!

While I did not actually speak with anyone, the process was handled with prompt, courteous responses. There was a moment when I did not agree with what the other party did in response and my voice was heard. In today's world of eCommerce communications through Call Centers off shore and non-personal interaction, the Denver BBB handles this process very professionally and personally.

The result that I received from DISH network was the one that I was hoping for. They were professional and worked with me. I had tried that before without success but when the BBB stepped in it made them pay attention and I really appreciate all that you did.

published, I had to submit it online and not just in handwritten form. There's nothing on your dispute form indicating that is the requirement for posting it publicly and I would strongly suggest that something to that effect be added to the form. However, I dropped the ball on this and after several weeks of looking for it and with the holiday rush, I neglected to keep checking or just assumed it had been published. Anyway, the dispute has been resolved to my satisfaction and that's what matters. marcia a. fields

The BBB is never really on your side only a go between. They did not want to help even when we provided the proof that Home Advisors had scammed us Because we did not except a bogus offer they closed the claim Go to the attorney general office you get better results

In my effort to buy a new Toyota, I was given misleading information by a salesman, including a delivery date that could not be met, which was revealed weeks after I signed the sales agreement. I contacted the dealer's Customer Care manager to complain. He showed interest in my complaint but didn't bother to call me back. After I submitted my complaint to the BBB, I got a call from the dealer sales manager with an offer to work with me on a resolution but I was past the point of no return and requested a refund of my deposit which was returned promptly.
