I had an extremely positive experience with the service Mike A. provided for my 10 year old Furnace and Central Air Conditioning systems. Mike arrived promptly as scheduled and was very professional in appearance, organized, and with excellent communication skills. The appointment was made for a malfunctioning air conditioning unit, with a request to complete preventive maintenance on both the air conditioner and furnace beyond the repair. Mike worked straight through for several hours and was very neat and thorough with his work and explanation of his findings and completed service on the furnace beyond just the preventive maintenance. Mike needed to request additional parts which were promptly delivered to him, enabling him to complete the work in a timely manner. I found water on the basement floor but did not know where it was coming from. I called and asked for a plumber to come out. I received same day service. Bruce was prompt and friendly. He checked pipes and other sources and found it was actually coming from the ac unit. As a plumber he was not able to fix the problem but was able to call and have someone from the ac repair department come out in less than 30 minutes. I was not billed for his time because he could not fix the problem and the service call fee was forwarded to the person who could help. Tom arrived on time and after I explained the problem w/ the air cond. he did a through inspection of the system and determined that a previous tech from the same company had removed Freon from my air cond. that did not need to be removed causing my system to not work properly. Kudos To Mike Marquart
My mom has contracted with Minneapolis St. Paul Plumbing and Heating for various plumbing/sewer projects for her home in St. Paul for over 10 years now. She has come to trust MSP for delivering quality work and professional and timely service.
It is no surprise then that she recently turned to MSP to diagnose and remedy a leaking kitchen drain line and wall leak in a bathroom. Mike Marquart was assigned to our project and he did not disappoint. Mike is professional, competent approachable and an all-around nice guy. He was on-site, made a quick assessment of our situation and outlined a plan for further assessment/repair. In addition, given the age of Mom’s home and water distribution system he recommended a complete re-pipe of our home, which we agreed would be prudent to undertake at this time.
Mike sets a high bar in his approach to the customer. From the initial site visit through the course of the project, Mike articulated his findings and recommendations in clear, easy to understand terms; he willingly walked with us a second time (after initial visit) to confirm work plan and areas of work and to discuss schedule; during the project he took the time at the start and end of each day to check in as well as keeping us informed of any surprises encountered along the way. At the end of the project he showed us the work he had done and addressed our questions and additional requests. Mike’s style and level of communication was helpful in managing the stress that comes with a plumbing project of this magnitude.
We were impressed with the genuine interest Mike took in my mom and her home of 50+ years. It was easy to relate to and build rapport with Mike. The good rapport that developed made it easy for Mike to do his job and for us to understand and trust Mike. We were equally impressed with Mike’s commitment to deliver on the expectations he set at the start of the project (e.g., ensuring we had water and functioning facilities nightly during the 4-day project).
As the head of my former employer would always say, “People do business with people they like and trust”. We like Mike and look forward to doing business with Mike again over the next 5 years as members of the Total Care Club program.

We had Josh out today to fix some indoor air quality and comfort issues. The work that was completed looks great compared to the work my handy man husband did originally. I am extremely impressed with the work he provided today along with the courteous services and the cleanliness he showed while working. He took caution to the care of all my animals (dogs and cats) while coming in and out of the house. I called Mpls St. Paul Plumbing, Heating, and Air to see if they could send a service technician the same day - my ductless AC was not operating at full capacity. I was preparing for a party the next day and was concerned about the AC. The person who took my call was very friendly and helpful and was able to send a technician out that day, mid-day. Thomas E. arrived during the scheduled time period and was very professional and helpful. He took the time to explain the problem, showed me the options for repair, and made sure that I understood the work he'd performed before he left. The AC unit has been working well ever since. Recently, I bought a Carrier Air Conditioner and Furnace from MINNEAPOLIS AND
ST. PAUL PLUMBING AND HEATING . I was fortunate that they were installed by a young courteous chap who spent time familiarizing me with the new items and
showed me the programs on the thermostat .......and answered my many questions.
After completing the installation the area was restored and cleaned up - he even offered to help me move garden rocks which I was moving to another area and he felt were too heavy for me.
I was elated this morning when I was favored again with his service - I highly
recommend Justin!

I just had my AC fixed. It was the best experience I’ve ever had with a plumbing and heating company. In the future I’m never going to shop around. MSP plumbing and heating will always get my business. This is what I loved:- Mitch was on time and was really friendly with my curious kids. (When mitch was gone, my son asked if mitch could come back again)- Mitch was very quick. He diagnosed my problem. We had a technician come out today to look at a broken air conditioner. They were able to fix it same day. The service was great! He made sure about each thing before just going ahead and fixing it. I have gotten many things done (new water heater, new furnace, air conditioning tune up etc) through Minneapolis St Paul Plumbing, Heating, & Air and these guys are awesome! We just had Nick G come fix our toilet seal and rebuild our flusher. Nick was a great guy who came in did his gig and sold us on a warranty so we can sleep better... but I told him if the flusher quits working in 30 days I will mail it back to him first.

