Dan and Tommy were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and worked very well as a team. In addition, they were mindful of my cat, making sure she was safe in another room while each vent was being cleaned.
I was impressed that although it was fairly late in the evening when I first called, I was expecting to leave a message and receive a call in the morning, that someone was there to take my call and answer my questions. It was easy to make an appointment, the technicians are prompt, and a customer service representative also called a day or two after my appointment to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. Rick and Matt did an incredible job cleaning the ducts in our house! They showed up (early!), explained every step of the process, then deep-cleaned every duct in the entire house. We appreciated their before-and-after photos, too, and they made sure everything was spotless when they left. Plus, their up-front pricing meant I knew exactly what the service would cost -- which is great, especially because some other companies use bait-and-switch tactics and lowball estimates to lure in customers. I had my ducts cleaned a few weeks ago and am very happy with the service and the results HOWEVER there are two things I am disappointed in. First, I was doing laundry while the furnace was running and noticed there was a lot of air blowing out at the base. It turns out that the guys had not reattached the furnace to the main duct; I found all the screws lying on the hot water heater. Needless to say, I was very upset that I had been wasting heat and money! My other issue is that they cashed my check over 3 weeks after the service. If they prefer not to take checks, they should say so. $400 is a lot of money to sit on.
I would recommend this company again but I would also advise to check out the area before and after they are through to make sure nothing is missed... and don't write them a check! Rick e., Jim S. 04/09/14 |

I am thoroughly pleased with Amistee's work to clean our air ducts (including the clothes dryer vent to the roof). After calling me to ask if it was okay, they arrived an hour before my scheduled appointment. They thoroughly explained the process, then worked efficiently, keeping us posted on their progress along the way. They took photographs inside the duct work, and showed us what was there.

Staff was professional from the time I made the appointment until they left my house. Easy to schedule, received a reminder call the day prior, and another call a half hour before they arrived. They worked on our 1100 sq ft home for a couple hours, and addressed all the registers and returns, and all the ductwork. We could hear tons of gunk as it was sucked up through their hoses. Saw a couple before/after photos, and expect to receive a dvd of more photos soon (part of their service). We have been doing remodelling for the last two years, and we badly needed to have this done. I just moved to MI and have a lot of house projects on my list. When I called Amistee Air Duct Cleaning I spoke with Donna. I explained that I was getting other quotes for the job. Donna was very professional when she explained the cleaning process and what to look for in other companies. I really appreciated that information. Jim and Melvin were fantastic. They actually called to arrive earlier than my scheduled time. They were so thorough. The job took about 31/2 hours. My dryer vent, which runs the length of the basement was a disaster. Jim broke it down and made sure it was cleaned through out. Jim and Melvin were very professional, explained everything to me, the before and after photos are just incredible. The people were very nice from desk to workmen. There equipment is very impressive, a large vacuum truck is brought on site. The guys from Amistee were great and I'm very happy with the job. They were very conscientious about keeping my floors/carpets clean and wore shoe covers when inside. The guys showed up earlier than I expected which messed with my daughter's nap time but pushing nap time is not a big deal for a well done job. I am very happy with the service and how clean the air in my home feels already (they left about 15 minutes ago). Barry showed me pictures of inches of mortar and plaster inside the ducts from when our home was originally built in the 50s.
