I called Pink Plumber because of their ad on the radio which is also on their website, for only $149.00 they will pump your septic tank. Good deal I thought. Half of the price I paid in the past. The company seems well known, advertising on a popular radio station. I went to their website, saw the $149.00 deal, what it included. â?¢ Pumping up to 1000 gallons of liquid â?¢ Up to 18 inches of digging to unearth the tank lid â?¢ Up to 24 inches of sludge (solid) removal â?¢ Inspection of the tank to make sure it is working properly Seemed for real. The guy located my septic tank and before doing anything at all, he said if he started, if he did anything at all, it would definitely be costing me about $800.00 or probably even more! I told him I had my septic tank pumped years ago for $300. After I told him that last time they didn't do all what he is saying, he saidI was probably ripped off, which he repeated many times. I didn't remember them digging up the top, but I may not be remembering correctly. Through investigation and asking questions, evidently these "deals" are no more of a trick to get in your door and fool you. The guy even told me he seen a lady just yesterday that had the same problem I had. Thing is I don't have a problem, I just want the tank pumped for maintenance. I wonder what he said and how he fooled that poor lady, or if she exists at all. Anyway, I found a company, highly rated who really did explain clearly to me that they charged a flat fee and these too good to be true deals are not for real. Switch and bait they say it's called. Of course if they do find a problem with the tank after they open it, they would let me know and it would be up to me if I want them to fix it or not. They could still pump it and would charge me the flat rate. Honest and up front is what I like. I feel like the employee really didn't care to do the job. They may do good work for others but I was very disappointed considering all the bragging they do on the radio how great they are! I cannot say enough good things about The Pink Plumber. From the time I called with my issue to the point Michelle arrived (which was very timely) to handle my problem I was treated with totally respect, friendliness and professionalism. Michelle diagnosed my issue advised what should be done efficiently, timely and with a smile. I was treated very poorly and quite frankly discounted and berated. Damage was done to the electrical line, and he laughed in my face, saying "you didn't read the waiver" This company is the only ones whom has EVER done work on my septic tank, but their reply, ...."wasn't me". The sewage line backed up and I needed a fast response. They were the only company willing to come out as quickly as I needed. Not only was Jack quick but he was super friendly and easy to work with. He not only fixed my issue but also provided me with a quote that was quite reasonable to get a permanent resolution to the much larger problem. We are selling our house and I have to get the septic pumped. We had this tank pumped out about 8 months ago. You can see where they dug the ground up to pump the tank out. When Cody arrived I showed him exactly where the lid to the tank was. He was arguing with me that where I showed him to did was not the spot. Cody kept probing the ground and I asked him to stop because all of our services are on that side of the house where he was probing. I tried to tell him again where to dig and he would not listen to me. At this point I had to ask him to leave. Today I had my tank pumped out and the lid was exactly where I said it was. Todd was extremely courteous and did a great job explaining the issues and options. However, I was disappointed in the fee that was charged. The issue was a small leak in one of the joints of the gas line, outside at the gas meter. We were quoted a flat rate of just over $600 to repair, because the entire meter section had to be re-secured and painted. As it turns out, the job only took 30 minutes. When I quested the tradesman about the charge, I was informed that it was a flat rate charge set by the company, because sometimes that job takes longer to complete. In the past, I've been very happy with the Pink Plumber. However, if I have another experience like the one yesterday, I will likely shop for a new plumber. $600 for 30 minutes of labor is way too pricey. Todd A. 06/13/19 |

From start to finish, Pink Plumber has a great process. Jason, the tech was great and demonstrated his knowledge of homes constructed in the 60's and 70's. TJ was awesome! Very kind and knowledgeable. He arrived on time and was very thorough in answering all my questions about different problems in the house. He installed our kitchen faucet and fixed our broken valve with ease. When we did have something not quite right, he took his time to troubleshoot and fix the problem. After having our septic pumped and repaired a separate problem occurred from equipment that ran over the water meter and caused a water leak in two areas. The company was notified and much discussion took place and a a technician was sent out to check the problem, a miscommunication with this technician took place and Jeff the person who runs the company was called, the problem was that they wanted us to pay for the repair work that was actually caused by the backhoe machine and this was not gonna happen. After my son sent in video, pictures and conversation with Jeff, he agreed to send out another plumber and to take care of the repairs to be done. I am happy to say that the plumber they sent (Dale), was one of the most professional hard-working people that I have seen in a long time. He kept me abreast of what he was doing and made videos of all the work he did. He cleaned up after himself and made a bad situation good. Nick and his co-pilot (didn't get his name) were super cool, straight forward and knowledgeable about what was going on with my system. Overall, I am very pleased with the service. Even though they were late with my appointment time, they consistently followed up and let me know the status of the technician. They didn’t solve the problem the first time but they busted their butts until they did. They came back as many times as needed and fixed the problem at no additional cost! The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars is because the first few times they came the technician tried to change the arrival times to earlier which became inconvenient. I provided instructions online about what the problem was and what part needed replaced. I then repeated that information to the woman who called to set up the appointment. The plumber sent out was prompt and courteous, but had not been given the information I provided online, did not have the part, and needed to order it and stated it would not be available for several days.
