Had a situation with no heat or hot water after normal business hours when the temperature was supposed to drop to below freezing. How comforting to call Universe and speak to a helpful person rather than listen to a recording. Frank was on time and diagnosed and repaired the problem right away. He was experienced and knowledgeable and had the parts he needed right in his truck! The best part was everything was covered under the service contract. Thank you Universe! Frank N. 11/12/19 |

Most recent employee to visit and repair was Russ B. Hate to single him out as EVERY tech that has ever come to our home from Universe is the type of guy you would invite to dinner. Courteous and treat your home like it was their own or better. Have been a customer for over 40 years, first for appliances, then had ductless AC installed and a conversion to gas heat. I wish I could give them 5 stars! The salesman had told us a lot about the brand of condensing gas boiler. After Universe finished the job, a guy came from National Grid and could not turn on the unit. He said this is the first time he sees such a brand (Rinnai)! After calling Universe they confirmed that there is a need for purging in this model and that after finishing the job they should have waited for national grid to come! Anyway, Universe sent an emergency unit. Instead of being apologetic the emergency guy was mad and rude!!!! blaming the national grid guy!!! Oil to gas heat and hot water conversion. Universe came on time, worked professionally during the day, tried to minimize inconvenience and mess, cleaned up after themselves, and finished the conversion in one day. I still need to see how the new new furnace works over the long haul, but we are off to good start. I'm reluctant to give anyone 5 stars, but I can't really find fault with anything they did.
