Dutton Plumbing has a professional team of technicians, who are also very nice! Felix J, was the lead technician. I had called Dutton on Saturday and Felix came that afternoon. My main line sewer clean out is under the house and Felix went under the house, ran the rooter and video camera. He and Dustin worked on it until 6:30 in the evening. To make a long story short, my mainline sewer pipe had a 45 foot stretch of "Orangeburg" pipe which was used extensively right up till the early 70s. It's made basically of tar paper and it had begun to disintegrate.(the pipe was 52 years old) I decided to have Dutton use the "pipe bursting" technology which I had never heard of, but eliminates the need to dig a 45 foot trench. I think your pricing is so out of whack with your technician offering the most astronomically expensive option first and foremost. Larry was a nice guy, but it felt like a little bit of a salesman in my kitchen. When we did agree on an option, ($79) I felt as though he gave my toilet about 30 seconds worth of attention and then, again, suggested the toilet needed to be replaced. Then, he stood in my kitchen and asked me to complete a survey with him standing there, giving me no privacy to say what I really wanted to say. He told me wanted to win a trip to Hawaii. Basically wanted them to fix an outside faucet, which they did. Did an annual something-or-other with our tankless water heater which they had installed. Had to remind him it should be free, because we paid for some lifetime deal. He denied it, then came back later and said "yes." Would have cost me hundreds.more had I not pressed the issue. He forgot to use the $75.00 coupon I had showed him earlier, and had to recalculate the bill. Bottom line: plumbers are expensive, but these guys seem to use gimmicks to get you to pay more. Our water heater started acting up and stopped working altogether.One call To Dutton Plumbong and Paul was at our house within 2 hours with no rush charges! The technician Paul was friendly polite and very knowledable and had the water heater fixed in what seemed like a couple of minutes.