Brian and the teammate training with him were very professional and took time to identify and formulate different options for me when we were having trouble with our air conditioner. Jason K was very professional and thorough. He explained what he was doing with each step and didn't seem to mind my watching out of curiosity. He my place neat and tidy. Although I wasn't happy with the price, I was appreciative of the timeliness of my water heater install. One minor complaint would be that there was chip and dent at the top of the brand new water heater, but Jason assured me it was only cosmetic and wouldn't affect the operation of the unit. I had quite an interesting Friday recently -- woke up at 5am to the smell of an electrical/burning type smell in the house!My husband and I searched the entire home, looking at all the outlets, plugged-in electronics, etc. looking for the source of the horrid odor. Hubby finally found it: the utility closet downstairs that houses our furnace/AC unit. Taking the name off a service sticker plastered to the side of the furnace, I filled out an online form for St. Paul Plumbing Heating & Air at 6am. By 7am I had a callback and wonder of wonders they had a spot open before noon for a technician to come out.I booked it immediately -- it was supposed to be in the upper 80s and very high humidity; NOT a great time to be without air conditioning! -- and assumed when they said, "he'll definitely be there before noon" that I'd be waiting around until at least 1:30pm.To my surprise, he showed up at 9:20am! Super. Thomas E. was extremely polite and friendly and went over everything with a fine-toothed comb; then sat me down to go over the options. All of them expensive, by the way, since the unit was essentially dying (motor was kaput -- hence the burning-type smell).Hubby and I decided on a course of action and Thomas got to work -- in the ever-increasing heat of the day (and our house!). He ended up having to call in an other technician to finish the job -- it was a big project at our place but he had another appointment later that afternoon -- so Mike A. came to relieve him.Mike came into the house and immediately stooped down to pet my dog and ask her name -- ALWAYS a hit with me ;) After exchanging pleasantries -- he's a VERY funny fellow, and chock-full of personality -- he buckled down to work and finished up an hour earlier than he'd thought. I was extremely pleased with not only Mike's efficiency but also his great attitude and his humor (I'm a people-person so I get a kick out of bantering with everyone!). He did a great job and I'd have this company back to do any work on the A/C or furnace, as they responded quickly, showed up on time (early, even!) and did the work quickly. Great job, guys! We woke up to an electrical/burning smell in the house one morning. After searching high and low, we pinpointed the source as the utility room -- where the furnace/AC unit is located.
I filled out an online form for St. Paul Plumbing & Heating at 6am (there was a sticker from a previous service visit right on the unit; I didn't even perform a search for another company) and by 7am I got a callback.
They said they could have a technician at the house "certainly before noon;" of course I took this with a grain of salt and figured it'd be closer to 1:30 :) However, the tech -- Thomas E. -- showed up at the house by 9:20am. I was pleasantly surprised!
Thomas was extremely polite, courteous and friendly. He took the time to check out the entire unit and then sat me down to go over the options. Of course, they were expensive -- this type of equipment doesn't come cheap, especially when it's burning out (the motor'd essentially died, hence the electrical smell) -- but he didn't pressure for the utmost in expenses.
He ended up having another tech come and relieve him as he'd been promised onsite at another client's so Mike Anderson finished up. Mike, by the way, isn't just a good worker -- he's chock-full of humor and super-personable.
Overall we paid a LOT of money to get the A/C unit up and running again, but that's life. Turns out we were over-working it by using heavy-duty air filters (making the motor work all the harder to push air through them) as well as not having cleaned the actual equipment outside enough (the cottonwood/dirt/gunk on it was making it work at 275 something-or-other when it's supposed to be at 210 (psi??? I can't remember) -- which they got it working at after all their effort).
Is this company expensive? Yes -- but they also responded immediately to my request for a call and got me in same-day, PLUS fixed the issue on a day of extremely high humidity and over 80 degrees.
I'd say the peace of mind -- and a working A/C unit in the middle of a VERY hot summer -- along with their excellent customer service is worth every penny. Thomas E. 07/25/15 |

I called because I had a water leak from the A/C unit in our home and the first person I spoke with was very helpful. When the technician showed up today, Thomas E, we was very positive and explained everything he would be looking at and doing today. We walked me through the components of the furnace and A/C units, explained how they all worked together and gave me detailed information as to what the other problems were with our system. He was very up front and honest, laid everything out on the table so I could make an informed decision.
