Jason arrived promptly at my door with a smile on his face! He was very helpful, efficient and friendly. Great service! I also must mention Alyssa, the dispatcher, who took my call for service. She listened and understood the issue and then called me back to confirm time of appointment. She was great!!

They do good work, but I don't like how they keep trying to scare me into buying a new boiler!!! When I don't need one, no less. It's disgusting then to find out I don't really need one, they are just trying to increase their bottom line.

They respond promptly and arrive within the time space projected. They keep my boiler going and are very courteous and professional. Not crazy how they keep trying to sell me a new boiler when I know I don't need one. It's very stressful to be told I need a new boiler. Who doesn't? Especially when the one who is telling me this, sells boilers.

Technician Tom was outstanding and very thorough. Was at my home 2-1/2 hours checking and testing my entire heating system. That just doesn’t happen anymore ! Old school service !

service people...on time, very nice, one appliance problem was solved today....plumbing problems still to be done (if done right and on time I will be glad to write another review)....only problem is some of the work seems a little too costly....but again.....still pending an additional review....cannot give it stars on plumbing works. but appliance repair was good.....4 stars

It was a pleasure doing business with them. Mike was great. He was very thorough. He didn't just fix one thing and leave. He went over everything with us and explained it in simple terms. We didn't get the refrigerator fixed because we thought it was too expensive to fix. Mike was completely honest and upfront with everything. I would definitely hire Universe again.

My heart sank when i saw a pool of water under my boiler, and it getting bigger! I immediately called Universe, and inside an hour, Frank C. arrived. he diagnosed my problem and swapped out the faulty part within minutes and ensured my heating was fully functioning. Frank was very informative, efficient and professional. An excellent representative for Universe! Thanks again Frank

Technician Frank came by and figure out the problem with my boiler. Courteous friendly and did a great job. Thanks Frank again. But. price tooooo high &125 to come in /part $65 looked it up / in stalled like 300$. And year warranty $ 600 hundred dollars. You make your decision ! I’m done with that company

Again, Universe has come to my rescue! Within about 3 hours of my call I had a Field Tech at my house. Mike works clean, neat and is polite and professional . After determining my problem, he convinced me to reach out to the manufacturer as the warranty was only 3 days past the purchase date anniversary. NO MONEY GRAB here. This is the second time that the service people of Universe have recommended solutions that did NOT involve paying THEM. NO charge here. I will ALWAYS recommend Universe. They hold my contract for Heat and AC too and I feel very confident that if/when I need them, they will be there with expertise, honestly and integrity!

Plumbing was fantastic as well as the HVAC. We used them a few times and when it came to the kitchen renovation, we decided to use them for electrical. After that, my opinion drastically changed. It's two different divisions so my review is on the electrical. The head electrician was Joe Diacomo and the initial clean up was great. After saying he was taking care of us so many times, when it came to the finishing as well as items that we thought were included it has been a nightmare. Under cabinet lights, he said he forgot to include that after we had signed the contract despite being discussed and confirming we would do that, and then he charged us another $1000 half way through the job. WE failed our electrical inspection two times for just sloppy work. For our stove, it was clicking and when we went to the Wolf Technical help site, they told us to check to see if the polarity was reversed, we called the head electrician, Joe Diacomo, and his answer regarding our brand new stove was, I think you need a new stove in a cocky way (Implying it's not his work). We had the Wolf technician come out and they checked and sure enough it was a reverse polarity. We then had to call Universe again to complain to have Joe come out to fix that. Then we failed at other parts of the kitchen. Again sloppy work. Failed for lack of GFI outlets in areas that were suppose to be placed, reverse polarity again. We called to complain to Joe and we were just referred to the main electrical department. They had to convert to ARC breakers because we failed the town electrical inspection again. If these are suppose to be professionals, we should have not had so many issues and they should be aware of what needs to be in place to be up to code. We had other issues with the under cabinet LED lights staying on due to incorrect switches that we had to call to complain about. Kathy, who handled appointments would get back to us, but it was after we had to call to complain and constantly follow up. Everything with the Electrical Department was a hassle. We had referred many people in the past to Universe, but after this experience, never again. Joe Diacomo started great, but it's what happens at the finish that was important and with all the failed inspections, it became such a hassle. Will NEVER recommend anyone to Universe. Stay away from the electrical side.

Tech came to the house on the early side of the appointment window which worked great for me. He took care of the problem with the HW heater expansion tank and made sure everything worked perfectly before he left. Very clean as well. I have used Universe for many years for my heating and HW system and will continue to do so.

Had a nightmare scenario,leaking hot water pipe underneath my brand new wood floor.Who do you turn to? So many scam artists and dishonest people out there.After about 3 not so great and 1 horrible estimate I lucked out when Tom came to inspect the situation.Great attitude checked everything thoroughly and saw solutions not a zillion problems with which to pad the bill. I'm a senior and a great target for scams.With Tom from Universe Appliance I received a courteous,professional and fairly priced estimate of the work necessary to fix my problem.On the day of the work Tom and 2 other guys showed up and worked their buns off 7 hours worth. Fixed the main thing and 2 other minor plumbing jobs.Excellent attitude and results. They're gonna be my plumbers from now on. Great job!!!

My dryer stopped working, I called and left a message for Universe at 9:30 PM. They called me the next morning at 8:30 AM as soon as they opened. They sent a Tech down within 2 hours. My Tech Nick was great, super professional and respectful of our house. He got the dryer up and working in an hour. Having a family of 5 you need your washer and dryer working 24/7. This is defiantly a professional company that is honest and you can trust. They clearly only hire good people, I highly recommend Universe !!

I used Universe Home Services to convert from oil to gas. Honestly Tim the manager is the reason I’m giving this company 5 stars. The conversion process was not smooth and I had many problems along the way however Tim was always VERY professional, calm, and addressed all my concerns. He is a model for what customer service should be. I do think he needs to train others at the company on ways to put the customer at ease and offer them solutions to problems that arise. I am enjoying the gas heating. Lower monthly bills! Although we had problems with our system after installation I would likely use this company again should the need arise.

I've a boiler/hot water heater contract customer since the 1990's. Have always been provided with very fast turn around time from the initial phone call to completion of service. This past week, on the recommendation of Universe technician Tom, the boiler was steam cleaned. Tom provided exemplary service and exhibited a robust knowledge of the steam system in my home. He checked and serviced every component within the system and verified that the boiler was operating at peak performance. Like many of the other technicians that have serviced equipment in my home, Tom was very sensitive to family members and cautioned them that the heat would be on for several hours and he would be moving boiler water from the basement to outside...much appreciated by my family. I would whole-heartily recommend Universe Appliance, as I have to neighbors and other family living in Nassau County, to maintain HVAC equipment. And my sincere thanks to Tom for providing me with piece of mind concerning my home's equipment .

We have had many plumbers respond to our home for various repairs and problems. Never have we had a tech plumber like your representative respond . He responded within the assigned time period, polite, energetic and as we found out very knowledgeable. upon assessing the requested repair on our very recently purchased new faucet.As the project advanced your representative discovered that the kitchen faucet was indeed a used unit with rust and corrosion on the gasket.This probably was a repacked returned unit a Lowes purchased item from Garden City. Sorry about the long story but was fantastic. Everything was fixed and done neatly and expertly. Finally we found a great plumber. We have been your customer for years starting when you were in Lynbrook. Do not ever let this J leave He is the best. Thank you again for not disappointing us !
