Fernando appeared on time, provided very reasonable options on how to repair our shower fixture, and also made some plumbing improvements by relocating and replacing our crossover circulation tee part to improve our cold water flow. Jose replaced further sections of rusting steel pipe nipples that were installed by an "in a hurry" remodeling contractor. Same contractor had installed an unauthorized cheap ball valve in my laundry room. This valve had rusted out and blew it's handle off and started flooding my laundry room and garage just as Jose was getting started to work. I am sooo lucky Jose and Sam were here. They stopped the water, wet vacuumed the whole location and then fixed the broken valve. They were amazing! They then went back and finished the original job. Fernando installed new tub and prepared all plumbing connections, new tile and enclosure wall. Re-piped bathroom including replacement of pipes in the walls and under the house. After I took a blocked bathtub drain and made things 10 times worse by trying to snake it myself, I searched for a plumber late at night in a panic. Landed on Albert Nahman's website at 11pm and was shocked when a live human starting chatting with me. Despite them being booked for a week they were able to find me a last minute appointment the very next day. Today I got a text saying the technician was on their way, with a live map view of their location so I could see exactly when they were arriving. Once here they were quickly able to resolve my failed snake attempt, and then proceeded to thoroughly unclog the drain of 10 years worth of neglect. The bathroom was covered and cleaned the whole time, they wore booties and a mask, and explained all the work required and the costs up front. When the first attempt didn't yield optimum results they repeated the procedure two more times until they were satisfied. A great experience from start to finish, and I'm mostly annoyed I've used other, sub-par, providers for years before finding this company. I'll be requesting them for any future home warranty claims. When we bought this house, it came with a couple of terrible (low-efficiency) Gerber toilets with integrated powerflushes, which have failed repeatedly over the years and had to have various parts replaced. Our downstairs powerflush finally gave up the ghost last Saturday (the Saturday of Labor Day weekend) and we decided it was time to just replace the toilet with one that meets modern efficiency standards and doesn't sound like it was built by Pratt & Whitney. We gave Albert Nahman a call and got a callback from Albert himself a few minutes later. The toilet was a 10" rough-in (which is a little rarer than the usual 12"), but they were able to get a new toilet lined up from their distributor that matched our requirements on Tuesday (the first business day after the holiday). The installers who showed up on Tuesday were great (Jose and another guy who I think was an apprentice and didn't give his name). They got the toilet swapped out in about an hour and also replaced the slightly leaky shutoff valve. The service was pretty expensive, but they showed up quickly and the new toilet is great. Absolutely great service. Tony, the technician, was on time, friendly, polite, and provided excellent service in replacing and changing the location of our central heater thermostat. Provided excellent advice on the new location, as well as the pros and cons of a standard digital thermostat versus an Internet connected one. We didn’t plan on having the work done immediately, but he had all the necessary parts with him, the skills, and the time. The price was right, job done, we are ready for the winter!
