I've purchased 2 A/C units from Sunset over the past 13 years, once at my former condo & more recently at my house. I also have them do the maintenance visits. I've found them reliable, competent & responsive. I believe them to be an organization that operates with integrity. At my request, my recent maintenance visit was done without FF contact due to Covid 19. Tom stayed in contact several times by phone.

AJ was the service technician that showed up today to do our bi-annual maintenance on the air conditioner. Did a very professional job. Called before he arrived so I had time to put my pet in her crate. He wore protective booties and a mask, and was prompt and friendly. This is the same company that installed my new air conditioner into my house last year in January. Prompt! Polite! Knowledgeable! Thorough! Have used since 2001! Mid-year check-up. Arrived on time. Completed a thorough inspection of our system. Cleaned out a plugged discharge hose and the pan. My AC wasn’t cooling on Friday evening of July 4th weekend! I called Sunset air who normally services my units . AJ was out here in less than an hour. He called when he was on his way and gave me a timeframe. He arrived exactly when he said he would. He was very friendly even though I’m sure he’s had a long day! He quickly diagnosed the problem put in a temporary motor to get me through the weekend and said the office will notify me when my permanent unit is in and schedule a time to swap out the temporary. Hello, Thank you all so much for getting our Air conditioning back up and running. We really appreciate you all being able to get everything needed as quickly as possible. My son turned 16 yesterday and we were having a bunch of people over in the evening. The gentlemen finished repairing the first part of the AC and it got the house down to a comfortable level and we had friends over with no problem. The second team just left after putting in the second part. The air is blowing cold and is almost down to the level we typically keep the house. Thank you All! Tyler and AJ called to let me know when they would be arriving and came as scheduled the day before. It appeared that the thermostat was not functioning correctly and they confirmed that after a thorough review of my system including going on the roof of my condo building to make sure the condenser was working correctly.
They installed a new thermostat for me and made sure it was working properly before they left.
I appreciate the professional work ethic or both Tyler and AJ. Condo owners are not allowed on the roof and are therefore subject to dishonest technicians telling them they need costly repairs when nothing is wrong. I've had this happen in the past with a large company that has served SW Florida for several decades.
Also, Tyler and AJ both put coverings over their work boots before entering my home and they also worked cleanly while installing the thermostat.
Reliable, honest, courteous describes these guys.

Tyler called before arriving and arrived on time. He checked the air conditioning and educated me on not needing batteries for my thermostat. I wasn't aware I didn't need them. He and another technician worked quickly to clean and check the air conditioner and installed a new capacitor. To my knowledge this had never been checked before. The tech arrived well within the time estimated. He had a mask on and maintained a distance when talking. The Technician performed the requested work OK. My biggest problem with this service experience was that the tech did not wear a mask when close to me, when he came into my house. I had a ptac air conditioner in my condo that was install under 3 years ago. It stopped working and the company that I bought it from said the repairs would be over $1000 and it was not under warranty (it only had a 1 year warranty). After checking reviews and pricing from 3 companies, I decided to go with Sunset Air. They had a comparable unit in stock with a much longer warranty. From the time I called to get pricing until it was actually installed was under 5 hours, and I was still waiting for a replacement quote from the original company! Thank you Sunset Air!
