Monowar Hossain and his colleague from Albert Nahman Plumbing & Heating performed excellent professional services at our home installing a water pressure regulator valve combined with a new main water service shut-off valve in addition to an earthquake gas shut-off safety valve. They were prompt and very efficient. Monowar also inspected the function and aging state of our water heater. Tad and Byron from Albert Nahman fixed a pipe blockage that affected two bathrooms and resulted in a leak into the room below. The blockage required persistence and care while routing out our 100+ year old pipes. Ted explained everything very well before starting. He was able to diagnose the most probable reason why the pipe leaked when it was blocked. He didn’t have to enter the crawl space from the ceiling below. He pulled the toilets to check the seals. Monowar and Ahmad went above and beyond to right a bit of a mistake on the part of the chat team that booked my appointment. The online chat customer service rep indicated that they do not handle toilet orders and that I’d have to buy my own toilet before the installation date. Fine enough generally except I (like so many in the Bay) live in a quirky old Victorian house where it seams nothing is a standard size and it’s often worth the up charge to have an expert purchase hardware in case of irregular specs. My apprehension was correct. Several weeks, one broken and exchanged Home Depot toilet later and the installation team arrived to take one look at the toilet to realize the sizing was off. Thankfully, Monowar is a determined problem solver. Noted I was very pregnant and recognized this needed to be done ASAP. He managed to find a suitable model to pick up same day and even looked for discounts on my behalf. Ahmad removed the old unit while Monoway picked up the new one. Despite a HUGE hiccup, this pair pulled off the job not just same day, but still within the inicial window of time planned! Needless to say, they earned back all trust on their employers behalf. Albert Nahman Services, never lose these two. In fact, give them a raise. I don’t like to get involved in public forums, but I wanted to thank you for your help with our acute plumbing issue last week, and to tell you how pleased we were with the work that was done. José and Sam’s are excellent. José, as the lead, was intelligent, knowledgeable, pleasant, and efficient. Good listener as decisions had to be made, and willing and able to explain the problems and the fixes. Sam was not just an assistant, but seemed completely informed as to what was going on, and had suggestions to prevent future problems. Having met Tad, I was concerned that the “next guy” might not have equivalent skills. José and Sam were wonderful and have led me to already recommend Nahman to friends. This would have been a 5-star review based on the courtesy, punctuality and efficiency of the technician. He did a 5-star job. The lower rating is based on the price, which is a company issue. I think that $378.00 to unclog a drain is way pricey. With the electric snake it is a fast an easy job. Next time I will look for a fairer price...or buy my own electric snake! We are not on social media, so we will evaluate the excellence of your services, here below: We found Chris who arrived early to begin repairs at 8 AM. His expertise was obvious, as well as his readiness to tell us exactly what was going on, what the problem proved to be, and what corrections and costs would be. When we alerted him to the medical demand for showering tonight and tomorrow morning for my Wife’s challenging medical procedure the next day, he informed us full options. The On Demand Heater was 26 years old and still running. Replacement was in order, either by gas of electricity which could not be done on that day. He warned us that replacing the emergency safety value, as required, would not remedy the replacement that was in order. We asked for the temporary fix, fully informed what should soon be done to bring our system up to date, whether gas (required a dedicated and larger pipe) or electricity (lasting but 5 years or so). We were full informed, educated, and deeply satisfied by his openness, decency, style of work, and a damn nice expert serving us well. Thank you. We like everything about Albert Nahman Services. Five stars all of the time. The estimate was on spot, great personal service and good price. The techs were on time, professional, used the best material, and quick. I cannot believe that our job was finished in less than a day. They even went around the house to test every toilet - more than twice! Lastly, I have to mention that this company gets how to manage customer service better than any other company I know.
