I'm writing to express sincere thanks to your electrician Joe D and his apprentice Vincenzo for their excellent work in replacing my electrical service from the outside PSE&G connection down to & including the service panel box in the basement. Joe had come out on Monday 1/7/19 to inspect the situation, and provide an estimate for the work including an explanation of the needs, etc. Today, Wednesday 1/9/19 he & Vincenzo came out to do this extensive installation and completed it in a very reasonable amount of time (noting the power was out during the work), explaining again what had been done and tidying up afterwards. Both workers are very personable, knowledgeable & skilled in their profession which was assuring while the work was done. In summary a very fine job and will consider Universe again as maybe needed for future home service needs. 01/10/19 |

On Christmas Eve, with 40 people on their way to our home and lots of food to re-heat, my oven stopped working. I have always had good experiences with Universe Appliance Repairs - so I called them immediately. The office staff quickly jumped into action and sent Tim T. to our home and to our rescue. The universe team led by Joe D visited my home and helped diagnose power issues I was having. He made some suggestions and looked around the panel. My panel had several issues included loose nuetrals in the panel and on the pole. I had them replace and upgrade the panel which was a decent sized effort. Out heat conked out on a Saturday winter evening and since we have a 1 year old and a 3 year old, we didn't want to wait until the next day. The lady on the phone was friendly and was able to get someone out to us the same night.
Rich showed up within the time frame we were given. He listened to us describe the issue and took his time troubleshooting. He had our heat back up within the hour(granted, it wasn't a huge fix) and explained what the issue was. He was friendly yet professional and took the time to answer our questions.

If you're looking for honest/professional and friendly service, this is the company you'd want to choose. I can't say enough about the service i received. I just had a hot water heater put in by Sean Miller and service by Rich..Universe plumbing is by far the best. They are very reasonable, professional and extremely honest..The work was done by top notch guys..Look no further for all your plumbing needs...10 stars...

I have used Universe for a number of issues that needed correcting in my home. They installed our boiler when we converted to gas, adjusted our gas lines for two fire places, and replaced our water heater when it was finally time to do so (11 years old).
Each time they came to my house, they were professional, efficient, cleaned up any mess they made, and then took the time to answer my questions about the new equipment they installed.
Their prices are fair, and their service is impeccable. The have never pushed me to buy anything, which is a nice change. If you are looking for minor fixes or major upgrades, go with Universe and save yourself from unnecessary stress and headaches. Their service will leave you worry free.
As a side note, I started using Universe a while ago. One winter, when I had oil heating, I contacted a company I had a contract with at the time and they were going to leave me without oil for a number of days because I was not signed up for their top plan.
I contacted Universe, as well as three other companies, and Universe was the only one willing to give me oil that day for the daily price. They kept my house heat going and I switched to them. I have been happy ever since. Joe H. 12/28/18 |
