Paul Smith is a credit to Universe with his expertise, but even more so with his upbeat personality that makes you say “I hope I won’t have to call Universe for service again soon, but if I do, send a tech like Paul every time.”

Gary was phenomenal! I manage a service business and would kill to have an employee like him working for me. Very knowledgeable and exceptionally helpful in guiding us through understanding the differences between central air and a ductless system. My wife was very comfortable with him inside our house and around our 3 year old, which is generally not the case with strangers.

Cory’s ability to diagnose and create a way to fix our recent emergency with only the tools he had on hand is proof that he and his company care about getting the job done on the spot for the comfort and convenience of the customer. He and Sal also made quick work of the subsequent replacements upon their return to fully correct the issue, leaving a spotless workspace and fully-working plumbing system after very little downtime. James R. was very helpful and polite. He arrived at our house at 4:15 PM . We had only low furnace heat on a very cold day. He determined that the problem was in the control board even though the furnace was only 2 years old and was installed by Universe. He went to his Merrick Office to get a new board, before the office closed at 5 PM. Then he returned and quickly installed it. I couldn’t be happier with Universe Appliance. This is the third time I’ve used them (central ac, plumbing, and today for electrical). I received a call that the electrician could come earlier than the time I had chosen. Jimmy O. introduced himself, was courteous and professional. He diagnosed the problem immediately and explained what needed to be done. I was given my choice of new switches and before I knew it, he had completed the work. He cleaned up the work area leaving it as neat and clean as he had found it. Thank you again, Universe. My gas boiler suddenly stopped working on a very cold January night. I was recommended to call Universe and couldn't have been more pleased. Within a half hour they got back to me and a repair person was sent out to check the problem. It turned out to be a very small issue, but the mechanic explained it to me, and quickly remedied it. Needed an AC installed in my elevated home. Universe’s consultant Frank Barczik is cool, straight forward and fair. Not only he had visited my home a few times, but also he called his installer onsite to ensure the appropriate setup. You guess what, Universe gets the bid – they will install the AC for my home.
