Sean and his assistant were scheduled between 8 and 10 am, and arrived at 9. Sean discovered that the truck he was using, which wasn't the one he usually used due to their trucks being painted with new logos and coloring, didn't have an auger to try to clear our toilet. So they had to drive back to the office, which took longer than it should have because of the truck painting going on. Then when they got back, his assistant discovered that the new faucet I bought for the kitchen had a missing part. So they went to lunch while I went to get a replacement. After I got back, we saw that one of the valves was leaking under the sink, so we had to put a pan under it until they arrived. From there everything went smoothly (whew!), except for the need for a new toilet due to an object being stuck in the trap. The only thing I could blame Sean for is not checking the truck for an auger before coming, otherwise everything was done very professionally and courteously. Sean G. 08/28/13 |

Anticipating my desire for "getting it right " the first time, his background and training as a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier engineer fits the bill and meets and exceeds my expectations.
While not always the lowest price in town, Dutton Plumbing makes-up for that with superior technical service and quality materials. And if a fixture, for some reason, doesn't meet my expectations, the folks at Dutton Plumbing are responsive to making it right for me and the family. How can a non-plumber make a clear evaluation?
Were we treated nicely, yes. Did they fix things, we hope. Was it EXPENSIVE YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We didn't get bids, we are trusting that what they sold us is fair market value....we have used your services before over the last ten years since we were in Burbank and you always are pricier.
We laughed because the guys said they had everything on the truck and they had to leave twice to get parts...funny...the shower faucet in the white bath is now too loose and doesn't hold at a chosen temp? I need to tell Craig C. and this year contract said they'd check the while system but we live in a condo and only are responsible for the walls out to the inside so if there is a need to replace pipes it's HOA involvement...
so other than that, when will the complete check take place and can Craig look at the faucet again? Also he was training Brad at the time, that was fine with us, perhaps we may have learned something...
1,600 for a water heater? well we'll see..we're not plumbers...love the booties, thanks!! the stars are yet to be determined...we'll be calling... Craig C. 08/20/13 |

Wow , I guess I am the only one who has gotten good service from Dutton. Kevin K has done a number of plumbing jobs for me including installing a garbage disposal a few days ago. Every time I got a excellent job done with care and checked carefully to insure the problem was fixed or the unit was installed and operating as it should. Keven came out to do an inspection on my home and he not only completed the inspection, he educated me! I never knew how much up keep there was on some of the hoses and such! He explained and showed me the issues my home was having and fixed the major ones on the spot! Returned home from a vacation to find a broken pipe in my front yard and had to shut off the water from the street. Call Dutton Plumbing and was told that someone would be out between 8 and 10am. Ryan J showed up at 8:45. 20 feet of galvanized piping need to be replaced with copper and Ryan recommend installing a ball shut off value. Ryan gave me price up front with no hidden cost. Ryan was able to restore water to the house while he replaced the broken pipe. He finished the job with in 2 1/2 hours and my yard looked like he was never there (minus the pool of water). Ryan was very polite, clean, explained everything he was going to do and answered all of my questions. Thanks Ryan. Brian S. & Romero did a great job replacing a garbage disposal and problem pipe connection. I love that they are so careful and explain what they are doing as they do the work. I teach for a living and appreciate a clear explanation, which they are both very good about. While I always appreciate workmen that are quick to do their work, so we can all "move-on" with life, I am pleased that Brian and Romero take their time to check and double-check that every aspect of the job is completed with care. Our Technician Sean was Awesome. We had to put in a New gas line, among other issues in this house and they where here until almost 1100:Pm at night to give us hot water. We where still having problems that night and Sean and his crew worked there butts of to give us a temporary fix until the next morning so we could have hot water for Monday Morning.. Today Kevin K was my HERO! My Mother's diamond earring fell down the bathroom drain and I was a basket case! My Mother passed away in 1984 and I was very upset at the thought that it was gone!. The night before an inspection on a townhouse I was selling and a week before the closing, my neighbor's water heater began leaking into my house. I called Dutton overnight and they were at my house at 7a and saved my hide. Inspection went fine and the closing was smooth....So, when I moved I called Dutton to bid the installation of almost all new plumbing after a remodel.
This was by no means a plumbing emergency, but rather a key component in a full house renovation. I got multiple bids before Dutton came out. Kevin and Cody came out to the house and did a bid for me. Dutton was definitely the highest price but they worked with me and came down to be competitive with the other quotes. Kevin's works was top notch, he and Cody even helped me by catching a lot of little issues that would have presented future problems in regards to the remodel and the new fixtures. They were timely, courteous, professional and above all the work was first-rate. The quality of the work and materials made me feel that the slightly higher price was more than worth it. As usual, my experience with Dutton Plumbing (Brian, specifically) was excellent. Brian has done quite a few repairs/installations at my house and he is always professional, efficient, clean and funny. I really like talking to him, and appreciate how he shows me specific aspects of the work without being condescending. Brian (and Wally!) were here all day on Wednesday installing a new water heater and toilet, and with the water heater, I am satisfied that it is finally done correctly. We liked both of these techs very much but were stunned to be charged over $900 to replace a toilet even though the job required two trips to our house. We had some problems with our installation of a new faucet; Each time we called in our complaints Sean was there at the door taking responsibility pleasantly and efficiently.
