My air conditioning was running but did not seem to be cooling since I started using it this season. I called Rhymes to discuss what their coupon on Angie's List covered and was going to purchase it but Darren at Rhymes walked me through troubleshooting my air conditioning problem over the phone and solved the problem. Darren went out of his way to help me and as a result saved me a trip charge. Darren's recommendation was extremely helpful. Repaired the upstairs cooling unit that was located within the attic. Service was outstanding. Upstairs air conditioner went out in the morning and they sent out a service technician, Frank, right away. There was work done on the unit twice last year but the work done was by two other companies (they were sent by the homeowners warranty insurance co). Now without a policy and free to choose my service provider, I picked Rhymes because they were family owned and I grew up in a family business and good families tend to do good work. I immediately noted the difference with Rhymes. Frank was very professional in all aspects and was able to quickly diagnose the problem and ordered the parts for the repair. While waiting for the parts, he patched the unit together to get it running until the full repair could be done. He returned later in the day and installed the new piece and was out the door by 4pm. He was great about answering all my annoying questions about new unit options, costs, how to get it up there etc...even though he doesn't do installations. Unit is working well now and is upstairs just humming away. Yes, Rhymes the repair seemed pricey, but skilled/professional employees and quality parts don't come cheap. I would rather pay slightly higher price for the all around top quality service I received than to get by cheap with anything less. I became a loyal customer today and will certainly hire them again in the future. What really set Rhymes apart was the quality of the technician. Other companies were able to fix the problem but they didn't have the level of professionalism Rhymes had. I'm picky about the people that work on my home and I will stay away from the home warranty so I can keep the freedom to choose professionals like these. Frank R. 08/15/14 |

Annual service call on 2 air conditioner units; added coolant to one of the units. Service was as expected as I've had the company out annually for several years now. They were prompt, explained issues they did (needed coolant in one unit)or did not (all other parts of the system were operating correctly) find with my system and what needed to be done to keep it running optimally. We did use Rhymes to put a new air conditioning unit. It was great and I had no complaints. They showed up when they said they were going to and they offered us some rebate on the price and they came through without any problem. Rhymes is very easy to work with. When I called the office to ask about this service and prices the people I talked to were very friendly and polite. they quickly and easily answered my questions and worked with me to schedule the service. On the day of the service they arrived at the scheduled time. They were polite and friendly. They were careful to cover their shoes to protect my carpeting. Rhymes was the best! We moved out of state and had our home up for sale, it had been sitting for over a year - we finally sold the house!!! But one part of the negotiation was replacing the furnace. I found Rhymes Heating & Cooling through a google search, I called them for a quote and they went out there the SAME DAY! They were competitively priced but we chose them because of how easy they are to work with - we're out of state and you would never have thought because of how helpful and simple they made the process. Received a quick response for service call as it was a cold day and the house belongs to my elderly parents. service tech was courteous and informative. salesman was very informative and friendly, even brought a heater for the night. Crew installed furnace in a timely manner and were clean and friendly. Our furnace stopped working on the coldest night of the year. We called Rhymes the next day and they had a service technician out within 2 hours. He offered to fix the problem but because our furnace was 35 years old, he recommended that we look at new furnaces before spending a lot of money fixing the old one. The salesman came out and showed us all the options they offered. No pressure, just good information, knowledge, and experience in the industry. After looking at all our options, we decided to buy a new furnace. Rhymes offered multiple financing options, with zero out of pocket and well within our budget. The install team was out the next morning with our new furnace. The team was professional and had the old furnace out and the new one installed within a few hours. This all was accomplished in less than 24 hours. And the temps in the single digits, we were very thankful for the hard work and dedicated Rhymes staff from service, sales, and installation. After watching our electric bills skyrocket this past winter we decided it was time to get competitive pricing to replace our 38 yr old system with a new system. First we had the big conglomerate guys in town come out and give us a price. They priced us some ridiculous number on a system that was way overkill. Next we had a smaller company that we heard about on the radio. They priced us a system that was cheap I felt was not adequate for my needs. In summary, I felt like they were trying to sell me what they wanted to sell me and not what I was asking for or needing. Then I called Rhymes and their salesman came out and sat down with me and did a thorough analysis of what my needs were, what kind of infrastructure was already in place, and what my budget was. They were able to give me several options at different price ranges and we quickly came to an agreement. They were able to install the new equipment in a matter of days. Everything from sales to installation was professionally handled and we are very satisfied with our new system and smaller electric bills. Had a technician out to do a clean and check. He cleaned and tightened everything up and even did a minor repair. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything. No extra charges!
