Nobody wants to have a problem with household stuff... plumbing, electric, heating, a/c, appliances... we'd all just like them to perform the way they're supposed to. Unfortunately, that's not how any of this works. Problems are inevitable. And it's when those inevitable problems DO happen that I'm glad I deal with Tim and the boys from Universe. Hi! In my complete frustration with the local contractors that either did not respond or when they did gave me outrages diagnostics, I decided to go with Universal to assist me with my on demand hot water heating system. John was very pleasant and repaired the issue in less than an hour! Nick was extremely knowledgeable and he explained in detail the work that he performed concerning replacing the waste pipe, drain pipes and steam return pipe, as well as other related tasks. Big thumbs up to Universe Home Services. We have had this company for about five years. I think we pay $360 per year for a maintenance program and emergency call service. We’ve had to call them to her three times and they’ve always been great. About six months ago they install the tankless water heater which we loved and has given us no issues, as well as a whole house water filtration system When I was trying to do the dinner dishes about nine I noticed the hot water was ice cold and then realized it was no heat coming up. I called the number and got the answering service. They were very pleasant and within three minutes I had a callback from the lady at universe. She was as pleasant as if it was 10 o’clock in the morning. She told me someone would be dispatched right away and within about 55 minutes very nice gentleman (Frank) was at the door - again, with a smile as if it were normal working hours and not 10 pm. Turns out the tankless boiler needed to be reset which only took a few minutes and he stayed long enough to make sure that the heat was coming up and the water was nice and hot. Within 90 minutes of realizing I had no heat or hot water everything was taken of and everyone that I dealt with was pleasant and professional. Very pleased :) Frank N. 01/07/20 |

Our experience with Universe was first rate from beginning to end. The office assistance, repairman's professionalism, promptness of arrival, ease in scheduling, and courteous, efficient service were all top notch. The plumber, Russ, was polite and efficient, He explained each step as he worked, doubled checked his work before he left, and even clean up so that you would never know work had been done. He did not look at me like a crazy woman, he knew I did his leg work. I was one step away from resolving my issue and he went straight to it. So glad I called! While attempting to clean out the lint trap on my dryer, my vacuum attachment fell into the dryer and literally disappeared. Of course the piece became lodged in the exhaust fan motor making my dryer useless. I called Universe and got an appointment the same day. About an hour after contacting Universe I received a phone call from Nick the technician asking me if he could come by in 15 minutes. He came by, disassembled the dryer, found the vacuum piece and corrected the condition. The entire process took less than 90 minutes . Not sure if that's normal but it definitely saved me time by not having to wait around all day and also allowed me to continue with the laundry. Great job. Thanks! Nick M. 12/30/19 |

I needed to have my thermostat replaced. I called on Friday and was given an appointment for later in the day. Tim came and looked at the thermostat and my heating and cooling system. He then took the time to explain my options to me and let me decide what I wanted. After he replaced the old thermostat he then took the time to program it for me. Russ arrived promptly after giving me a phonecall to give me an ETA. Although it turned out to be an easy fix, he discovered some issues that would cause me some concern in the future. He thoroughly explained the work I needed to get done to get the plumbing up to code as this is an older home. He took the time to explain to me the advantages of spending a little money now to avoid expensive costs in the future. Such a professional and great team! I have changed my heating and hot water broiler to a wall hung combined unit! It was a whole day job! The installation was smooth and neat.
