Will came out to give me an estimate on my leaking drainage pipe. The estimate was fair, and he informed me of the water filtration system Tipping Hat offers. Then he began to inform me of the kitchen and bath remodeling services Tipping Hat subcontracts out. I was in an emergency situation with a burst pipe in my basement. I called all the plumbers I know but got no answer but because I'd saved a magnet and had a number, I was able to get ahold of someone at Tipping Hat. They were able to rearrange a service member's schedule and got someone over to my house in a little over an hour. The service man was very efficient and knowledgeable. It took him a bit longer than estimated but within a few hours, the leak was fixed and I had water again. My only complaint is it seemed expensive and granted, I was in a panic but another plumber said they charged me about twice what he would have. Hard to know. I was very happy to be able to get functional again but it came with a high price. But I would use Tipping Hat again if faced with an emergency. Mellisa V. 12/03/19 |

I had a plumbing emergency and called Tipping Hat Plumbing. The tech that resolved my problem was Jay *****. He went above and beyond to make sure that I was completely satisfied. I felt bad because he had to leave and return with additional equipment. He ran a camera each time so that I was aware of what exactly was clogging my main sewer line. They offered sending a Google calendar reminder, photo and name of technician that would be coming, and a call reminder about thirty minutes before the technician arrives. All very convenient with an exact appointment time, vs a 3-hour time range that most competitors offered.

My boiler heater stopped working last winter. I had to use several electrical heater to heat up the house that my bill went up to $350+ monthly the whole winter. I had total of 3 companies quoted for fixing it. The first 2 companies suggested replacung it that could cost $10,000-13000. Then I called tipping hat in Sep. Den came in to take a look, said he can clean to make it work for $1800. It took him 4+ hours to do the job in the dirty crawl space. Excellent service, as always. They ran a gas line for me 3 years ago. I didn't think to ask for a shutoff valve, which is required to install an appliance. I called them now, 3 years later, and they put it in, and refused payment, saying it should have been done in the first place. As far as I'm concerned, it was my fault for not asking for it, and certainly 3 years later, I was more than willing to pay for it.
