I had a leaking hot water heater. Jason was fine. He diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts which would arrive in about a week. The job would cost a few hundred dollars. My issue is with the ensuing breakdown in communications. The next day I called Universe and requested a price to REPLACE the entire unit (a job that would cost approximately $2,000). I was told Jason was the person most familiar with my system and would call me back. Two days later and no return call. I then called Universe and requested to speak to a manager/supervisor. I was told that everyone was out on jobs, but someone would get back to me. No one did. I eventually purchased and installed a new hot water heater. I was disappointed that my calls were not returned. I had done business with Universe many times over the years and had been very happy with their work. Rob and Nick were the repair men sent to diagnose my broken washer. They showed early which was a pleasure and they quickly realized the washer was beyond repair. Very honest. I highly recommend Universe Appliance. This is one of several great experience with this company.

Our sales representative ( Glen) was extremely helpful and worked with us to give us exactly what we needed.
The installation crew was on time, friendly and highly efficient. They arrived on time at
8 am and left after 4, completely cleaned up the work and removed all the debris.
A special note : Mike and Mike were especially helpful. All the others were too, but we had more contact with the two Mike's. ( in fact one Mike worked our installing our new boiler a few years back) it was good to have him back for our new AC system.
We look forward to using the new system when temps heat up

I called for an appointment to repair a pipe under the bathroom sink. The technician arrived within the appointment window and greeted my wife and i very politely and with a smile. Joe, the technician went to the bathroom sink and after a few minutes explained what the issue was. He gave my wife and i three options to resolve the problem. After a short discussion in which he explained in detail what the long term and short term outcomes would be for each option. Once my wife and i decided on an option Joe ordered the part required for the job, got the part from his home office and made the repair. We were extremely satisfied with the final outcome and would ask for Joe in the future if we needed any plumbing services. We have been customers of Universe for almost 15 years with a heating and hot water service contract. Whenever we have needed them they have been there. One of our circulators was making a humming sound that was driving me crazy. James was the technician that was sent. He changed our faulty circulator, which then led to another problem, through no fault of his. He took care of all the problems we had and took the time to make sure everything was working properly. Called today because we woke up to no heat again. The 3rd time I had to restart the gas burner. Called and was told that the repair would be done today between 11-3. He did what he needed to do and made a recommendation that my water heater was reaching its golden years and should be replaced soon.
