-Josh S. came out this morning first thing and when he left I felt much more confident and clear about my furnace as it once again met my expectations! (Initially there was confusion with getting a technician to my house--I was able to accommodate for needed adjustments on timing--so no problem there.)
-I figured the reason my furnace wasn't kicking in was some kind of a re-set issue rather than a serious problem but I thought that if I had a technician come in I would learn more about my new furnace and discover if my homeowner-management instincts were good or lacking smile emoticon .
-My original furnace failed two weeks after buying my house in the coldest days of February 2015 and MSP installed a new one quickly. So waking yesterday to find that my wonderful programmable thermostat WAS working but the furnace hadn't kicked in put me into a momentary tizzy.
-Walking to the basement I noticed the gas valve had been shut off earlier in the week and not turned back on. Turning it on solved nothing so I replaced a fuse to the furnace which initiated electrical activity but still the furnace didn't kick in entirely and shortly the electrical activity stopped again.
-Josh S came in, listened to my troubleshooting attempts then checked out the furnace. HE WAS GREAT FOR ME! I generally have lots of questions and hover over technicians to learn everything I can about all things in my old house! He was very open to explaining what I wanted to know about the current problem and error codes the furnace will offer. He confirmed that what I had done made sense and explained several other furnace-related things I asked him---not to the extent that I will try to apply for an HVAC job smile emoticon but I sure feel better about my furnace.
-Sappy as it sounds, I'm now confident that my new furnace and MSP will keep me warm this winter....last winter was brutal in this old house. THANKS JOSH! Josh S. 10/23/15 |

Brian A. was amazingly helpful, which was a breath of fresh air after previous bad experiences. A down-to-earth, compassionate individual, Brian stood out from the crowd of often pushy and sometimes impatient HVAC specialists I have dealt with it the past. For this I applaud MSP plumbing, heating, and air and will definitely patronize them in the future. I was very happy with Jason Keuhn from MSP Plumbing Heating. He was on time, polite and left no mess. While helping us with a problem with our in floor heating system he noticed that one of our recently installed water heaters was suffering from a manufacture defect which we hadn't noticed. He replaced the water heater free of charge as it was still under warranty. If he hadn't noticed that defect we might have had a flood! Very, very happy. Thanks Jason! Jason K. 10/21/15 |

Thomas E at Minneapolis St. Paul Plumbing and Heating is just a great person. My boiler was not working, and he immediatedly figured out the problem. During his service call, he explained and reviewed my system which is a bit complicated (boiler, air conditioning, water pump, and humdifier) in concise, simple terms. Service was excellent. From the salesman (Don) to the installers. Justin P. and Josh A. They answered all my questions. Everything was as promised. The installers showed up on time, clean uniforms and appearance. I had a complete system replacement (A/C and furnace) They were tidy during the install, cleaned up after. Todd ******, service expert for Minneapolis St. Paul Plumbing and Heating, came to our home to check out two leaky faucets. One faucet did not need any repair and Todd would not charge us for checking it out. He did replace cartridges in two bathroom faucets. His manner was pleasant and efficient, and he was very knowledgeable about our plumbing concerns. I recently had MSP Plumbing Heating Air install a whole house water filter because my wife opened her water bottle filled with water from our kitchen faucet and it wreaked like chlorine. The day before the appointment, the company called and confirmed that the scheduled time - 8:00 am - still worked for us. The company rep was very friendly and courteous. Jeremy arrived promptly at 8am as scheduled. I showed him my utility room where we discussed the strategy for optimizing the benefits of the filter. He also explained in detail to me, and then again to my wife, the various water sources in our house - bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry - and whether those sources were hooked up to hard or soft water, and provided an analysis of both. He was very knowledgeable, and provided the information necessary for us to make an informed decision. Since he was here, I also asked him to take a look at my plumbing systems just to double-check that everything was set-up correctly (we didn't build the house). After a few minutes Jeremy came upstairs and told me my humidifier and boiler were hooked up in a way that is not recommended and reduces the life of the products. I asked if he could fix it, and he said he would be able to very easily since he had to plumb the filter in. A while later he came up and said it was installed and everything had been take care of. He brought me to the utility room and explained what he had done and provided a detailed explanation of how the water filter works to ensure that I was comfortable with everything. He also gave me his business card and told me to call him if I had any questions. I would highly recommend MSP Plumbing Heating Air and will be using them for any future Plumbing and Heating needs. We use MSP because we want more than service and parts, we want good advice on appropriate solutions. We've had multiple issues with our furnace and AC. We felt one solution was inappropriately sold to us because our equipment was so old it did not have repair parts available (and thus was not worth fixing the electrical supply to it). MSP offered a credit on our account to compensate us for what we felt was poor guidance on their part. While the diagnosis and solutions were difficult due to our specific equipment, MSP resolved them all with good customer service. Thomas E. 10/06/15 |

Jason was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The one thing that impressed me the most was the care and attention to detail that he possessed. He always made sure to put on booties before coming into our home, he was very diligent in making sure to wipe everything down with a towel, and he made sure to take all of his trash with him. He was having a tough time getting the cover panel back on our a/c unit, but his persistence to make sure it got installed correctly was very much appreciated. Justin P, installation expert, spent an entire day removing my 55 yr old furnace and installing the new Carrier. When I had questions, his responses were sincere, he looked me in the eye, and I didn't feel I was being given canned answers. Justin did a nice job of fitting new parts to old parts, taping seams to minimize air leaks. He had to install a new vent pipe from the water heater to the main chimney and it looks solid and will function better than the old, smaller pipe.
