First of all, sunshine plumbing took over the deal from the plumber i originally signed up with as the original plumber did not work in my area. it was great that i did not have to contact angies list to try to get my money back. the two plumbing companies handled it on their own. sunshine plumbing showed up promptly and showed great respect for my home. they figured out the problem ( a gas fireplace that hadn't worked for years) and fixed it. i would definitely use them again. I received an email confirmation the day before the scheduled service call confirming date and time of arrival. William arrived on time, was professionally dressed and courteous. The tenant makes a habit of removing shoes inside his front door, so William put on shoe protectors and kept them only while inside the condominium. We reviewed the work to be performed. Only then did William start the timer on his iPhone. He removed the old garbage disposer and kitchen faucet. He then installed the new Delta single lever faucet with brand new stainless steel braided supply lines and InSinkErator garbage disposer. After everything was connected, he completely tested the faucet and garbage disposal. He cleaned up all around the work area. He stopped the timer on his iPhone and calculated to the minute the labor charges. He was able to swipe my VISA credit card on the spot and email me a receipt for the work performed. On Dec 20th 2012 I purchased the $25 5 Point Toilet Tune-up. I had a toilet that was leading at the flapper seal and was running about once an hour. I called and scheduled for William to come on-site to address the tune-up and handle this issue. His schedule was very full so we scheduled for a noon appointment on Friday Jan 11th 2013. William arrived promptly and told me everything he would address. Through the 5 point tune-up he was able to address the issue on the toilet flapper leading. He also examined the two other toilets in the house and considered them in good working order. We discussed a replacement of the repaired toilet since it is 30 years old. I wanted a low-flush toilet and he made a recommendation from a recent customer installation. He gave me an estimate for the new toilet installation and and estimate to haul away the old toilet. I was very pleased with the service on the problem toilet and to know that the other other toilets were in good working order. He checked all the plumbing under the sinks and found two that needed maintenance. He tuned up our furnace and found and repaired, two gas leaks -yikes! We contacted William Frew after purchasing a deal. He was very responsive and flexible in setting an appointment. He called when he was on his way, and was nothing but professional the entire time he was here. He picked up a very complicated solar system that was left incomplete and with many missing parts by my general contractor who built a new construction home and left it incomplete after taking all of his money. William showed up a little before the scheduled appointment. He was extremely professional in appearance and attitude. He explained his pricing structure before reviewing the work to be performed and providing an estimate. He made sure to inform me that I did not have to have him do the job, I could just get the estimate from him and do something else if I wanted. When he reviewed the work to be performed he noticed immediately that we had a slight gas leak problem and corrected it on the spot, this was not part of the work that we needed him to perform, I find this to be exceptional professionalism. He explained exactly what the work was that he was going to do and provided an estimate. As he was doing the work as requested he noticed another unrelated issue and corrected it on the spot. After the work was done he explained the issues he encountered and showed me the work that was done. The work done was excellent. He spent the time to clean up the work area after he was done. I needed several plumbing type things done at my house but didn't know a good plumber in the area. My girlfriend was looking around Angie's List and saw a special Sunshine Solar & Mechanical was running. She did some research and saw several great reviews about them, so we took a chance and booked some time the next week. William, the owner/operator showed up right on time at 8am, always a good sign. We had purchased the parts we thought we needed and he went through them and the list of things we wanted done. William is the consumate professional, he explained his rates and that he would only bill for time that he was working. After agreeing to the order to do things he pulled out his phone and timed in using an app. Anytime he had to take a call or go to his truck he timed himself out. He also was more than happy to let us look over his shoulder and see what he was doing, and tell us what the problem was before he fixed it. Our list included changing out a sink, 3 faucets, all hardware in a bath/shower, all hardware in a shower to fix a drip, tightening a toilet to the floor, and flushing out the hot water tank. He was able to do everything that morning except the shower, only because it has some old, weird parts. He found a place for me to go and buy the stems, seats, and faucet handles and said he'd come back when I got them. A couple weeks later I had the parts and he stopped buy and installed them - at no charge! He said it was still part of the first job and he was just finishing it up. Wow! Over the top customer service used to be the norm in the world, not so much now. Working with William was a real breath of fresh air. No trip charge, no parts markup, no BS. Just great service by a true professional. Also, while he started out in Breck he's now working in the Denver area. I strongly recommend Sunshine Solar for your next plumbing situation. William came out and did a complete flush and review of my water heater. He flushed the system, pulled out and cleaned the burner, removed both the anode rod and the water entry rod to check for their condition and then put it all back together. We purchased a $99 deal for a full plumbing and HVAC inspection and tune-up. The consumer definitely received the better end of this deal. We received 3 to 4 hours of service and many "little" things were fixed throughout the inspection period. Basically, the $99 deal made things in our home run a lot better afterword. There were some other minor and major items found. We were given estimates for repairing and or replacing items as needed, all without a time stipulation. We could have easily called in multiple companies for bids for the same work but opted to have William come back the following week and take care of it all for us. Bill was very professional, and he clearly and thoroughly explained what he was going to do, potential outcomes and possible solutions and their costs. He kept me apprised of what he was finding and his recommendations. With the toilets, there were straightforward fixes that he did efficiently. After he examined my water heater, he showed me the many items that needed to be updated/replaced and ultimately recommended replacing the water heater rather than spending a fortune to update it. The water heater came with the house, so I did not know how old it was. Bill checked the date of manufacture, so I had some idea of its age, about 15 years, and could factor that into my decision. Fixed several plumbing problems another company had done improperly. This is the company to call in Summit County/Denver, CO. He is quick, knows what you'll need without trying to take advantage; something that other companies, especially in Summit County, don't do. He had my mind alleviated and the problems fixed within 2 hours easy, even while working around Servpro's equipment.
